He'd better or he'll just be a marginal pick.
-
I'ld stay at 3 and get Dareus.
-
what makes you think he will be just another guy? The guy was the most dominant player, by far, in the biggest game of the year. Was the best defensive player in college footballs best conference. Dudes a beast. I'd take him over Dareus in a heartbeat. Wouldnt even consider taking another DL before him.
How many times to I have to say he DOESN'T STAND OUT. I am not saying he is a bum but he is not the best DT/DE out there. When I have watched him was neutralized by one guy for the most part and when he made plays the offense messed up and left him totally unblocked. If we get him I will be disappointed but will hope he dominates for us but I just don't see it, kinda like Stroud since he has been with us.

Good, Carolina can have him.

Doesn't have the confidence to be a head coach, he was in over his head here and he knew it , so he bailed, thank God.

Ran into Sam Gash a few years back at a convention. He went under the radar because most people there weren't football fans but he saw that I recognized him but clearly didn't want to talk, oh well maybe next time.

Just heard on the radio it's official. Still looking for confirmation.
But assuming it's true, that probably means Fairley will be his #1 pick. Just a hunch. Bummer.
good, now if Broncos get bowers we'll be all set.

I think we should sit and draft Dareus, but wouldn't be opposed to trading back as long as we get some DL talent, Heyward ,Paea,Kerrigan.

Very interested in Moch, Hurd, Austin ,and Cliff Matthews.

Very cool, but why did two candidates( former Bills HCs) withdraw their interviews? I'm not buying that need to prepare my team for the playoff stuff, you have a shot at head coach you take it period.

I knew this reaction was coming as I saw the highlights on NFL Network, and thought "Ohh great, here we go with the Marshawn is awesome, and Nix/gailey are stupid" threads. I am not going to judge him or any other player on one game, or one season, let alone one run. Yes, the run was amazing, and since he is so slow and indecisive, every guy on defense had a crack at him, and maybe even a few more than once. I will say that on film it looked impressive, and he looked strong indeed, but my point here is that he has proven time and time again that he is not capable of doing that all the time, or even for games at a time. I will be the very last person on earth to miss him, simply due to the fact I never saw him as an elite back, and unless this marvelous run has converted him from now forward into an elite player, I don't see what the fuss is. I still believe the Bills did the right thing. The guy wanted out anyway. In case anyone has been paying attention, his stats have been average at best since the trade.
Agreed, shoulda got that 3rd though

Guy's a TE.

God knows I have no love at all for the Jets and that carries over to Rex Ryan, but I thought he did an interesting thing yesterday. He came out with the "It's me against Billy B and it's personal" speech to the media. While at first glace it looks real stupid and Belichick responded appropriately, I think he's being smart. He is pulling that media attention to himself and not to his team. He's letting the team get ready without the press going after them. He takes the heat instead of his players. I am willing to bet he also told his team to shut-up this week and let me take the heat. That remains to be seen.
He may not be quite a dumb as I've given him credit for. Just a thought.
Never looked at that way. I was getting tired of his bravado even though I have liked before. To me he really showed his intelligence by hardly blitzing Manning, I thought he would just try to blitz because that's what they do.

This wasnt to bash him, but to be honest about what he is versus what he isnt. I love his passion, guts, and grit and he is light years better than Trent ever was...but that doesnt change that he just isnt that accurate and not nearly accurate enough to be a consistently succesful starter in this league.
-
Regardless of whether or not Lynch is special...he isn't in my opinion. Can you imagine the scenario that could shape up this weekend? If both lower NFC seeds win their games, the Seaturkeys will host the NFC Championship game. Unbelievable.
-
So basically, you only want to hear people agree with your opinion.
No every one is entitled to their opinion, but I am not just going go with what the talking heads say. I have seen too many guys that were not going to "make it" according to the pros but I knew could play, Like Kyle Williams, Jones- Drew, Kelly Greg, Tebow off the top of my head.
Acho is a beast, and i've been following him for a while now, and the reason why he won't come out before the 3rd round is b/c he's such a raw product. Depending on his combine, he'll probably go in the high to mid 3rd round.
Thank you, If he is there in the third we are stupid not to take him.

with all these rumors that the saints would have given us a 3rd, i think people are forgetting we also had a 2nd conditional pick. I would take a 4th and 6th all day instead of a 3rd. As well all know from #1 all the way to Mr. Irrelevant, for pick is guaranteed to be a stud. So having 2 chances is better then 1.
Forgot about the second pick so hopefully they loose this week and Beast runs for 500

With Buddy in charge I am very pessimistic on the future of the bills. We are keeping an incompetent def coordinator and likely losing Whitner and Poz. Our defense will again be in the bottom of the league. We will keep Kelsay and Kyle Williams, but play them out of there natural positions. I expect another mediocre draft and no impact free agent signings. The good news is we may be picking high enough to get Luck and hopefully Buddy will get fired and a competent GM will be brought in.
We shall see, if he messes up this draft I'll be off board. the Spiller pick was/is terrible and better do it right this time or he will retiring and we will get Luck. Either way it will be good.
-
all picks are a crapshoot. All these GMs way over-analyze players, all you need to know is does the guy make plays and does he love the game. All this height, weight, speed, whatever is secondary and should only be used to decide over guys who are the same.
-
No thanks, seems like a nice guy but never felt like he was a good coach.
-
His leadership wont mean as much when he is playing TE or wildcat in the NFL.
-
I don't know anything about Acho, but I don't know how you can say that about Fairley. I thought he looked quick, powerful and mean. He's the #1 overall pick right now for a reason.
I have watched Fairly four times this year and he does not impress me, I don't care what the experts say I go by what I see on the field and he is not a superstar.
For those who weren't impressed by the Nebraska Film I don't know what you are looking for but you want more than just a pass rusher you need a run stuffer too and he has that in spades. They way he constantly drove guys off the ball was impressive and at 260 is friggin Amazing. He can definitely rush the passer and play OLB so he is what we need.
