  1. John Gruden on ESPN this morning went 1 on 1 with tebow, not only in the film room, but on the field. Said he has made tremendous improvements in a short period, and was "impressed" by him. Altho it was also after he criticized him in the film room. I hope we all get a chance to watch Gruden thursday night on ESPN at 7pm, bc he sits down with tebow, mccoy, clausen, bradford, and more Qb's i hope. Its enlightening to watch him disect them in the film room. Furthermore, if Gruden's a Tebow supporter, so am i. Go get him buddy
  2. i said dont hate me at the end of my thread, my god. and i dont have an allseeing eye, but i do, yano, think logically. too many teams need a QB before us. and if hes that good, which it sounds like, hes gone.
  3. seattle and cleveland have serious needs at a long term QB. so may oakland, bc russell is terrible and if they had even an average QB they might win 8 games or more and washington has mcnabb for one year, who knows if theyll want to give him another contract. these teams may have other needs, but QB is the most important position, as we know. lets just accept we will be choosing between B. Graham, Bulaga/Davis, & Dan Williams. Hopefully we go Tebow or lefevour in a later round and develop them. Dont hate me...
  4. jason campbell and marc bulger have thrown more td's than int's in a season. name a buffalo bills quarterback on the roster who has done that...
  5. So, Bulger is no real upgrade dolphan? How did u feel when u guys signed pennington? a guy who was injury prone but had some good winning seasons in the past....
  6. There has been talk on this board about aquiring jason campbell and marc bulger. How can we say we dont want these QB's? NEWSFLASH: getting peyton manning in the draft is nearly impossible. Getting a QB in the draft who will be a good pro is improbable. Here are two QB's who are NFL starting caliber QB's. Bulger has been injury prone, but hes better than what we have. Campbell hasn't been a winner, but hes better than what we have. Just look at theyre career stats. I would rather have Bulger bc hes a vet who has won more, and signing him and drafting an LT in round one could give us a chance at the playoffs next year, while we find a QB in next years draft or late in this one to develop. Please, Bills fans, open your eyes. Our QB's are not starters. These two are. Stop being picky. Stop being stupid. Lets get one of them, and improve the position.
  7. Considering Gailey's 'offensive' mind, and he will be calling his own plays, theres a certain, confidence, maybe even cockyness that comes with that decision to call ur own plays. I can see him saying "I can improve the offense just by myself". In saying that, I feel this draft will be all about defense. He and Nix wants to stack and improve the defense personel wise, bc they feel the offense will be better coaching wise (jaurons offensive mind was terrible). Maybe he even thinks he can turn trash to treasure with our crop of QB's. This is all my opinion, but i can see most of our picks being defense early. OLB, NT,DE, more LB's later...Maybe one LT in the top 4 picks... I kno Gailey said he wants a scatback, but those can be found in the later rounds...thoughts?
  8. Tebows not a huge risk. Most Qb's take 2-3 years to develop. so will tebow.
  9. bradford has a serious injury history, played in spread offense. Hes the best QB of a bad class...i smell alex smith on his breathe.
  10. i hope schobel decides by the draft. really hanging the bills out to dry here. Him being there or not next yr is a big deal on who we draft.
  11. Our D has a lot of working itself out to do
  12. Donte can start, but he doesnt have to play the whole game =)
  13. I love lefevour, 4 years of dominance, good enough arm, accurate, mobile, winner, best qb at senior bowl, played well in bad weather conditions (C. Mich) plus hes canadian, he will fill seats. hed be a GREAT pick in the 3rd round after we address our lines, id even be ok with him in the 2nd if gailey really loves him.
  14. with our biggest needs being Oline, Dline, QB, OLB and WR, we can't expect to pick up a potential playmaker at each spot. As of now, we only have three picks in the top 3 rounds. Two of those needs listed above won't be met with someone of significance. We have to be realistic and expect not all holes will be filled after the draft. But i will say, please Buddy, trade DOWN
  15. hed be a great pick as long as we addressed our other needs after. Im totally for stockpiling our defense and letting chan improve the offense simply with a real playbook thats not "pop warner". we dont really know wha kind of talent we have on offense bc our OC's constantly changed and jauron wasn't offensive minded
  16. a 4-4? its 8 men in the box out of a 4-3 defense, like wed play vs the fins. just a safety instead of a backer there ya go
  17. meredith=terrible but upside bell = bad but upside chambers = bad scott = bad hang = ok at best levitre = ok with upside wood = ok with upside the line is in shambles. I am looking forward to our defense next yr tho
  18. Tebow PROS: Very Strong Arm Proven Leader/Winner Mobile QB from a top college football school Tebow CONS: Did not play in Pro System Poor footwork mechanics inaccurate on shorter throws Tebow CONCLUSION: Drafted somewhere in round 2 or 3 on a team that will develop him and not start him right away, but has him in future plans If the Bills havent addressed QB in the first two rounds and hes there in round 3, id say hes the best QB left and we should take him, but not before that.
  19. what came first, the chicken or the egg? Do u need a good oline for the QB to be good? Or do u need a good qb for the qb to be good? Answer: YOU NEED BOTH IF U WANT TO BE A GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM! however, we need a QB first. if we plugged in the best QB in the league, compared to plugging in the best LT, Im willing to bet we do much better with the best QB in the league.
  20. Hasselbeck would be the best QB on the roster, u could draft a backup or develop brohm. great trade if we dont give up too much for a guy on a 1 yr contract
  21. the jury is still out on Bell. I think he can be good. The coaching staff saw something in Peters, and they were pretty right on him. bell also played MUCH better after the no huddle was scrapped. it just wasn't enough time bc he was hurt soon after. But most of his penalties were racked up during the no huddle 4 week era.
  22. McClain is the best ILB in the draft, and that position turns out regulars. There aren't many vernon gholston stories, they usually make an impact. That said, with the signing of Andra Davis plus Poz and Mitchell, drafting him at 9 over a DT or an LT is the wrong thing to do. I wanted McClain earlier, but we have more pressing needs.
  23. agreed the fact that good free agent players like edwards and davis signed here means they believe in the coaches and the organization. edwards has been apart of the winning formula, he wouldn't go to a team unless he saw the same type of formula. its not like we overpaid to get them here either, both had solid contracts, but not Dockery/L.Walker overpaid type contracts.
