  1. After watching Gailey's presser I think it's pretty evident he now fully understands how bad Trent Edwards is. He mentions several times that they are still assessing "who they are" and that they will make the necessary changes to improve. How could you not pull the chord on Edwards? Yes, he is not surrounded with a lot of talent, but he is so bad, that it is embarrassing.

I'm still willing to give Gailey and Nix a chance. I think they have a chance to right the ship with a full 3 year commitment, but they need to find a QB with some confidence and stones. Gailey's biggest mistake to this point was underestimating how pitiful of a QB Edwards is. He's the type of guy who looks serviceable May-August, but come September he turns into a highschool QB out there.

If Edwards stinks the joint up @ New England look for Gailey and Nix to pull the plug on him and go with Brohm/Fitzpatrick.

One other concern I have with the Gailey/Nix combo is their sudden change of opinion regarding CJ Spiller. Guy looked lights out all preseason, and then he has a poor game in the home opener. Now all of the sudden he's not the starter? It seems like a knee jerk reaction and indicates a team that is already in full panic mode. It doesn't make sense to take a guy so high, annoint him starter and then put him on the pine after one poor showing. It's only going to hurt Spiller's confidence in the long run.

Yeah he knows Trent stinks, CJ will be fine he's a running back and when the game slows down for him he will be in there. Plus with all the talk of trading Lynch he needed to get some carries to be more marketable.

  2. I didnt say our QB's are so much better now did I? No I didnt. The underlying point is that while Vick is great for the highlight reel, overall, he's not that great, combine his stats with his age, and his record (1 mistake away from a permanant ban)= PASS IMO.

And he's certainly not a long term solution.

So? bring Vic in win some games groom a good QB behind and when he is ready make him the starter.

thats awesome except he was off the board when we drafted

My mistake, I thought we picked Lee 11th.

  3. I'd rather finish 0-16 than win a few games with Vick.

Quit being so self-righteous, He was brought up that way and to him it was normal. We kill thousands of animals and gladly eat them because that is normal to us. He did his time and we should have picked him up. If we were really smart we have traded for Rothlisberger this spring if he was truly available, actually we should have drafted him instead of Lee Evans, always draft franchise QBs first and everything else latter.

  4. Not always a huge Sullivan fan. But, in his defense, he has been right way more times than I ever have when it comes to predictions on the Bills.

I urge you all to read this column. The key phrase to me was how the 2009 draft was the jackpot for outside linebackers. We had the first pick and whiffed big time (this comes from a long supporter of Maybin who finally admits that the guy is never going to be the dominant player we had hoped he'd be).

    Link

Never was a Maybin fan, he was not even an option for us let alone a 235 end in 4 - 3 and he still stinks as 3 - 4 backer. Robert Ayers was my pick and he is starting for Denver BTW, my next pick was Matthews, nuff said.

"I don't know that I have the answers right now," Gailey said. "It's probably taking longer than I hoped that it would. But we're going to find the answers and make whatever adjustments need to be made. That's my job -- to get it fixed."

Evidently, Gailey didn't grasp the scope of the problem. There's only so much a coach can do. The organization has a multitude of woes, and most of them get back to dubious personnel decisions. James Hardy wasn't his mistake. John McCargo was an inheritance. So were Lynch and Edwards and, of course, Maybin.

Gailey knows what the problem is he just can't say it to the public. When we draft a good QB next year he will do what he has always done and that's good offense. It is pretty sad that that Gailey has worked with some pretty low level QBs and done well and Trent still is captain checkdown. Chan may still do some magic this year but it won't be with Trent. I try to give guys time to develop but Trent has been the same and the only good he will do for us is get us the top choice, so keep up the good work trent.

  5. Of coarse not, why are we wasting a full year to prove it!

    Next up Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Man you had me heading up to One Bills Drive with a lynch Mob. We just aren't good enough right now to compete so it is better to keep Trent in so we can get the top draft choice, which is what this franchise needs since it refuses to go after top shelf free agents. Don't give me that crap that we can't afford them because we are always under the cap, Ralph is just cheap. Any good team is over the cap and does whatever it takes to win like the last time we were over the cap.

  6. I am new here but am an old fan so this looks like hind-site but I wanted anybody but Maybin because you don't draft for potential in the first round. I wanted Robert Ayers who was a beast at Tennessee but my next choice was Mathews because the kid could flat out play. "They" claimed he was a product of USC and that he was just living off his family pedigree, bla bla bla. Yeah we don't want those slow white guys that that can play and are tearing up the League, we want athletes with potential and hope & pray and a wing and a prayer.

  7. wondering if we could offer a third and lynch for buluga ? . Knowing that buluga is a right tackle not a left but still a huge need for us.

not sure packers would do it but I think I would

Lynch played great today but the backfield is too crowded so I hope he is traded. Buluga would be a great addition and would take that in a heart beat, Driver would be good too but it would be dumb on Greenbays part.

  8. You guys can tell me if Iam wrong and I just might be but I just don't think he had winning in mind. What I think was his top priority was who could play this game and who has the heart to play. I think you will see biger changes in peronel next year.

The plan is to get the #1 draft choice, which is why Trent "Bieber" is starting, So everything is going according to plan. They tell us what we want to hear to sell tickets but like nix said last spring we aren't there yet (rebuilding).

  9. Luck will be the # 1 draft pick if he comes out. Personally I would have traded back twice in the first round and drafted Tebow and getting 2 more second rounder, traded "least mode" for a third giving us 2 thirds,3 seconds and our franchise quarterback. With the extra picks we could have gotten a starting left and right tackle and a real outside pass rusher.

It's funny how I would tell guys at work that Tebow is the next Elway and now he is in Denver. Tebow has the "IT" factor and will be a Hall of Famer.

  10. After watching that game, I was actually really impressed with our O-line. Especially Demetrius Bell. They gave Trent a good pocket out there for the most part, and Trent had plenty of time to throw the ball. The one exception was Green. He doesn't have quick enough feet, and he doesn't have a hard enough punch to play right tackle. He was getting beat around the corner pretty routinely.

Guess what guys, Trent is not a very good Quarterback. You can't stand in the pocket that long without throwing the football down field and expect to be successful. I think this city forgot what a good QB looks like. Trent doesn't take risks, he doesn't see routes develop like an NFL QB should, he doesn't have a tough competitive drive, and he plays scared. I've seen enough of this. You don't have the luxury in the NFL to give guys this much time to develop. Give the ball to Fitzpatrick and see what he can do.

This is just Nix's master plan to get the top draft choice

BTW the line was bad, no running game no pass protection

Trent looked liked smear the Q***r out there.

  11. Not sure if this has been covered in the past because I haven't been here as long as most of you.

Honestly my preferred way of cooking a fish would be running the ball down their throats, roasting their cornerbacks with great passes, and knocking them so hard with our D that they will be screaming for mama!

But food wise, I like to buy a nice bucket of fish and chips. I'm a lazy bastard like that when it comes too cooking but trying to change my ways for the better. I've been trying to bbq salmon in tinfoil. Just progressing with that. Seeing fish sear and eating it is good.

Anyway, anyone have their own interesting recipe to cook fish? On the field and over the fire I mean.

Damn I'm sooo getting pumped for this game!!! :D

fish is garbage food not even fit for dogs! Fish must die!!

I was just scrolling down a dolphins fan site, and was curious to see what the dolphins fans thought about sundays game. It seems like most of us, the real fans, are confident in the Bills winning. It also seems like ALL of the dolphins fans are looking it as an easy W.

Those ******* dolphins fans think it'll be an easy W. I want a win sooooo badly, just to shut not only the dolphins fans up, but all the ESPN trolls, Sully etc.. GO BILLS! SQUISH THE FISH!

    Amen brother, fish must die!!
