  1. led 2 td drives, almost 3, and did not turn the ball over, the 97 yds wasnt much to write home about, but he was the only QB, other than pike, who only led 1 scoring drive (a FG), that did not turn the ball over
  2. so all those scouts and coaches go down there for no good reason, I dont think so, the game itself is probowl rules, so its not totally NFL level, but the correlation b/t guys that are invited, and then become elite level pros is there. And yeah, the little coaching they get from the pro coaches does mean something, but what do the experts know?
  3. bigger arm and better QB are completely different man, Lefevour was the better QB, brown has the big arm
  4. aside from how they handle pro style coaching, taking snaps from under center, playing against top level competition, yeah its worthless. BTW, did you know that over half of the probowl and all pro players from this past year played in the senior bowl, must be a terrible way to scout talent
  5. why, Lefevour did more with Less than tebow
  6. chad led the jets to the playoffs a few times, and I think an AFC champ game, dont quote me on that though, also, pennington is currently the most accurate passer in NFL history, So if Lefevour can be like chad without the shoulder issues, im happy with that.
  7. In all fairness he was behind Pat White, so its not like he was benched for a scrub, but it certainly doesn't bode well for him only starting 1 yr
  8. hes a project with lots of potential, soooo how long you willing to wait? 3-4 yrs would be about right, he's only been a FT starter for 1 yr, so there's a big learning curve, but with the proper coaching he could be a good one, def. a guy with alot of tools
  9. to me the question is can culpepper do more with what we have than TE or Fitz, I think he can, I'd love for brohm to be the guy come opening day, but if he were to be 2nd, with duante starting and a rookie 3rd qb, Im ok with that, I think he has more to offer the young players than trent or fitz
  10. sounds like maybe they have decided to look past TE and Fitzy as starters, one will be a backup the other will be cut eventually, IMO
  11. exactly, he should respect that not everyone is of the same mentality of himself in terms of faith and tone it down a bit. There's nothing wrong with him being so strong in faith, but its not everyones cup of tea, just tone it down a bit, people will respect that too
  12. well considering he hasn't started 16 games in that span, its a big ?? IMO the point is that there is a QB available, who has done more than any QB we currently have on the roster, and he is available for nothing, we can still draft a QB if we want and he does provide us with some wiggle room in terms of where to draft a QB. So again, what would it hurt to bring him in for a workout to see how he looks, i am not saying we should hand him the keys for the next 3-5 yrs. Just bring him in for a workout, that's all. Not to mention if he does come to buffalo, he would have a deep threat to throw to, which, as you have so aptly pointed out, is a major factor in his success
  13. had to see that coming, maybe tebow should try to adopt the "speak softly and carry a big stick" mantra. Not everybody wants to hear it, especially grown men in pro football.
  14. that doesnt justify trying to manipulate a stat to fit your case, the fact is that the guy has a better career qb rating than bledsoe. but if you want to take out the 2004 rating his career rating is 78.7, which is STILL better than bledsoe's career avg, so again what would it hurt to bring him in, at worst he get cut in preseason, but at best, he recaptures the magic with evans & co.
  15. Nobody can win with the defense he had at ND, that D couldn't stop anything, put clausen on florida or USC, where he probably should've gone, and he's a multiple time nat'l champ, at the very least he wouldve won several BCS games
  16. thats an inaccurate sample, lori, 14 yrs vs 4 yrs, and was culpepper even a fulltime starter all 4 of those yrs. 2004:culpepper qb rating 110.9 bledsoe 76.6 bledsoe career high qb rating:87.7 culpepper career qb rating avg: 87.8 so with 5 p/t seasons included duante's rating is still better than bledsoe. like I said, couldn't hurt to give him a tryout
  17. Couldn't hurt to bring him in for a workout, his resume is waaaaay better than anyone we have on the roster. also, by comparrison, when we brought in bledsoe, everybody loved it, and we gave away some picks, statistically, esp if you look at qb rating, culpepper is better than bledsoe, so like I said, it couldnt hurt to at least give him a tryout, esp if they dont want to start a young qb this year.
  18. so quick to call the guy a bust, a raw player coming in his rookie yr, then hurt for a large part of last yr, its yr 3, traditionally the make or break yr, give the guys a chance, both are talented, with the first team reps, they should be ok, IMO
  19. its a figure of speech, like son, or hoss, or chief, or boss, bro, man, dude, etc example: I'll tell ya what, boy, wr may be an unknown but it sure isnt a hole.
  20. the sample they are using is from 1994 to present, and while the team the first touches does win about 60% of the time, only half of that or roughly 30% is on the first drive, and the % of the time where the team that wins the toss ends up winning the game on the first drive by a fg is even lower. what can we conclude from this? 70% of the time BOTH TEAMS GET THE BALL. leave OT alone, please, we're approaching a retarded cross-breeding of flag football and college with all these new rules
  21. everybody has to start somewhere, hardy came in raw, we knew that, wrs usually take 3 yrs to develop, this is yr 3, we got 2 young, talented, and cheap wrs that need to see the field and prove their worth. why is it rediculous to expect anything from hardy, cause he was hurt most of last yr?
  22. needing to bring in some depth is different from a huge hole boy. As of right now we have our projected top 4 wrs, competition should be brought in, but theres no giant hole.
  23. thats what I meant, ratio
  24. read the article on the front page, Nix blatantly states that johnson and hardy will get their shot and they might add somebody, might. So I'd think to expect a WR in rd 4-6
  25. even more funny are the claims that we have a huge hole at WR, and have to take one early.
