  1. Good catch, Brad Jones is on my list of three who make sense whether we are in compete now mode or complete rebuild mode the other two being Sebastian Vollmer and Darrius Heyward-Bey
  2. You can improve your throwing by increasing your overall strength with lower body power actually being more important than upper body - also even guys with good arms will throw ducks off their back foot so footwork is important - but while you can improve velocity with training the improvements will be minor
  3. I never believed the hype when people labeled Tebow as a franchise QB coming out of college and I don't buy the hype of Tebow being the worse QB ever now. There was a weird dynamic between Tebow and the Jets - it was like OMG we can't put Tebow in, what if he plays well , we'll never be able to get the bastard out again. Take a realistic look at Tebow and you see a guy with moderate talent and some intangibles, he's going into his 4th season and if he had any arrogance or youthful over exuberance I would think the season with the Jets kicked it out of him. So while I wouldn't give much in way of money or draft picks ( a conditional 7th in 2014 at most) to have Timmy, I'd certainly be willing to have him compete here.
  4. I don't mind the picks but I do question the quality of your big board
  5. Karlos Dansby LB, 31 is getting a little old but London Fletcher gave Washington 6 great years after the Bills thought he was old at 31, Lawson, Dansby and Mckelvin gives the Bills defense decent speed again Darrius Heyward-Bey WR - I'd really like the Bills to have a QB-WR combo that makes the defense cover the whole field, Heward-Bey could be half that combo to open space for Stevie and CJ Bernard Pollard SS - I'm not sure what the Bills think of Searcy but if they have any doubts then I'd love Pollard "Killer of Patriots"
  6. I like Lawson, athletically he's a freak and he's very intelligent - the problem is that his production has always been just average but 4 year 12mil contract is about right.
  7. If you are non-union you work at your employers discretion and can be fired for any reason except race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or age- my guess is you were under the delusion that job performance was the only or main factor in keeping your job and general advancement- this is almost never the case in my experience - adequate performance and making your superiors feel well liked and respected maybe even admired are the keys, after that grooming, buzzwords, and the ability to make yourself always look busy are important. My guess is you felt smarter than your bosses and did a piss poor job of covering it up. Also a general bad attitude will get you canned, my friend also worked at HSBC as a programmer, his first five years were wonderful, lots of raises a couple promotions, well then HSBC started outsourcing programing to India and after a while those raises and promotions dried up and a little while later people were being laid off and my friend who was always right-wing and anti-union was now both angry and scared which visible changed his demeanor and along with his talk about organizing probably facilitated the job loss he was afraid of.
  8. This covers the Heavy metals and Ogallala aquifer- I hope the National geographic is acceptablehttp://news.national...ne-groundwater/As for Corrosive - I usually wouldn't have to document to the people I know that Sulfur and Chloride salts are corrosive or that quartz sand and aluminosilicates are abrasive but OK .
  9. What the !@#$ are you going on about - thick ,corrosive, heavy metal laden sludge, check- going across the Ogallala aquifer check -profits the Koch brothers, check, - The petroleum will be sold in the Caribbean and other Latin American markets, check,- it would be better for the Canadian people and most Americans for Canada to build a refinery and send refined petroleum products through existing pipelines also check- I love my post but I'm not going to defend it from Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
  10. Canada or as like to call it America's storage shed will soon be upgraded to America's global warming summer home
  11. no that was calling a spade a spade, nice try though and thanks for playing
  12. you know, if the Bills got Eddie lacy in the 2nd round I don't think I'd be too upset
  13. who do you think you're talking to
  14. I don't know how it works for fat people but heavy cigarette smoking was a big savings for social security
  15. I guess if the law passed then it would be legal - and I'm not setting a particular price per ounce just eliminating the bulk discount.
  16. I might be exaggerating a little bit but you've never gone into a place where the small pop 12 ounces is $1.50, the medium 24 ounces is like $1.80 and the large 48 ounces is $2.00
  17. I remember him being really good but haven't really kept track the last 3-4 years- anyone have an opinion him as a player right now?
  18. no price cap but if 36 ounces is a $1.50 then 12 ounces is 50 cents
  19. so how did that conversation go " Hello we'd like to get that guy on your team who kicked our asses in the Super Bowl and we like to give you a late round draft pick who will turn into nothing- ummm OK sure"
  20. I wouldn't ban a particular size of soft drink but what I might do is make places have a set charge per ounce
  21. better than those guys who retire while still holding a roster spot - I'm pretty sure Dockery was retired while he was on the Bills
  22. Canada is our B word not an ally
  23. Would be if all apples were equal - which is easier getting two gala, one red delicious, one empire, and one Mac or one of the golden apples of Idunn
  24. That's what I'd probably do but a lot of people on this board believe to be really competitive you need a top 5 kinda QB and to get one other than by a random act of God is to do the combination of not having the bad luck of not having a QB like that in the draft (like this year) and draft right up top.
