I just told you I've been presenting a flawed arguement on purpose, its called a fallacy, the slippery slope fallacy to be exact. the only real arguement I presented, which is valid, is that if you legalize pot, you need a time specific DUI test for it, thats it a legitimate test would protect the individuals and the public
-
Im well aware of the slippery slope argument i have presented, Im just curious as to how many ways you stoners can come up with to justify legalizing dope
-
who's to say, addicts have to start somewhere, and when pots behind the counter that means its easier for kids to access the illegal stuff (coke, heroin, etc)
-
the point is, lets say you legalize pot, have a functional legit dui test for it, set the age restriction on it to 18, great, whats the next drug that kids will gain access to easier b/c they cant buy pot in the stores? it'll be easier to find coke then booze, pot or cigs. then the argument will be well, why not legalize that too, its a plant, I drive better on it b/c im more aware, blah, blah, blah. the whole arguement is a cop-out plus if we legalize coke and heroin it will put those cartels out of business too, so lets do it, we can tax it all, have all the increased revenues, and have a whole nation of !@#$ed up junkies, thats the way to go oh and btw, coke is not physically addictive, its been proven, so its no more addictive then pot, both are mentally addictive
-
coke and heroin are both derivatives from plants, should we legalize those also, they're just plants, right

Race factors into evaluation of Gerhart
CarolinaBill replied to Joaquin1119's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think while the evaluations from the article about his skills are valid, he probably is being pigeonholed a bit b/c he's a white guy. I like his style, but he's not a #1 back in the NFL and if he can't play ST, he should fall. Time will tell how it all turns out. -

Will Buffalo move up to #2 and take Bradford?
CarolinaBill replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Suh is better suited as a 3 technique 4-3 DT or a 3-4 DE, His speed would likely be wasted playing the 0 technique, thus you dont get maximum value, kinda like playing Maybin at DE when he shoulda been playing OLB, its just bad buisness to play guys out of position, Also, hes 6-5 and plays pretty tall, which is not what you want from a NT, so I dont think it would be best to try and move suh inside, ever, but He could play it if he were required to. -

Suh is more like Reggie White, McCoy is the Bruce of the bunch -
I'll be watching both, simultaneously, and listening to Sirius NFL Radio

Will Buffalo move up to #2 and take Bradford?
CarolinaBill replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ok first off, I dont see this happening, BUT..... If the situation presented itself, this means TB moved up to 1, buf moves to 2, so stl is 3 and det is 9, right, ok. so what do we lose: we swap 1st rd picks 9 for 2, lose a 3rd (meh, ok, I dislike this part the most), lose lynch (ehh, alright) and lose Stroud (ok, not a great 3-4 fit to begin with). All in all Its not a whole lot, I'd prefer to keep the 3rd rd pick but if this is what it takes for Nix n Chan to get "their guy" so be it, question is who does stl pick at 3? clausen, I doubt it, and if thats the case, then why would we give the farm up to move ahead of them. 1 TB--Suh 2 DET--okung 3 STL-- McCoy (assuming they wont take bradford) 4 WASH-- T.Williams 5 KC--Bulaga 6 SEA--Spiller 7 CLE--Bradford 8 OAK--Davis 9 BUF--Clausen if it played out like this ^^^ we would only need to move up 3 spots not 7, maybe then we could save the 3rd rd pick and just ship lynch, stroud and the 9 pick to Seattle, seems like a better deal. IDK, just a thought -
ok, so if im high and pulled over, pass a field sobriety, they ask for the blood test here's the response "sir under no circumstances can you get a blood sample from me, I am a hemopheliac, and that could potentially kill me" also this response could warrant an automatic DUI, as it does with alcohol blood tests arent the answer, to this point there is no precise test that I am aware of that could confirm positive MJ use within a reasonable time frame, and if one of the major arguements to "legalize it" is reducing the courts costs all around, then you better devise a good dui test.
-
hair goes back months, urine weeks, if not months, based on body fat %, unless they've devised new tests in the last few yrs, this still isnt any way I know of to test for it within a reasonable period to warrant a Breathalyzer style test
-
how do you test for it in terms of driving? like a DUI breathalyzer, there's a sticking point most deaths involving pot stem from the cartels, but what about the DUI related deaths, thats why i said contributing factor, its still important to acknowledge that aspect, pot affects reaction time, theres no doubt about that
-
its not that easy to legalize it, thats a big problem, its a complex process, which unfortunately has not even come close to being started
-
use, no, no deaths there, but growing, production, and trafficking, you bet there are. and as a contributing factor, MJ has certainly been a contributing factor in many deaths, just not THE cause. it's illegal for a reason, maybe not the best reason, but a reason, none the less.

Interesting Sports Science Take On Jevan Snead
CarolinaBill replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Snead had a great sophomore campaign, but lost alot this year without oher and a few other key offensive players, the kid def has some great tools, but needs some work in reading coverage, and tightening up his mechanics, from what I've read. Could be a good pick later but right now he's 4th-5th rd material. PS: this kid got beat out by Colt Mccoy at Texas for the starting job, but has a real "live" arm, could end up being the QB steal of this draft. -

in the hypothetical scenario where we do get BR, and he gets suspended, start whomever the #2 QB is, either brohm, fitz, or a rookie. -
