  1. Amen...he does things the right way!
  2. I'm not for or against getting Tebow but you have to think if we do get him (for a 4th or lower) then with our QBs on our roster we most likely won't be getting a QB in this draft. I like a lot of the QBs in this draft (Tannehill, Osweiler, Wilson. I know Gailey could use Tebows skills to best help the team win but would we want Tebow as our backup over one of these guys?
  3. My link How tall is Wannstedt if Anderson is 6'4"...anyways i'm ok with the signing if it doesn't hurt are chances (cap/money wise) of resigning Byrd and Levitre
  4. Very good draft all around but 2 things I don't like...1st off I think Burfict may fall even past the 4th (still wouldn't mind him later though) and 2nd I do not want Kirkpatrick. He is not a good man to man CB besides height I dont like what he has to offer. I believe him being on the best Defense in college football made him look better than he actually was and if we're going CB at 10 I'd rather have Jenkins (who had similar off the field issues and seems changed). I think Jenkins a shut down corner (better than Haden at Florida) and would be great with our front 4 pressure.
  5. The ideal draft for me would be (especially if we get Bell back): 1. Luke Kuechly LB (He can play any 4-3 LB position) 2. Stephen Hill WR 3. Bobby Massie LT 4. Jake Bequette DE 4. Josh Norman CB and take a shot on Russell Wilson later on... If we don't get Bell back then I'm sure we'd take a LT in the 1st/2nd
  6. My link apparently these guys are pretty good
  7. My link Was this already posted? I'm ok with Tebow if he doesn't cost more than a 4th rounder and his money doesn't stop us from extending Byrd and Levitre
  8. Anyone know the details of the contract?
  9. Were talking about two really good to great players! Both are not in positions highly drafted Guard or Safety so if you're comparing Byrd's position to CB then you must in turn compare Levitre's position to OT...Also think about this if given the choice between a young in the prime of there career probowler Carl Nix/Jahri Evans or Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu. I'd take the Safety every time. Obviously if we were talking LT (Joe Thomas style) I'd take the lineman
  10. We better resign both but I'd take Byrd over almost anyone on our team. He has the potential to be the best FS in the league and has improved his all around game every year since his rookie season. I think he is going to have a great year (and career) with a good pass rush in front of him.
  11. Exactly why Jenkins should be rated higher (and hopefully is on Bills' board). I'm ok with a lot of players in the top 15 (no surprise Whitner pick either) going to us but a few I really do not want to see go to the Bills are Upshaw (great against run not an NFL pass rusher) , Kirkpatrick (not because they are from Alabama but because they're not good fits for our scheme and talents are overrated, I do like Hightower alot but not in the top 10), Richardson (no need), DT (Even though Poe's a beast), Adams (Seems a bit lazy not what you want in a LT). Obviously it would be great if Blackmon or Claiborne fell to us or we traded down for better value but if we stay at 10 we have to take BPA and if the OTs (Reiff, Martin, and Glenn, who i like alot) are not rated high enough for Nix then Kuechly (play any LB position) or Floyd are great value. From a talent and not need perspective, I'm even ok with Ingram, Tannehill, Decastro, Jenkins, Coples (our line could be a good fit for him to play hard), and maybe even long shot Hill
  12. Just saw a special on Kalil (NFL network). I know its unrealistic but it would be absolutely amazing if he fell a little and we traded up (without giving up too much) and got him. His dad played for the Bills and I bet he's a bills fan (even if he wont admit it)
  13. Exactly what i've been saying...Upshaw was a great college player on a great team but was not a good pass rusher (he can bullrush and thats about it). He's a good run stuffer but so is Kelsay ...not worth the pick. I really don't want a pass rusher at #10 (since we have Mario on LE and Kelsay/Merriman/Carrington for now on RE) but would rather have Ingram (who is a very athletic/good pass rusher) and to a lesser extent Coples (who could be great if put in the right situation) That being said I'd rather go BPA even if it means Kuechly (plays any LB position), Floyd, an OT (not sure who Nix would want but I like Glenn), or a CB (Claiborne won't fall to us and i'd rather have Jenkins then Kirkpatrick because he's a much better coverage corner and could become a shutdown corner in the NFL)...
  14. If we're going to take a player with earlier off the field issues that now seem resolved, lets take the better player in Jenkins (better than Haden when they were both at UF). He's the better CB if we're going this way...
  15. I don't thin Kirkpatrick is that great man to man...I would rather have Jenkins who was a shut down corner at UF, who some think (myself included) was better than Haden. If Nix feels he checks out now (with his off the field stuff) and wants a CB I would much rather have Jenkins over kirkpatrick. All that aside I say we go BPA in the first whether its Kuechly (can play any LB position in 4-3), Floyd or whomever...
  16. Where's the link?
  17. Exactly and Upshaw is the last player I want at #10. He's a product of the system he's in but when he gets to the NFL does not have good pass rushing ability and will only be good against the run...I think we can get a passrusher or 2 later to compliment Mario (we have Kelsay, Merriman, and Carrington for now). I'm ok with a lot of players at 10 but not Upshaw
  18. Here's a good article on what Tannehill offers and why if we did take him we would need to let Fitz know this is still his team but Tannehill could be the future (in a couple years) My link
  19. I'm totally fine with us drafting Tannehill as a current back up (contingency for if Fitz gets hurt) and eventual franchise QB. He looks to have all the qualities you want except a lot of game experience which is why he would work for a team that already has a QB in place (so he can be groomed)...He looks much better than all of the QBs that came out last year (besides Cam) Side note: I think if this is part of the plan we let Fitz know ahead of time that were not trying to replace him but have an eventual successor or legitimate back up in case things go wrong
  20. I've been thinking the same thing about Kuechly for a while now, he seems solid no matter what LB position he plays in a 4-3 and your right we need depth there and Wanny wants fast LBs too (4.5 is fast)
  21. I'll be honest I'm ok with US taking Tannehill...guy is an athlete with accuracy and a strong arm. He could develop and be a great backup behind Fitz for a couple years
  22. If we were going to stay with all of our picks and not trade up/down (and we don't get Bell back) heres 1 scenario I'd prefer in the draft: Rd 1 WR Michael Floyd (I'm ok with Hill as well if Nix is but would like to trade down for him)- Great compliment to SJ to stretch the field and get defenses to respect the pass more. Rd 2 OT Bobby Massie (don't think Glenn or Adams fall to us...Zebrie Sanders would work too) - Hard working/intelligent kid who plays well at LT but needs a little work Rd 3 CB Josh Norman (think this is BPA and don't think a good enough OLB will be there like Lavonte David...wouldn't mind Bentley) - Small school ball-hawking CB who plays great man to man Rd 4 LB Sean Spense (Bruce irvin would be great here but someone will take early because of speed...nigel bradham would work too) - Need depth at OLB Rd 4 DE Jack Bequette - (Chandler Jones is another good option) Hard working big DE who played in the SEC (which buddy loves) Rd 5 QB Russell Wilson - A QB that Chan can make work in his offense in case Fitz goes down Rd 5 LB Vontaze Burfict - Why not take a chance on a guy who could end up being a steal I think our locker room is filled with good guys (plus Barnett is working with him) The ultimate scenario would be for us to take Martin/Reiff at 10 and have Stephen Hill fall to us in the 2nd but the more likely scenario is above if we're playing it safe
  23. Thanks! Does that mean if they don't resign with another club they have to play with us?
