  1. Taken off the current depth chart at BuffaloBills.com, if the Bills start off in their 3-4 look this week against Chicago, here would be your starting front 7 if the second string completely replaced the first string, except for Kyle Williams of course:

    LDE Alex Carrington

    NT Kyle Williams

    RDE Spencer Johnson

    SLB Arthur Moats

    MLB Akin Ayodele

    WLB Keith Ellison

    JLB Aaron Maybin

Now, considering the Bills are last in most defensive categories after almost half the season, not replacing at least some of the starters is a slap in the face of their back ups who practice hard all week and I'm sure would love the opportunity to do better! Looking at that entire second string, I can't imagine the results being much worse if Edwards grew some cahones' and replaced the entire band of 6 stiffs playing with Kyle Williams this week!!

It seems to me that even bad football players can get motivated to play a little "less badly" if they are benched when they suck as much as these guys have sucked so far in 2010. Chan sits there and tells us he believes in "tough players" and "discipline and hard work." B.S Chan! Bench some of these slackers and then we might believe that hyperbole and "tough talk."

Are you serious? We would get killed for real with this line up. Moats is the only backup doing anything, I would like to see what Carrington can do though.

  2. Kyle is great and has been playing very well consistently.

Not sure why people think he is undersized for NT. Was watching Pitt last night and their 2 NTs are about the same size:

    Casey Hampton - 6'1" 325lbs

    Chris Hoke - 6'2" 305lbs

    Kyle Williams - 6'1" 306lbs

Hoke is but Hampton is way bigger than 325, football at all levels is notorious for falsifying heights and weights. Remember when Bill Parcells was with the Jets and said he would put up good money that Ted Washington weighed 385 or better and not 325.

  3. The comparison made is ridiculous. Even Hall of fame quarterbacks have bad games. Kudos for pointing that out. The difference is that those three quarterbacks have established themselves over the past decade as the elites of the league. They have all won super bowls and will have busts in canton. Ryan Fitzpatrick has established himself throughout his career as a backup quarterback that can play well for stretches but makes crucial errors and has major accuracy issues.

Point is taken, though, that Fitz is still playing fairly well overall. He will still be benched at some point this season even if it's not due to his play. This team's season has been over for a while now and they will want to evaluate Brohm even if he doesn't pan out. If the Bills were contending for a playoff spot with a terrific team around Fitz, sure leave him in. This team is in evaluation mode and they already know what they have in Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Not going to happen nor should it. They keep playing the same guys on D because that's the best we have ( , no offense Kyle)and we know the season is over but any one who is a competitor is going to do whatever it takes to win and that is what you need to change the looser mentality we have developed from the previous decade and regime. Fitz is a good player and the longer he develops the better he will be and will prove he is our franchise QB especially when we can get some real starting tackles to protect him. Drew Brees stunk his first 3 years and then he became an all pro and he doesn't have a great arm or talent but what he has superior heart and mind and Fitz has that in spades.

  4. Why where the outside guys on the field goal coverage not rushing the kicker? I was infuriated watching every time who ever it was just standing there not even taking a step towards the line of scrimmage! What happened to the old days when we and the NFL used to go after punts and kicks? Now everyone just wants punt return or apperently it takes too much effort to go after kicks. Remember when we scored 3 touchdowns in 91 seconds(?)in the raiders game 20 years ago and Bruce Dehaven was our spt coach. We need to get back to that attacking style and maybe special teams will win us a few games instead of loosing them.

  5. Kelsay's position is not designed to generate a lot of tackles in this scheme, he is more of a containment guy.

Dude you are retarded, the more you post the dumber you get. I have been a Kelsey supporter all this time but today sealed the obvious that he can't play OLB in a 34. He was good in our old D but today he was so out of place and not even close to containing or covering any kind of receiver. And he still needs to make tackles, its not like he is a "punt catcher".

  6. Why did Gailey call 3 pass plays with 1:30 left and 3 yards from FRG range? KC had no time outs and there was ample opportunity to win or at least tie and break this d@#$ losing streak. I thought that horrendous play calling left with Jauron. It's not that we lost, but we lost by the coach being stupid. Buffalo fans have put up with enough stupidity.

    I'm madder than Carl Palladino!

He called a great game so he went with what was working which the running game was not. BTW what is up with Fred? Has he been hanging around with spiller because he was dancin around all day back there instead making the read and hitting it hard.

  7. Shortly after Fritz took over as QB we have seen some improvements. Against every team they have played, good teams not some lame ones. the defense has been out there giving it their all and the ofense is improving and yes they need more. But they will get their win, its coming. Bills loyal fans keep heart.

    Why call him Fritz?

  8. Just finish watching the game! Sometimes football is played 5 quaters! No matter what u leave everything on the field! And the only player I notice that gave their all every down was KYLE WILLIAMS!

There was no urgency to win on the second possesion in ot! They still had to get in FG range and they look out of it! When u have a defense on their heels, go no huddle and go hard! They gave us the game and we still found a way to LOOSE! Now, this is my first post! So take it lite on me, but please give me your thoughts!

I felt some of the recievers weren't giving their full effort in OT, but Fitz gave it his all as did the rest of the team.

  9. This week's MVP goes to Fritzpatrick for his key interception at the end of regulation.

Honorable mentions to Todd Hailey for his timeout, and Moorman's shank to set up that final drive.

Our guys really stepped up and dodged a bullet for the second week in a row in a close game.

San Francisco suffered another victory, with Buffalo retaining sole possession of the top draft pick.

S-T-F up! it slipped out of his hands things happen, without Fitz we would not have come close.
