  1. I totally get see what you are getting at, but, uh, dude, brady was a 6th rd pick, and clearly one of the only exceptions to the rule, montana and warner being 2 of the others, but brady was def. a 6th rd pick soooooo, he's not the guy you want to use as an example.
  2. Quick question: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT TYPE OF OFFENSE CHAN GAILEY IS IMPLEMENTING??? Answer: NO Everyone is assuming its going to be some sort of spread hybrid run option college offense, but thats not necessarily the case, and If chan wants to put his Stamp on this team, like many 1st yr head coaches do (mike smith--matt ryan, harbaugh--flacco, ryan--sanchez, schwartz--stafford) he will take the QB-Clausen, if available, they've been scouting and evaluting him to death this whole time. if he's there at 9, clausen is the new QB for the Buffalo Bills
  3. I didnt see a hitch at all, or bad footwork, what are you talking about??
  4. I wonder if he will be traded with marshawn??? one can only hope
  5. When has an entire defense ever gotten hurt in 1 yr???? What I am saying is that the "magic" you speak of that Vick supposedly has is a myth, its the same factual argument many others have made, his accuracy sucked, he was never a consistent winner, those two things have nothing to do with him being a scumbag where as my personal view on vick is subjective, the FACT that he never won consistently and has always had questionable accuracy, not to mention the diminished skills potential in terms of his scrambling ability are legitimate reasons to Not want Vick in town as our Qb. Now is marketability was, as you so aptly pointed out, his biggest strength, however, you may be hard pressed to find 1/10th the amount of people (outside of buffalo) willing to buy his jersey post-conviction.
  6. Wow, Kyle williams is the only pure fit huh???? Jauron overachieved Hmmmmmm????? I feel dumber for reading that, Mr. Rosenthal clearly knows nothing about this team
  7. FACT: vick has never led a team to back to back winning seasons FACT: Vick Never took the falcons to the SB What about those two factual scenarios is dumb? Excuse me if I would prefer somebody who is consistently winning, instead of a flash in the pan player that can't get it done a a year to year basis.
  8. no I don't agree with this at all Williams has not shown the consistancy needed to warrant the 9 spot, and tebows mobility is not NFL friendly, he is a bruiser, he is NOT elusive, he is NOT necessarily a fit for chan gaileys offense, nor do we know what gaileys offense will be. At 9 you need a qb (clausen) if not take the OT. in this scenario proposed on that site neither is a possibility, but in that case maybe try to trade back. I am not convinced either of those two picks would be in our best interest. also, the note at the end about needing a splash to generate ticket sales..... BS, wins generate ticket sales fans are NOT going to buy tickets to watch Tebow sit the bench, how hard is that of a concept for people to grasp, he is not ready for the pros at this point, he is a PROJECT, therefore, HE WON'T PLAY THIS YEAR, so why would he generate ticket sales????!!!!!! that line of thinking is so moronic it makes me want to I do like the idea of dumping lynch to SD, but not for tebow, perhaps the 28 is where we would grab a thomas, or maybe campbell (neither of which I particularly care for) but both would be better than tebow
  9. dude, dont you know a tackle is waaaay harder to find than a franchise QB, duh, it's like sooooo obvious we should def. take a lineman over a qb, maybe a punter too, moormans getting up there in age....hmmmmm
  10. and how many consecutive winning seasons did the falcons have with vick at the helm? answer: 0 how many SB did the falcons reach with vick at the helm? answer: 0 I think you know where I stand on Vick....
  11. It would be interesting to see what was on that tape that was destroyed, damning evidence perhaps??
  12. 11 days till the draft buddy, then there will be a slew of new complaining and praise that will wash away all this redundancy.
  13. williams has a typical body type for a 3-4 NT, but also can play the 3 technique in the 4-3. Problem is that williams is essentially a one yr wonder, he didn't do much prior to this year, and THAT has to be a concern. Maybe he's a late bloomer, or maybe he has a ton of talent but you have to push him to reach full potential, we don't know yet. I like cody as a 3-4 pure plugger better, Cody is the guy that will jam the middle and free up our LB's to swarm to the ball and shoot the gaps, not to mention the fact that he has the athleticism to penetrate the line and block punts, as evidenced in his highlight tapes. IMO cody is the guy we need to lock up the middle in our new 3-4 front.
  14. well, it's official, Rapelisburger can get away with whatever he wants, simply amazing
  15. yup, and the falcons took ryan, came back in the 2nd and hit on Sam Baker OT USC, 2 yrs later both teams are 1-1 for playoff berths, it can be done both ways IMO, we should go with clausen, and come back in the 2nd for a OT
  16. pike's a career backup at best, if I could not draft clausen, I'd rather go with Lefevour or brown. Tony's more brittle than bradford, and thats not a good thing
  17. do you mean water under the bridge?
  18. agree to disagree then. clausen couldnt lead the defense, thus they couldnt win many games
  19. thats awesome news, finally, get rid of trent and let brohm fight it out with either clausen or campbell, or whomever it turns out to be.
  20. that must be because they played for the same team, right? well you are wrong, not only did ND put up more PPG with clausen than with quinn, but he has a stronger arm, is more accurate, and is basically a completely different player, the only thing they have in common is playing at ND. Quinn cannot drive the deep ball, he's a dink and dunker, Clausen threw the deep ball great with torn ligaments and a broken foot, he can play in the buffalo weather. based on your logic, Bradford=hueppel/white: tebow=leak, or weurffel : mccoy=applewhite
  21. try and make that point to the jets, ravens, falcons and see how it goes over im not opposed to campbell, but drafting clausen is not an automatic death sentence to mediocrity
  22. exactly what debate are you talking about? the one where ppl think he's cocky cause he showed up in a limo to natl signing day when he was 17, or the comments he made when he was 17 that ND would win 4 titles, or are you referring to his record in college not being on par with the other top qb in the class (he cant play defense too ya know) Are you referring to the pictures that have been circulated of him in a speedo when he was 17 how about getting attacked by a drunk idiot fanboy, is that his fault, does that reflect on his character--to have some moron attack you. there is ZERO debate about his talents, none, he couldnt win at ND due to a lackluster defense, but make no mistake about it, clausen is a franchise QB, he's tough, smart, strong, accurate, a charismatic leader, and he works for it. if you have a choice b/t a franchise O Lineman or a franchise QB YOU ALWAYS TAKE THE QB. clausen improved every yr in a prostyle offense, he learned to check and read coverages, he is without a doubt the most polished QB in this draft class.
  23. havent heard that one, but given clausen's skill set and drive, I wouldn't want to face him twice a year either
  24. I hope Clausen falls to Buffalo @#9, there's no way we could pass on a stud franchise QB like that, Nix knows better, he has to. I watched the proday on nfl network, and the difference in his throws being able to use that foot was night and day, much better drive than he displayed during the season. My new wish list consists of Clausen, saffold, and Mt. Cody, gimme that as a draft class and I'll be happy
