  1. I had wondered about Levi's status and why he was considered to be so valuable. He was drafted in the seventh round, if he had a lot of upside value, someone would have jumped on him much earlier in the process. Outside of Tom Brady, how many quarterbacks drafted in the sixth round or later have gone on to demonstrate great value at the quarterback slot. The Bills took a flyer on guy with a strong arm and it seems it didn't work out.
  2. ss Put a turnstile at left tackle and it would take a DE longer to get through it than the qb would have if Green was playing.
  3. Sorry to see you go. I always love learning about the real game from those who know. I wish you would reconsider and just ignore those internet trolls who hang around and talk stuff about that which they know nothing.
  4. If brains were explosives these two wouldn't have enough charge between them to blow their nose.
  5. You know it lets the players know the coach is on their side. For a change the coach isn't a pu$$y who will let just any old stupid thing go on with his team. I like the attitude.
  6. If Government was solely responsible for destroying the region, Canada and Toronto would be right there with Buffalo. High taxes, government run health care etc, but when you look at Toronto and the surrounding region they seem to be doing fine and they even seem to like their health care. I have lived around the country and the biggest problem with all of Western NY, is the lack of vision for the future. The heavy industry has dried up and instead of looking for new businesses, Buffalo seems to sit around waiting for a savior to come in. The ones who have, have been snake oil salesman, such as John Rigas. Set aside the negativity and reluctance to do anything, find your strength and move forward. I live in Rochester and watched the fast ferry fiasco and decided it was time to get up and say something, I did and my advice is to get out and go to some community meetings, go to whatever political party suits fancy, get involved. Get involved if you don't like what is happening, it will be frustrating as hell but it is the only way to make a real difference.
  7. I read the naysayers on a new stadium in Buffalo and I am always frustrated. Buffalo, has become a town that seems to be too focused on its past and concluded that it can do nothing about its future. The future of Buffalo is in its people, in a city with such great people, the only draw back I see is the fatalism of the residents. Instead of lamenting what has been lost, maybe Buffalo should look at the future and take charge of it, rather than just let it happen. Buffalo specifically, and the region in general have tremendous assets and should be looking at ways to use the lake, the river, hell even the weather to build a Buffalo back into a vibrant city. Also, don't forget the tremendous asset in UB and other schools in the vicinity. Cold weather cities can be great places, think not about the past, but how to make the future better.
  8. As I recall, Flutie's arm was dead by the 10th game of the season. Passes with no zip and sailing, ask Thurman how those type of Flutie passes were for the receivers.
  9. If you're that worried about it, stay out of the Abbot Road lot before and after games.
  10. I would agree except for the offensive line. The K-gun had an outstanding offensive line that gave the skill players time to do their jobs. Unless I see a better offensive line this year, I think the Bills will still have offensive problems.
  11. Oh no an NFL player smoked some weed. My goodness stop the presses there is a scoop to be had here. Not. I always find myself bemused at all the self-righteous who criticize NFL players for smoking weed then they sit down and polish of a case of Labatts. Get over it, nothing to see here.
  12. There have been so many 1st round misses by the Bills that to put Maybin at the top of the heap maybe premature.
  13. Or Fox News depending upon your point of view.
  14. How about if you stay home from the games and turn down the sound on your TV and those of us who like it can continue to enjoy it.
  15. I was debating letting it go, but with the price increase I am out. And when my contract is up I may dump DT all together and go back to cable. I like DT but miss the on demand program options.
  16. NFL Network Coverage was pretty good. I dropped cable and moved to satellite to get the NFL Network and I am pleased that I did.
  17. The Bills were having a chat during the draft with Chris Brown, my comment on the Spiller pick never made it up there, so I will post it here. Spiller may be a great running back, reciever, but when the QB is on his ass before he can get the ball off or the runner is stuffed in the backfield than the reality of a bad offensive line hits home again. The line has been below average since Wolford left and it will not improve this year with out some serious help.
  18. I would hope that we draft the best left tackle available. No sense in getting a quarterback and spend a couple of years watching him get his ass beat and leave football a broken man. I will pass on having Shane Falco early in his career.
  19. Two words on trading up from recent history JaLardass Russell
  20. Living in Rochester, I can't tell you how disappointed I have been in the demise of the local paper. There is very little local news any more and the sports page has deteriorated to the point where it is not worth the cost. I a lways thought Sal was a complainer and found nothing but fault with the Bills. Leo was more balanced but he has moved on to the outdoor beat. The rest of the paper completely lacks any in depth coverage of most topics, and since they moved the business page from the sports section, my GF and I can't divide up the paper in the morning. She wants local and living, I want the front sections sports and business. Can't do that with the changes. We let our subscription go to just Sunday's for the ads and noticed Tops is no longer putting an ad in the sunday paper, but using direct mail here in Rochester.
  21. I like the idea. I love Boise State's turf, it is different and interesting. Also, the red turf would be great for Eastern Washington. And I agree I would love to see the red endzones in Buffalo.
  22. Does the name John Rauch bring back nightmares?
