  1. Ok, First I was one of the guys that called tonyjustbcuz on his remarks, so let me say thanks for listening. Now what is good about the Bills? All aspects of the staff coaching and conditioning are improved. Secondary is solid, if not top five in NFL in my opinon, when you look at starters and depth. D-line with Stroud, Williams, Edwards, Troup, Johnson, Kelsay will be much improved against the run. The reason is this group is not like Haysworth who doesn't want play NT because of his stat sheet. These guys are blue collar guys with good work ethics. LB - Mitchell, Poz, Davis, Maybin, Batten, Moats, Carrington, Harris and Coleman, this is way better depth then last year and with the 3-4, more plays going down hill should be expected. Special teams with Moorman and Lindell enough said, but add MeKelvin and Spiller over the top. QB - Chan will help with Trents mental game and if we can start the season with some key Divsional wins that may work wonders. This position is the biggest ? OL- With the experience of Wood, Levitrie, Hangartner, Green, we get better. I think Calloway might be a sleeper and Wang with the talent he has and his family background as it relates to work ethic, I am excited to find out. RB- Best in the league, if Spiller performs. even with Freddie getting close to 30 years old, he lead the league in total yardage, lets not forget that, even if his play falls off a little that's still good. WR/TE- looking forward to finally seeing Stevie Johnson gets some reps. Spiller should create match-up problems, because I don't think a LB can stay with him nor a your average safety, He will make our WR and TE better. I know the Colts game in the snow last year was a "No game" for the Colts. But I got to tell you the snow , two hundred yards rushing, the WR Td's it was a nice way to end the season, thats what I am hoping for, I little of that 2010. Regulators Mount UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Depending on the type offense, I think you have to have 6-7 wideouts on the roster, top three with three to four special teamer. And wasn't Donald Jones the guy they were high on because of his blocking? So I see it as: Evans Hardy Johnson Easley Jones Nelson Parrish or Roosevelt If Parish traded then Roosevelt, other wise Roosevelt to practice squad
  3. I want to take this opportunity, to make a comment about the tone of this reply, as this tone seems to be all to common all over this broad. Your point could have been made without the condescending tone. This is the typical condescending tone that starts the rock throwing on these threads. I, like everyone else here, use this forum to ask questions and convey opinions. With no claims other than being a fan for 35 plus years. I would love it if every one could reflect or at least re-read thier post before be so condescending. It comes across like one of my bitter, liberal, college professors of years gone by. If you can judge my abilities from one thread, why can I not make an opinion about some player from multiple articles and stats? Just wondering? As far as comments on spelling, gramar and type-o's, what's the point of that as well? If your trying to make people feel stupid do it somewhere else.
  4. I agree that we have improved coaching and were in alot of games last year and I am hoping for the best, however, the biggest hurdle is the schedule. I think with last years schdule we could have a wining season, with this years schedule well I just don't know. I hope I am pleasantly surprised.
  5. I think the Spiller has the ability to account for 40 to 50% of our yardage production be it Special teams or offense. Lynch is going to put himself on a short list out of town if he doesn't man -up and show -up
  6. According to NFLDraftscout.com this is where our draft class projected and where we drafted them: C.J. Spiller Projected 1st Rd, Drafted 1st Rd Troup Projected 2-3 Rd, Drafted 2 Rd (high second, but hard working true NT) Carrington Projected 2 Rd, Drafted 3rd Rd Easley Projected 3rd Rd, Drafted 4th Rd Wang Projected 3rd Rd, Drafted 5th Rd Batten Projected 6-7 Rd, Drafted 6th Rd Levi Brown Projected 4-5 Rd, Drafted 7th Rd Calloway Projected 6-7 Rd, Drafted 7th Rd So where is the reach and why were the Bills not credited for getting value at the picks? Every guy was projected to go at the pick or earlier. What if we would have drafted Levi Brown where he projected or Wang for that matter? Would they be saying (DraftNiks) we got "The Guy"? I think Troup, Spiller, Carrington are starters, Wang is mid to late year starter and Undrafted Antonio Coleman out plays Maybin. I think maybe we have and I also think that we drafted more then one of "The Guys" Thoughts?
  7. Here is my theory. The Bills like Tebow. He is lefthand thus his blind side is right tackle, thus no reason to take a left tackle. So we take Spiller at 9 (great pick). Looking for Tebow in the 2nd. Knowing we could get Cam Thomas DT in 3rd. Tebow is picked by Denver, so now the need for the left tackle is more important. We try to talk trade to the Rams to get thier 2nd round but they want Saffold, as well. So we try to get back in the first but no takers. We shift our Draft Brd at that point and take Troup (who is way better than Cam Thomas) and the rest is history. I was there eating my Beef on Wick and wings w/ a Genny Cream Ale, I think Chan said something to this affect. All I know was the food was really good. Hows that for a cooked up idea. Or maybe it was Dan Williams
  8. I am Auburn Alumi and have seen him play. He did most of his work against SEC left tackles. Reminds me of Kevin Greene. Graet FA pick.
  9. I looked up the rating of all the draft picks and our draft picks on CBS sports. Here is the way I see it: Projected Actual CJ Spiller 8th Rd 1 9th Rd 1 Torell Troup 66th Rd 2 41st Rd 2 Alex Carrington 60th Rd 2 73rd Rd 3 Marcus Easley 91st Rd 3 104th Rd 4 Ed Wang 97 th Rd 3 Rd 5 Arthur Moats Rd 5 Rd 6 Danny Patton ? Rd 6 Levi Brown Rd 4 - Rd 5 Rd 7 Alex Calloway Rd 6 Rd 7 If we were New England they would be saying how great we did by not reaching and gettting good players of need at the right value. Isn't that right Jamie Dukes!!!!!!!!!
  10. If you go to USA Today www.usatoday.com/sports/graphies/2010/nfl-draft/flash.htm it lists the top 500 players available as projected by NFLDraftscout.com When looking at the list I looked high about five guys and low about five guys. If this holds any kind of true we should have a great draft. #9 Trent Williams or Bulaga #41 Tebow, Terrance Cody, Saffold #72 Thaddeus Gibson, Eric Norwood, Ben Tate #107 Greg Hardy, Jorden Shipley #140 Joseph Linval, James Starks, 3rd and 4th Best Interior Linemen You get the picture. Sorry I don't know how to create direct link.
  11. The speed of the game is so much different. In college you may go against a pro prospect 4 times in a season or have one rusher to max protect against. In the pros you are going against the best every week and if you do not have a line, well captian check down number two and what good is that. I don't think Clausen is the save all end all. So I would draft OT and if top four are gone I go NT or pass rusher and get next best linemen in second round stay put or trading up to late first to get Saffold. See Option 2 below
  12. Being from the south like Buddy. Som-in aint right with the boy. I like Jake (Locker) a whole lot better next year. Once our big boys up front get some time under thier belts. Besides Jake's a good southern name.
  13. See below for the #4 pick and some folks are starting to get on the Locker band wagon. Go Bills
  14. If this is true, we should send it to Schobel. He could be a monster in the 3-4 and make the Pro Bowl and then retire.
  15. If Tebow makes it through the second round, I feel he will be there at our pick (would that be the 73rd ninth in round). If there at that point I would think about taking him, project or not his work ethic is over the top. If he can be strong mentally then he is half way there. Still like OT, NT, OSLB, OT as first four picks so if we could package Donte, and late round say one of our six round picks to get back in the third that's what I would do. I would take Tebow then our OSLB with the trade. If we don't trade I thinks its a tuff decision. Because we need so many holes filled now and QB is one that seems to take time and if we can get Locker next year how far behind does that really put us. A QB behind a line that has two second year and in all liklyhood two rookie OT's? Verses a Rookie QB behind two 3rd year and two second year guys?
  16. I am telling you if we get taylor, Lynnch is on his way to the Bolts.
  17. I like it. Still like my top five below. If anything I think everyone can agree at least on the order of position (OT, NT, etc.). I really don't think there si a top ten QB in draft. Bradford - Worry about inury, Clausen - leadership?
  18. Just Draft the best avialable OT, NT and LB in that order I,ll be happy
  19. To Draft or not to Draft a QB. In looking at teams that need or would want to improve the QB play no less than a 1/3 of the league falls in that area. Rams at 1 Bucs at 3 Skins at 4 Seahawks at 6 & 14 Browns at 7 Raiders at 8 BILLS at 9 Jags at 10 Cards? at 26 Vikings? at 30 Carolina in 2nd Rd This said I don't thinks you trade down to get the only two first round QB's and if they don't rate top ten then they are not Franchise QBs and I wouldn't waste the time. So draft the OT then the NT in second, maybe trade some later round picks ( 6th -7th) to move up into late first/earlier second that would require our current 2nd and 6th round. to work to get an OT and NT 1 -2.
  20. I have already talked to Chan and he said to go ahead and order the Beef on Wick and Genny Cream Ale for draft day, because we are set with the following: Trent at OB until next year when we go after Jack Locker out of Washington (cold weather and great arm) We are drafting: 1 rd Davis, Bulaga or Campbell (in that order, based on avialibility) 2rd Cam Thomas NT - N Car -6'-4", 331, 5.14 -40 3rd Sergio Kindle or Eric Norwood 4th Rodger Seiffold - OT - Ind- 6'-5" 300+, 5.13- 40 5th Ben Tate -RB - Auburn We need Tate because Chan is looking to get Lynch back to Cal, with trade to SD for a conditional 2 or 3rd next year, this is to help get the draft deal done for Locker next year. I hope this helps everyone.
  21. Here is what you have to ask your self. Is Campbell a better option with a 4th or 5th round plus Whitner? With 4th or 5th your giving up maybe Snead or Pike at best. If Washington Drafts a QB in 1st rd and then trades with us and we get a OT, NT, LB, Trade, OT or OT, Trade I would do it. I am an Auburn guy and Campbell has always been a class act.
  22. Heres is how we fix the holes via draft: Rd1 OT - Campbell, Davis or Bulaga Rd2 NT - Cam Thomas 6'-4" 331, 5.14 -40 Rd3 3-4 OSLB - Sergio Kindle or Eric Norwwod Rd4 OT - Rodger Seiffold - Ind - 6'-5" 5.13 -40 Rd 5 RB - Ben Tate - Auburn - Great back. Now I know what about QB, next year get the kid out of Washington Jack Locker -cold weather strong arm.
