SB 27.  We lost 52-17.  Didn't bother getting off the bus in our third straight SB appearance.  But yeah, losing to the chiefs is worse and we're doomed because...

This game reminds me of the Bills/Browns divisional playoff game in ‘89.  Back and forth, Bills lose at the end.   But they were talented and next year Super Bowl XXV.   Bills can add some elements but they are in great shape to make another run.

I think Buffalonians don't know what's out there. They just settle for average.

Adding to this: The only people I know that are into those "side dishes" as you call them, are not sports fans. They weren't sports fans growing up and have only become "sports fans" for social reasons, such as fantasy and gambling as you mentioned.

You might have hit the nail on the head. He doesn't actually love sports. How else could you have a dream job where all you do all day is talk sports, and you're so miserable? You'd be miserable if you hated sports, and you hated the city.

I don’t think he hates the city at all, but I do believe he’s bored by what die-hard sports fans are interested in so he gets frustrated.  He needs a different platform; a podcast would probably serve him better or a change to a public radio station where he can talk about sports lifestyles, etc. or his other interests in general.

Mike Schoop just doesn’t like Allen he actually had a list of 10 QBS awhile back he’d take over Josh and the list was laughable.
A couple years ago he literally had to be told by WGR management hey it’s ok to be critical but you’re getting ridiculous and literally attacking fans who disagree with you cut it out or your out.

Dude wakes up everyday hating the team he covers so take him with a grain of salt.

I don’t know if he likes sports in general not just the Bills; not in the way a majority of fans do anyway.  He seems more into the side dishes of the games:  the analytics, fantasy sports, gaming and gambling aspects.  I’m just clicking in for the main course.  Matchup breakdowns, player news, etc. about the game/games.

Buffalo, it seems, doesn’t have a true sports radio station which is weird AF considering it’s a sports town.  I’m talking a station where any sport can be credibly discussed.  Any news on the MLB lockout?  The Lakers implosion?  Or dozens of national sports stories.  There would still be plenty of Bills/Sabres talk, but less filler.

Maybe Buffalonians are satisfied with what they get.🤷🏾‍♂️

Statistically we despareatly need home field advantage and #1 seed. Each game in regular season matters indeed.

I understand the sentiment and agree that each game matters in regular season.  Home field would be great to have.  But eventually, they’re going to need to win on the road.

If they make the playoffs next season and have to play on the road I’d still be confident they would win.

Speed alone does not get it done. Marquise Goodwin had one of the NFL’s fastest 40 times but his durability was questionable during his Buffalo Bills time. As Beane said in his press conference, “track stars are not necessarily football players.”

Tyreek Hill is a matchup challenge but it is not due to speed alone.

Also remember that the Bills have Marquez Stevens 100 percentile three cone drill on the roster. He does not have the 40 of Tyreek  but he has speed and shiftiness that is combined considered other worldly.

You have to wonder if the Bills have on their roster already or will identify a matchup nightmare in this year’s draft.

Yeah, they have Stevenson.  Develop him and still get more players with that speed trait.

I think this is the most likely. They’ll approach him about a restructuring to free up some cap. Diggs, Davis, Bease is still a very good WR core.

I like Bease, but we need to get more explosive.  I won’t be shocked if they draft a WR at 25; the type who can take a 7 yard crosser 60 more yards for a TD.  And he’ll be cheap the next 4-5 years.  That 6 million is going to be needed elsewhere is what I’m guessing.

You sound like the fans who were writing them off after we beat them in Oct,  they will be fine and that is plenty of money when they restructure other contracts .  Let's worry about how the Bills are going to get better.  Like maybe upgrade the DC coaching spot

You don’t seem to realize Frazier and McDermott share the same defensive principals.  You think another  DC would be outside of those principles?  That’s doubtful.  More likely to happen is Beane continues searching for D linemen who can impact the pocket as part of 4 rushers.

I'm wondering what impact hiring Poles will have on consideration of Daboll and of Frazier as possible HC candidates for the Bears.

For one thing, the new hire may have an "NIH" (not invented here) attitude, and/or may want to bring in his own guys.

I would expect Bienemy and Spagnuolo to get looks as the Bears HC now.

I would expect Poles to not be too interested in a defensive coach who Bienemy/Reid have been able to steal lunchmoney from and kick sand in his face (Frazier)

Didn’t the Bills beat the Chiefs in October?  Gave up 20 points.  Mahomes, Kelce and Hill all played too.  Wait, my bad, I know that doesn’t count though because it doesn’t the narrative.

I swear, a message board after a loss would be a fascinating study in human nature.

Serious question… have you ever played a competitive sport?

If you have you would know trust is everything.  Now imagine all the blood, sweat, and tears these guys put in all year to get to the mountaintop.  Now replay those 13 seconds in your head over and over and over again.

Sorry, you play to win the game.  Relationships only go so far if you think coaching is why you ain’t still playing.

Or are they not playing because they need better players to execute the scheme?  More explosive, faster, etc.  it goes both ways.

Because that's what everyone thought as the Bills gave up a tying FG with 13 seconds left on the clock or let Mahomes drive the field for the win in OT.

"If only we had a better receiver!"

You have a stud QB.  You give him weapons.  Period.  Don’t act like the Bills couldn’t use a WR who can take a 10 yard crosser to the house.  They can and should find one. They need some sudden athletes on both sides of the rock.

trade Edmunds.  Replace with Klien.  Draft replacement.

I'm not sure cutting Beasley is a great idea.  He was big in the KC game, and we have little depth beyond Diggs and Davis.

We need to draft a WR, and hopefully get an impact front 7 player in FA.

yeah, I'd love to get Wallace back, he had a similar PFF grade as Tre when Tre got hurt.  Jackson is a great backup, but I'm not sold on full time starter.

Replace Edmunds with Klein watch Bills defense get lit up in the pass game.  He’s a run down LB.  You want to replace Edmunds you don’t do it with a guy like Klein.

I wouldn't either, but I think CB/ IOL is more of a need.

Even if Buffalo goes DL again, is it talent evaluation or coaching that is failing to this point?

Oliver is good.  He’s extremely disruptive.  Rousseau and Basham are 1 year in.   Based on where they were taken the odds were they would need time to develop.  It is what is.

Explosive athletes on DL normally go very early in round 1.  Or they have issues that cause a drop.   You ain’t getting Bruce Smith at the 30th pick.   Those two and Epenesa will get their chance to show what they can do next season because Jerry and Addison are done most likely and they will have to play.

Could be more than that,  Beane basically did next to nothing from last season after losing in title game.  Other than Sanders and draft,  we were basically the same team.  I think because of all the in season struggles with our line there will be changes.  The Bills can create about 35 million in cap space cutting guys like Star/Addision/Klein/Beasley/Ford/Moss/ Feliciano and a couple of others who play on ST'S.  If they include Morse that goes to around 42-43 million

I think Beane adds a couple of play makers to starting 11 defence. Other than White they have no elite play makers on defence

Addison is a FA I believe.  He was signed for two years and this past season was his second.

I think Beane goes after playmakers on O.  I think Bease and Star  are definitely gone.   Not so sure about Feliciano; depends on Morse.   They won’t get rid of Ford.  They need depth and with Allen’s cap hit going up it will need to be cheap depth.   Team will still be good, but my thought is it will be too heavy (big resources spent on starters).

Draft will be huge this year.

We beat the Chiefs with White. The key to beating Mahomes is locking everyone down, eventually even a bad front will get to Mahomes. Get us another CB to go with White and we beat the Chiefs tonight.

Possible.  I’m talking the athletic profile.  Get a CB with elite movement skills and speed.  Draft like we’re playing more man to man than zone.

I think we need to get another #2 CB, wallace was getting eaten alive today. Chiefs have a great offense and some of the fasters players in the league so I cant say I blame him. We really missed Tre out there today.

Allen though... we are so lucky to have him.

The Chiefs eat every team alive when they’re on.  Wallace is ok.  But if I’m Beane I’m looking for more suddenness/quick twitch at CB and at Pass rusher and WR.  Rousseau and Epenesa are too similar athletically.   That’s cool for most games but a dude like Mahomes?  We need a Von Miller type.  Addison is gone.  Jerry might be gone.

Bease and Sanders are probably gone.  Bring McKenzie back as a chess piece.  Get another WR in FA or draft who can haul ass.  Develop Stevenson so he can contribute on O and returner because he has that speed.  Allen is that dude.  Keep his options numerous.

Look to trade Star if possible, Bease too, rather than cutting them.  Use extra picks to move around draft board.

It’s time to push all the chips in.  Bills can get that trophy is Beane makes the right moves this off-season.

McDermott flipped the franchises around but at some point getting to the divisional round/ afc championship game aren’t enough.

Does McDermott get 1 more shot? 2?

if we meet KC again next year and lose again, do part ways?

So when you have facts against you and you have nothing left to say, just say something dumb like that.  Gotcha. lol

You people don't understand what 'pure football' is, do you?  you just don't get it.

Pure football is having every aspect of the athletes ability available. Pure football is watcing every aspect of football played without outside factors limiting it.

Just because for some reason you WANT other variables to take that away, doesn't mean its better football your way. You are just wrong, neanderthal thinking.

You want a video game not life.  Circumstances don’t need to be artificially perfect for success to be reached.  You can have perfect weather and get less of what you think will happen in those perfect conditions.   It ain’t the weather it’s the execution.  Always.

it’s all moot anyway.  The Pegula’s already stated what the stadium would be.  It is what is.
