  1. He's 6'5 - 270 and holds the record at UNC with a power clean lift of 374lbs, but just because he's ALSO fast (broke Julius Pepper's lineman record in the 40 with 4.38) he's obviously just like "somebody we already have"?

He is nothing like Maybin, besides being bigger he was more than a ten game starter. Bottom line this kid rocks and would be the overall #1 choice if not suspended and we should draft him.

  2. What if we offer them more money than anyone else? I mean we do have the cap room to pull it off

Yes 20 mill under according to the Buffalo news but Ralf is cheap and won't go after these guys. We could have just drafted him in the first place but we needed Dante ;) , imagine we could have had Ngata, Oher, Clay Matthews and Bulaga. Tell me we aren't contenders with those guys.

  3. I think it's fair to say that Wade hates Ralph Wilson, who tried to not pay him the balance of his contract. so, no way.

Focus on John Fox, who should be available.

 Fox would be great although not a 34 guy, I was hoping for Rob Ryan but if Cleveland keeps it up he won't be going anywhere (thanks for smacking the pats around, Peyton Hillis rules)Vic Fangio from Stanford would be a huge upgrade at DQ, that guy calls some pretty slick blitzes, reminds me of a combination of the Pats and Ravens 34.

  4. Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea on who some of the top 3-4 draft prospects that may be available next year in the draft. I know everyone is thinking QB with our first pick and I'd be fine with that. I'm just wondering who else the Bills may have their eye on next year. Any thoughts of who some of the top prospects may be?

Robert quinn is the top OLB http://www.drafttek.com/PositionalOLB34.asp

    Jerrell powe NT http://www.drafttek.com/PositionalDT34.asp

    Adrian Clayborn DE http://www.drafttek.com/PositionalDE34.asp

  5. I didn't see McCoy today or all season for that matter but he stunk in college and had a great team at Texas surrounding him. Every time I watched him play I was like no thank you and would have flipped if we drafted him (like I did when we drafted Spiller). We definitely need to make Better draft picks, I like nix but I think they picked too many small school guys who also had to change positions. I'm all for the small school steal but not half your draft, it is just too much hope and work to get them all to be good.

  6. Just read article at buffalobills.com where Fitz said:

“Great play call by Chan,” said Ryan Fitzpatrick of the interception play. “We wanted to get the ball down the field. Obviously it was a little bit short. And that was the difference in the game. That play right there was the one that I don’t know if it would’ve iced it or not, but I would’ve liked to hit that to Stevie. It’s unfortunate for the guys. They played hard.”

“We’d been setting it up the whole ball game. They had been biting and biting and coming closer and we had set it up and had the opportunity and just didn’t make the play. I didn’t want to go conservative there. I wasn’t going to do that. Our guys worked too hard and we had a chance to hit the big play. We just couldn’t make the play.”

I am all for being agressive and I think Fitz is great at it but sometimes you have to know when to dial it back a little. We had the lead we just needed to get a first down or positive play not a touchdown on that play. Hopefully Fitz use his great smarts and translates it into wisdom, you can't go 100mph all the time or you will eventually end up in the ditch.

  7. In addition to Kelsay, don't forget about the $9 million being sent to Lee Evans every year.

Lee has been overated for a long time,he always drops the easy 3rd down conversion and just catches the deep ball, Maybe time for a trade to say Minesota. They need a Deep threat since Randy is gone and then in 3 weeks claim him off waivers. Seriously though we should trade him to get more picks because we need all we can get.

  8. I contend if Lindell's PAT was never blocked... The Bears would have went for the tie and NOT the two-point conversion... My co-worker (Bears' fan:sick: ) thinks Lovie would have still went for two.

That is... Rian makes the PAT, BFLO goes for the PAT instead of the missed two-pointer on the next TD... Then when the Bears score their third TD... They would go for the tie.

What coach would NOT go for the tie? Lovie?

Obviously, this shows how critical that blocked PAT was to the game. Possibly, this would have been the Bills' third OT game in a row! 321 times in a row... What a sucky time to miss and it effects the game's course. :wallbash:

Obviously that guy is an idiot.

  9. What i find interesting is that we would even blame Fitz (and I am hearing it on the radio and here) for this loss.

Would people rather that the bills had stuck with Trent Edwards and his 5 yard passes and hopefully get a field goal?

    - Fitz actually takes shots at the end zone.....he tries to WIN

    - He throws the ball into tight spots

    - When you throw the ball into tight spots sometimes it gets pick

    - This is why he needs a Tight End safety valve.....Tight Ends tend to come up with balls in traffic better.

We can win with Fitz....he is respected in the locker room and is a good fit for Gailey's offense. If we could run the ball OR if we could have created turnovers we win this game.

We get NO pressure on opposing QB's....I mean ZERO that is why we lose. That and we have maybe ONE NFL caliber linebacker (and maybe two now with Merriman)

We should have drafted Gronkowski @2 instead of Troupe, which would have given us a great talent and a local guy plus stolen him one pick ahead of the pats :nana:

Definitely need a pass rusher and Robert Quinn could be had if we trade back and then use the extra pick to trade back into the first to get LOT Anthony Castonzo from Boston College.

  10. I agree Ice. I don't understand all the love for Gailey. I see an 0-8 record with pretty much the same team for the last 3 years. Gailey along with Edwards are in over there heads. I know I will get bashed for saying this, but 0-8 speaks for itself.

Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 his first year, it takes time. When Gailey got here they were changing the whole defense around Dickie J could use the same guys in his D without any drop off, Gailey can't. They have made obvious improvements the last 3 weeks and it won't be long before our first win. We won't win much this year but down the road we will be a championship team.

  11. Fitz is not the problem it's our running game. I don't know what's wrong with fred and spiller but these guys need to quit dancing around and hit the whole. Maybe the coaches lit into spiller at the end because his last few runs were hard chargin no srewin around. Fitz first int was bad but if the coaches had any confidence in the running game he wouldn't have to throw all the time. No QB can throw that much without a few bad plays which unfortunately Kill us every week. Fitz is great but he can't carry the team on his own.
