  1. An arron Maybin sighting...what do you know.
  2. today we get knocked back into reality. We are just a below average team with not enough talent to hang with the big dogs. I mean we get a turnover that gets wiped out by a penalty...only in Buffalo. That was a sign.
  3. I wouldn't doubt it. I always thought the Patriots played dirty under Bill. They have no respect for anyone or any team in the NFL. I really can't stand to watch them ever since they got caught cheating. Once a cheater always a cheater. Now everytime they are on TV and I am watching them I can't help but wonder how they are cheating now....
  4. I have to ask this question "Do you even watch the Bills?" A NT and a QB are not considered areas of need, I will even go out on a limb and say OT is not a critical area of need anymore, we can get one of those in the later round. We really need LB's and a TE but there is no way we trade Spiller and rely on a 30 something year old back for our future....
  5. First off who are you to trust. I say we build around Fitz and move on. If he was going to have a sophmore slump this would be it cause he started so much last year. The reason why he didn't start from the get go is because we had to give Trent one more chance and thank God we cut ties with him early. I was a Trent supporter and thought we had more upside with him, but I was way wrong....Fitz is the man. I say work on other holes on our team. We have some big ones on D but not so much on the Offense. Don't get me wrong we could use a TE like we use to (i.e. Jay, Pete), and a bonified RT we have a couple solid backups in my book, but they are holding there own so not a major probem. No QB's this year...we wont be picking in the top 5, there are much worse teams then us let's face it. We don't have superstars but we play damn good as a TEAM. Plus confidence is shallow and we can't break Fitz's with another QB controversy...
  6. Let's face it guys and girls, Nix is our GM, Gaily is our coach, Fitz is our QB, and Bell is our LT. With that said and what I have seen so far this year we have the right guys in place and the organization is turning the corner right before our eyes. I said those names because a lot of people questioned all of the above in there ability, know how, and mental toughness to get this job done. I think RW got this one right up top, and the top two (Nix and Gaily) got the bottom two right (Fitz and Bell). So I say have faith in the team and the team will reward you. I am so looking forward to keep watching this team grow as the season goes on. There is no quite in anyone on this team that plays on the field every week. I say plays on the field cause I haven't seen or heard about Maybin for a while. Now with our first round pick we can draft the best DE or LB available in the first 2 rounds maybe a TE (we could use a solid one in the red zone still) and not worry about a tackle until the 3rd or 4th to play RT, I am even happy with those guys right now and we haven't even seen Wang yet and Urbik filled in real nice for Wood today....
  7. The Bills aren't going to lose out....they are going to win 3 or 4 more games maybe even finish 8-8 wouldn't that be something. I don't want the number 1 pick never did cause if we did RW wouldn't pay him anyway then we would just have a hold out waiting to happen.
  8. I don't know about the rest of you guys but this forward progress stuff really ticks me off ever since that Baltimore game. I don't really think the refs know what forward progress is and how to apply it. Like what just happened to the Bills, there was only 5 seconds left and the guy was stopped at 3 seconds there was no whistle and he was still fighting for yards through the half, then they give him back one second to kick a field goal what kind of crap is that. And earlier in the game when the running back for the Bengals was inside the five fighting for yards fumbles the ball right into the refs hands and the play was called dead....I think he knows it was a fumble he just didn't want to get killed. I know the Bills are frusturated with this stuff and I wish someone would ask Coach how he feels about it. It's crap...I think if the guy's forward progress is stopped and he is still fighting for yards and is at least still leaning forward it should still be a live play unless you are at a stand still for 3 seconds, if the player's forward progress is stopped and he is falling backward (like when you can get your balance and your natural reaction keeps you up by back peddling) then they should blow the play dead....thoughts. I still think we are in this game if we can come out and get a TD to open the half and then stop Cinny on there first possession...thoughts.
  9. dehaven needs to be fired and we need a new kicker....
  10. you know if you cut and paste your thread to word before you post it you probably won’t sound like a third grader: " better year or more valuable to their or even more,” "never get passed the pooch thing"
  11. They use to say "the Bills will lose until the O-line gets better," now its this. Our D has been playing better, I can't say they have been keeping us in games, but they have been making them watchable not giving up a ton of points giving us a chance. This weekend the Defense was the only reason we were in the game IMO, our offense aside from Jackson was not very good. Fitz got rushed alot in the beginning but then our line settled down and gave him time and he was not very accurate either. If Evans didn't make a nice catch he would have had an Edwards type of day. I like the fact everyone is saying get a QB but the more I watch the college games and look at Luck and Mallet, I say if we have the first pick, trade down get a later first round pick and some thirds or seconds for it, take a defensive stud in the first round, get some O-line/D-line help in the second or third, and you can get a decent project QB for 2011 maybe even Johnson from (A&M) yes i know he got benched but this kid if you see him has an NFL arm and body, he does need some coaching though and Chan might be good for him, we also have Locker who is falling, and the kid out of Iowa Ricky Stanzi I like this kid in the late rounds also....
  12. I think our D is coming along pretty well. They made some plays today and some stops, but people tend to forget that we are not playing ourselves we are playing against professional football teams that are planning to bet us. Our guys seem to be getting more comfortable and taking more chances. We left a couple of sacks on the field (one guarantee)both from Whitner, why he goes airborne twice i don't know, but that second on if he would have stayed on the ground would have been a sack. I did not like his play calling at the end, I am talking about the two 4th down conversions that the Lions converted in the final drive, why didn't we blitz and put some pressure on the QB. We rushed 3 and dropped 8 both times and we all know if the QB has time to assess the field someone is going to get open. I would have like to see some blitz packages and stuff. Like Fatty Ryan says blitz blitz blitz....
  13. What is up with our special teams...Holding X 2 and another missed field goal....Dehaven should be fired at least under April it was pretty much a gaurentee something good would come our of special teams every game now it's like what are they going to F&*K up today??
  14. I for one think this game is boring...at least when we throw the ball the games are watchable and I am not talking about all the long passes we are throwing today just nice 5-7 yarders with an occasional run and deep pass that is when our offense really looks like an offense.
  15. I just got somehting to say about that fumble...Jackson clearly landed on it before the pile came around him and the fight began i reround it on my DVR and saw that...How many times have you seen a play like that and the ref comes in before the fight begins and they give the ball to the offensive team..why didn't that happen just now..no instead they let them fight and give the ball to the lions...Why???
  16. sad we have two int's this year one by a DE and one by a LB, and Reed had two in one quarter against us a month ago....
  17. During the first quarter doesn't it feel like we are jinxed today..I mean the announcer says the Bills have been the best on third downs in the NFL the last 3 week with 57% then we get sacked, then the Bills are the only team in the NFL that have scored on every possesion inside the red zone, then we go for it on 4th and inches and get stuffed at the 13...we are doomed.
  18. Not sold on Fitzpatrick quite yet, but there is still time. Well 90% of Bills fans are. I used to be a big time Edwards supporter but he just doesn't have "IT". Fitz seems to have "IT" and is still young enough to build around. That guy has BALLS and is willing to throw the ball anywhere that is why I like him. He always seems to go for the knock out punch and unfortunately he is falling short right now but his time will come. His play reminds me of Farve without the arm but more brains. I also think if we do draft a QB next year in the draft early it will be like San Diego a couple years ago with Brees doing real well, get Rivers in the draft, and look at Brees now. We are good where we are at with our QB and good 2nd or 3rd rounder would be good to backup we need a pass rusher or a tackle.
  19. It was stupid for me to compare our last two coaches to Levy but I was just trying to make a point that it takes time to turn things around and Levy jumped in the middle of the process with many pieces already in place where as Gaily is starting from scratch. As far as the last draft class goes, I don’t have a problem with it. Spiller is electric, Troupe is starting to hold his own, Moats is starting to contribute, and Cordaro is playing well even though they didn’t draft him he is still a rookie. The problem is fans expect these rookies to come right in to the league playing at the same level they were playing in college and a few players can do that, but that is only a hand full. Spiller could be more explosive if we got him the ball more in open space. I think he should take over the slot and we should use him more like the Vikes use Harvin (JMO).
  20. I see many of you compare Jauron and Gaily as far as coaching styles and of course there win/loss records. And many of you believe we were better off with Jauron at the helm instead of Gaily, probably because with Jauron we were in every game and he did finish with 7-9 records 3 years in a row. With the 7-9 records I think that was all we were going to get out of Jauron and nothing more. But I for one believe Gaily is a way better coach then Jauron ever could have been. Yes I know we haven’t won a game yet and we are a long way from making any noise in the division much less the playoffs. When Marv Leavy started out with the Bills mid season in 1986 and finished with a 2-5 record the next year was 7-8 then 9-7 (1st in the East) then they started there dominance of the late 80’s early 90’s. Leavy also had many of the pieces already in place to the puzzle Reed, Kelly (already drafted but playing with Houston Gamblers but technically on roster), Smith, the only one missing was Thurman Thomas. I believe Gaily and Nix have a plan, I use to think that was just all talk, but they have stood there ground with many of there decisions which to me means they know what they are doing. It takes time to get players and we have to give them that. The thing with Gaily is he has this team playing better ever week and I see a lot of upside with this team. Making some noise in the East next year and a serious run for the East in 2 years making the playoffs, and then making some serious noise in the playoffs in 3 years. Just stick with this team and have faith. I am sorry I forgot a 12-4 year in there for Levy, it was 2-5, 7-9, 12-4, 9-7,
  21. As I watched the Bills game today I played close attention to the "IT" factor. Some teams have "IT" and some teams don't. Take for instence the New England Patriots, I hate the Patriots with a passion, but facts are facts they have the "IT" factor. Now I know they lost today, but did you see that catch by Hernandez and the way the ball bounced right off the defender and right into his hands. That would have never happened with the Bills. No the ball appears to be going out of bounds and you can't blame Parrish for clearing everyone out, and the ball hits inches from the chalk and kicks back inbounds hits a Bears player in the jersey (although ever so slightly, but replays show it did hit him) and the ball lands at the one foot line. The thing that was more upsetting on that play was they viewed in and still didn't overturn it. And we all know there is holding on every play in the NFL, but come on man when the hold is clear across the field and in no way shape or form had anything to do with the outcome of the play are you kidding me. That is how the Bears got there first TD today. The Bills held them on a third and long the offensive guy ran right into the Bills defender the Bills defender tryed to hold himself up and not fall over and held onto the guys jersey clear across the field where the play was nowhere near, and they flagged him. I think the head referee should talk it over with the other refs to see if it really mattered and effected the play or not before jumping the gun. Bottom line is, the Bills need to find "IT" and see where "IT" takes them. There that is my peace. Take it for what it is worth.
  22. It was just made official....the Bills are definatly cursed...Lindel missed an extra point.
