  1. Can you explain your moral position by some kind of objective standard?
  2. It's politically motivated and misleading garbage because it addresses crime by immigrants generally rather than isolating data regarding ILLEGAL immigrants. I'd be interested to know about his lobbying efforts. As far as outsourcing, it's the way the world works. Personally, I support free trade, but it's hardly hypocritical for someone calling for a rule change to play by the rules as they're written. There's also a distinction between concern for jobs lost internally (like construction and other trades where blue collar people could traditionally make a decent living) due to an influx of illegals willing to undercut the market, and jobs that are outsourced due to natural market forces.

  4. I agree with that, but that's not what he's being smeared for. He's being smeared for saying something politically incorrect. And he absolutely is being smeared across the media. It's not even a question.
  5. I disagree. I'm curious what he's done that you find so offensive.
  6. I think that's most likely the case. I'm not even a #Trump2016 guy, I just like him from The Apprentice. Sometimes I think he's a bit of an ass, but aren't we all? It just really rubs me the wrong way watching the smear campaign against him which I think is unwarranted.
  7. It may be a bit hyperbolic, but that's hardly outrageous, especially in our modern political culture. I've heard worse said of a sitting President by members of congress. Objectively speaking, Hillary's stint as SOS was pretty bad. I'd say your criticism is really about being hyperbolic and bombastic rather than disingenuous.
  8. Do we have any real examples of these that fall that far outside the norm?
  9. I assume you place yourself in the top half? Roughly 94% of people do. Other than being a bombastic egomaniac, what is your knock on the guy? Trump doesn't have dick to do with border, immigration, or international trade policy. If you think his use of Mexican manufacturing is hypocritical then you don't understand The issue.
  10. Most people living in subsidized housing are irresponsible and don't prioritize their children's education. Obviously there are exceptions to that rule, but that's the rule.
  11. FL Statute 784.011 Assault. (1) An assault is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent. (2) Whoever commits an assault shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
  12. I wonder how it would be perceived if the exact same interaction took place between me and Mario Williams (with me being the chick and Mario being the dude). And to clarify, I'm about as big of a threat to Mario as that chick is to the QB. She wasn't what I'd call petite, but I'd still got it. No pun intended.
  13. You should take your own advice.
  14. I pretty much agree with this, but with a caveat. I think it's something a man should aspire to and is ideal, but there are situations where even if I think I wouldn't do it, I don't feel it's right for me to impose that expectation on another man. Especially if he was provoked and the force he uses is proportional. At some point he's only human. There are other situations where all bets are off. For example, if a strange woman slapped my daughter I'd have no qualms about punching her straight in the face with a closed fist as if she were a man. No qualms whatsoever. I've never heard anyone so much as offer a reason (other than consequences, but I'm talking morality) as to why you shouldn't.
  15. I agree his wording was poor, but I think most people know what his point was but are running with it anyway for political reasons.
  16. If it weren't for politically active intellectually dishonest people who willingly (and in many cases knowingly) misrepresenting his comments to conflate anti-illegals rhetoric with anti-hispanic sentiment we wouldn't be talking about this. You can't separate the political when the political is the foundation of the issue.
  17. According to GunnerBill you're blaming the victim.
  18. Typical Gunner Bill to put words in someone else's mouth so you can proceed with your sanctimonious schtick.
  19. It's all a matter of preference, but giving up your freedom in order to compel a private citizen to endorse your lifestyle against his will seems an odd choice. It's also worth noting that there is no constitutional footing for anti-discrimination laws aimed at private actors. The legislature passed them and the court rubber stamped them.
  20. Eh. I think sometimes hitting is appropriate. I specify daughters because guys tend to assume they'll get hit back.
  21. In fairness, he's doing justice to both the liberal position on these issues and their debate style. Plus, he actually hung around and took the heat, so even if I don't respect his position I'll give him credit for the effort.
  22. Raise your daughters to know if they hit someone they're likely to get hit back. Even if you subscribe to the theory that a vagina is a license to hit without being hit back, you have to admit it's a pretty stupid idea.
  23. Why do they call it "The" Ohio State? Are there other Ohio States they are distinguishing it from?
