  1. Sessions should resign now, former attny gen in his state as well as Senator he should know better.

He lied now he gotta resign.

Or consider the alternative scenario in the current witch hunt environment

Do you for a second think that if he answered the question in the manner that you prescribe there would be no noise?

Of course not. The narrative would be spun as "Sessions is lying that his conversations with Russians did not involve the campaign."

Sure their would be noise... problem is he lied... no can do..., Noise is one thing, so what, but lying to FBI whole nother kettle of fish...

Hes been in DC too long, called DENIAL... Dont Even Know I Am Lying..,

  2. [This is an automated response.]

    You're an idiot.

Created by DC Tom-bot, beta version 0.2.

I feel so warm inside now :)

No, seriously... What terrible things are going to happen under a Trump Presidency? Or do you mean things that you disagree with politically?

Gotta think you need to bone up on your ruskie.

And learn how to genuflect to Putin and his lap dog Trump.

  3. I attacked a Nazi. Do you really want to defend him?

Hillary was an atrocious arrogant candidate who made no move to connect to the working class. Ding ding the witch is dead. I can't stand her. So who's crying? You can separate criticism of Trump from love of Hillary.

Dear Hillary, Please go away. Or just go do good work. Become Jimmy Carter and build a better world but the hell away from politics.

I wonder if she overuses emoticons.

Agreedd and no the Trump lapdogs cant differentiate. HRC was a horrible candidate. Trump is a horrible human and god help our country the next four years.
  4. You probably have to repeal the damn thing as the process of modifying 2000 pages of this cluster !@#$ and hoping it makes any sense is probably greater than starting over and including the few good aspects of the monstrosity.

Which is easy to do if you have and pass simultaneously a replacement that makes sense and covers all those who want health insurance. If we end up with worse coverage, non coverage or unaffordable coverage under proposed changes then it will be a huge cluster. ACA brought much more people into the system and now they have expectations of coverage. Denial won't work this time around and you think the protests are bad now. Single payer could result in 2 years as a reaction to such a repeal. Agreed ACA has plenty of problems, but it isn't the biggest problem. Dealing effectively with insurance cos that have everyone by the cahoonas and by demands from the public for healthcare coverage for everyone as "right" is a huge undertaking.

  5. Hillary was a terrible candidate with probably the most baggage of any candidate that ever won a major party nomination. She had poor policy positions on most issues, was surrounded by evidence of dishonesty and corruption, had no meaningful accomplishments in elected office and is not likeable.

Any number of the other Republican candidates would have mopped the floor with her IMO.

Oh I disagree on the corruption stuff, but she was successfully painted that way and never effectively countered it. The rumor and innuendo campaign was successful and again, she was a bad candidate that I'll agree on because she was a bad campaigner.

Her policy positions were ok, but scattered, no unifying theme and no message for everyone. She less polarizing than Trump, but she misunderstood again the depth of the economic angst out there especially in the midwest. Trump figured this out in the campaign, not so sure the Indiana bailout will be a long term success 1,0000 job loss is still a 1000 job loss even if it cost 7million to keep another 1000 for how long?. The rest of the Republican field was too ideological imo in someways the same as HRC. She never pivoted effectively from going up against Bernie and just wasn't a good public speaker. Again her economic message or philosophy was not coherent, except to help out women and minorities? Leaving out men by insinuation, which is why she lost the midwest.

  6. Correct, allegedly. You could argue the idea that Russian government had zero to do with it as the conspiring media and dem leaders were all heard pushing the russian hacker story within hours or less of each other which supports the DC Tom theory that the AP or some other "source" put that crap out there and they all just ran with it. A lazy convenient excuse.

Yeh it all hurt HRC, but in reality her lack of economic message to the midwest killed her. Also, they never came back with anymore dirt on Trump after the fingering issue. Another dropped ball... Blame campaign staff for all of this... whether you believe him or not... in the midwest it was the economy stupid again.

  7. No there is a recipe for a disaster... a high risk pool for preexisting conditions funding thru a medical savings acct... Gonna drive people broke. Medical Savings accts don't work except peripherally and unless you have a one stop shop its gonna make things even more complicated. Folks are just going to come to the ER without insurance in larger numbers then the currently do and all these doc in a box clinics are going to go away because no one has insurance.

I am all for free market prinicipals... this would be a give away to insurance companies by allowing them to cherry pick clients, weed out underperformers and users of health insurance when they need it.

I still think the Crop Insurance Model works the best... Mandate coverage and subsidize the high risk pools for both insurance cos and payers and allow insurance cos to keep premiums of low risk pools and split the middle risk pools premiums between Feds and Insurance cos... do it actuarial based, but subsidies should be asset/income based.

  8. I thinks there's something to the use of marijuana to deal with the pain of cancer. While marijuana is not an analgesic itself, it is anxiolytic, which can help ease the psychological stress of pain. There are some articles out there about THC receptors not only being present in the central nervous system, but also on white blood cells, where they *may* modulate immune function.

But, at this point in time, I just don't see any legitimate gastroenterologist urging their patient to smoke marijuana, especially when they know it's going to lead to an automatic suspension. A good doctor would search for appropriate alternatives. Although different, smoking tobacco can really worsen a patient's Crohn's. While marijuana is not tobacco, the point is smoking marijuana could even be harmful for Crohn's, we just don't know and need much more data before labeling it "beneficial".

Thanks for your input Doc. I work as an X-Ray, CT Tech and see a lot of folks judging others before they know anything about their diseases....

My mother dealt with post-polio syndrome by using vodka maintenance rather than take Valium... not saying it was the great that she was a maintenance drinker... but given the medical alternative at the time... it was better that what was available....

Look at all the OXY addicts out there and tell me that the prescriptions given out are appropriate.... Medical industry is just as full of it.

I just got pissed when I saw all the judgmentalism being used by know nothings.

  9. Smoking marijuana is simply not the standard of care for this disease. Even though you provide links, they still only state 1 trial including only 11 patients. People want to call it a success, they did not meet their primary end-point of the study (which was inducing remission) was not met. And this was why it was publish in an obscure journal.

There's still years to go before claiming there's a significant clinical benefit, but to say he did it at the urging of his doctor is pure horse ****.

I am a physician and have lived with Crohn's since I was 15, including have had a total colectomy. This argument of marijuana being beneficial for Crohn's is anecdotal at best. Frankly, I think he's full of ****.

And that is what I needed, a little more evidence and authority than the haters. I have friends that dealt with Cancer and MJ helped them cope while they went through treatment. So I wasn't going to dismiss it unilaterally because some internet trolls were judging. That being said, if you have, and state that he could deal with another it way, and the rules are what they are, and he has options, then that is on him and the Bills should deal with him accordingly.

  10. ITS NOT HIS MEDICAL CONDITION. He's a knucklehead. Period. But you know what? Believe what you want.

Oh ok are you a Doc, do you know anyone who has dealt with Crohn's... ?

Get off your high horse unless you know the guy personally... easy to be a chat room hater who knows nothing about medical conditions.

The guy could also be pushing the NFL and setting it up for a lawsuit... I am not going to judge this deal till I know a whole lot more about his medical condition and the severity of it... and his view on MJ and the league policy. You got me on this whole deal.... Again, he could just be a stoner on top of the medical condition, not ruling it out. But there isn't enough information out there and judging him on this with all the vitriol and hate is beyond the pale. You guys are sound too much like Trumpers, judging before you know anything... BS

  11.

I like that they pointed out with a figurative *ahem* that he had a doctors appointment.....on Thanksgiving.

For all the people feeling bad for this guy he has pissed dirty probably a dozen times going back to college.

He's just a typical unaccountable character from his Bill Clinton-esque "there is none of that" denial to his "I feel hurt cuz Rex didn't call ME" nonsense.

Are you a Doc... Really Badol cut it out especially when you don't know what you are talking about.

Seantral is a child. He is not a man. Fire him and move on. This is a man's game.

Again, why the hate... common, its a medical condition and we don't know how long he has been fighting it unless one of you is violating HIPPA rules...

Cut the crap... Dude probably does have to make a decision, that doesn't mean he hasn't tried to deal with a debilitating illness and still play...

As shown above, Legit relief come from MJ, just because you guys want to sit on your high horse and judge.

My problem with you two is that insults and hate are uncalled for, unless you have walked a day in his shoes zip it... You call yourselves human beings...

  12. The reactions to this election are getting so over-the-top stupid, it deserves its own thread.

My wife just had someone cancel a real estate closing for next week. The reason they gave? They don't want to live in DC with Trump.

    They forfeiting a $100,000 deposit because...Trump.

Yeh but this what you expect from Millenials... That and the vitriol online in so many formats from this campaign.... Usually you can ignore it in August... this year it was tough.... Also its been going for 2 years and folks just dont turn off that burner and cool down. Looks like Obama and Trump are trying but its gonna take a while and the right wing folks are gonna make it difficult for the left to consider it.
  13. My point is, she lost. You can stare at the numbers however you want, and try to feel better because Trump didn't really win so much as she lost...but she still lost.

That's it. You don't get a medal for second place here, though, y'know, I give the Dems time before they try to make that a law.

Again you dont fin read... not saying it but if your Repubs go rogue with Repub laws itll flip fast like it did in Clinton's first term. The above policy items in his first post are non starters. Plently items that many folks here except the extreme left could get on board with.... but you go with his agenda and see where it goes.
  14. Ps Dod and Medicare make up 88-92% of the Budget so cutting anything else wont do much....Limiting the growwth of all these things will including Colas but the elderly dont like that and some things are political suicide.

Why do you folks keep bringing up the total vote count? Do you genuinely feel like it carries any weight? If you do, then look at a map of what counties voted for Trump and what counties voted for Clinton. That map is so red, you'd think he won in a landslide.

None of it matters. Only one thing matters. In the words of Barack Obama, "You lost. We won."

Wipe your tears and go back to work.

Red yes but close and she underperformed because well she had her issues and he was a better campaigner. Her side except women, werent motivated... Kinda like one team lost but the other team didnt necessarily win convincingly... check out the voting Hx in the states she lost...

Get the other team properly coached up and it flips.

actually. Results showing trump had more. Soooo everything you just said is bull ****.

    Ah no wrong...http://www.cnn.com/election/results

So again folks here on right and left dont listen... There are many ways to accomplish your goals rather than shoving it down anothers throat. I wasnt happy with either choice and depending on the issue you could call me one or another side. Sick of the partisan crap and stupid statements.

  15. Not a thread about Federal offices or election victories.

Exclusively about state legislatures and amending the Constitution.

First off your an idiot about hard codifying... no such thing that has already been done. If you want to clarify the first and second ammendment to meet your right wing paranoia needs, than you would need 2/3 of states to ratify such amendments..... reread your constitution.

2nd yes since The Repubs control that much though Im not sure what the Governor situation nor the approval process of an amendment is in each state i suppose it could be close but such amendments are not fillibuster proof in the US Senate

So unreasonable tin hat changes are unlikely to happen. Reasonable agenda items can, but you assume Trump would support this sort of nonsense and even Senate Republicans.

HRC had more votes than Trump so the backlash imo would be swift at even the attempt which would take more than 2 years.. But go ahead and dream...

I could care less about Gay rights/marriage. My preferred solution is to get the government out of the marriage business completely.

As far as abortion goes, it's not a settled issue so long as a significant portion of the population believes it to be a murder of convenience.

On marriage I agree, but too many fees are collected and tax exemptions earned, since its about money not gonna happen, they are already dug in that pocket like a spring time dog tick.

    - A firm recodification of the freedoms or speech and religion, protecting them from assault from social justice warriors in the guise of some ill-conceived notion that equality should trump individual liberty.

    - An absolute affirmation that the second amendment intended the individual right to bear arms, and that that right clearly confirms the right to acquire and own ammunition.

    - The reassertion of States Rights

    - The prohibition of state sponsored universal health care or single payer

Unsure of last one? Why limit an experiment that may or may not work... Let it fall under its own weight.. Gonna happen anyway... BTW the later is an abridgement of your second idea.... sshhhh...

The second is the best. A Balanced Budget Amendment for the federal government.

That I could agree with as long as it includes the military.... Also would like the President to have a line item veto, term limits to 2 Senate terms and 4 House terms.
