  1. i'd be interested in seeing what they want. maybe trade ragland for him
  2. thats too bad. i hope he is able to do well in the next stage of his life
  3. i'm interested to see what has been saved by restructuring the contract, and if we are going to see some more in the next couple weeks. if some of the big contracts are restructured to create some space i could see a couple moves being made to bolster the roster. though i do wonder what the defense will look like.
  4. he could buy mario's or rex's old spot
  5. i'm all about it. and it would be nice to not need to buy another jersey. i've been fortunate there were 2 guys #51 last name spikes. unless they decide to re-issue the bruce smith jerseys. plus i'm sure he's probably going to come cheaper.
  6. lol the admins got their work cut out for them. and i'm sure the trolls will return
  7. the sky is falling
  8. bruce is my all time favorite player, i've had the chance to meet him multiple times and he's been nothing but a class act. sure i was a kid then but still really nice dude.
  9. i was worried spags wasn't going to show up. the back and forth is always entertaining
  10. wait cause the d is looking like they will probably be terrible 0-6? weren't they terrible last year? how is anything different? as long as tyrod isn't made of glass things will be ok
  11. dude had a rough season and needs to build repoire with tyrod i think that will make all the difference in the world with him
  12. blocking kicks with the face

  13. i'd give him a look over. if the price is right pull the trigger
  14. if this was 3 years ago i'd be worried. right now, well i'm sure mario will have a good game or 2 maybe even get himself up to 9 sacks. other than that not really expecting too much
  15. i approve of this. the amount seems reasonable now get to work on the other side of the line maybe a real #2 wr and linebackers.....lots of linebackers
  16. the biggest problem i can see is that the playbook counts on the lb or the safety to recognize and react to different formations. the exotic/difficult part could be running this as a whole at one of those positions. i could see preston brown getting lost trying to figure out what to do. this is part of what a leader on the defense does. and players complaining about difficulty on the line just don't want to drop into coverage. perhaps the hybrid playbook that was used this year was the main culprit because certain formations were not able to adjust appropriately. also the biggest differences between the 2 is the reliance on players, schwartz basically ran the front 4 straight ahead and let them cover up the lb's this defensive playbook is more designed for the lb's to cover the line. still don't think its complicated though.
  17. ok i don't see the problem. this is not overly complicated. if you focus on the individual positions each player would have to learn its not so bad. most offensive playbook look similar
  18. hey when there's a chance you're going to be a free agent because you had a bad year you need to put a spin on it. blame the scheme, blame teammates, put a good look on it, make sure you tell the fans you want to be around. that way he doesn't leave the team looking like a guy who wasn't motivated to preform. even though his teammates have said so. also he's not going to get the money he got last time. it makes more sense for him to restructure. that way he can get more of that big remaining contract at least in a bonus. i do think that no matter what team he's on next year he's going to have a good year. because he will be motivated to perform.
  19. it makes sense to me though. he's not going to get the type of offers he did last time. he's coming of a bad year, and has failed to live up to the big contract. plus if he renegotiates he will probably be able to get most of the pay as a bonus due to restructuring. i'm sure this move was financially motivated. maybe his agent found out that the money wasn't out there and all of the sudden this comes out and he changes his story. talking about team and family and all that stuff. but if the price is right i don't see why not, he can be a talent when he feels like playing.
  20. fred jackson? i've heard of that guy the bills should sign him
  21. agree i won't read anything by the dude. but by discussing it i'm sure a few people read it who normally wouldn't.
  22. well it leads me to believe that there is no faith in thurman. which i approve of. the dude should be canned.
