I don't think it was a "can't miss prospect" but I get the feeling they were hitching their wagon to Bond and then the stuff broke and that went up in smoke. Either way, I don't think they had a chance to get anyone that would have been a major contributor this year where they were positioned in the draft. All the guys they drafted this year (first 4 picks anyways) will likely see a decent amount of snaps this year with how they rotate the dline and with the suspension they have.

Which is funny since Beane said that they had already talked to Moore before the draft and said they would keep in touch with him after. So basically them not being in the room and not know what goes on makes them look like they were intentionally baiting Beane IMO.

I'm more focus on people saying we gave away 2nds when we didn't. We gave them 1 2nd and got a 2nd to move up 14 spots. I like getting the 3rd for sure. Again, it's about how everyone thinks we gave them 2 picks and got nothing back in the 2nd round. because of the Watkin trade basically. Everyone said we gave up 2 1sts for him which wasn't true since we still had the pick and drafted him with that pick.

no, he cost 1. We got 41, they got 56 and 63. 2-1=1. I thought this was settled when we traded for watkins. Just because they used the pick for a player doesn't mean they didn't have a pick anymore.

There are a bunch of 2nd rounders that grade well but not as well as the top 5 DTs drafted tonight. We can still get a very good player in the 2nd at DT but not necessarily a game wrecker. That happens when you draft 30th overall. Hell, think of all the game wreckers we drafted in the top 15 when we were mediocre for 17 years.

Damn, we were short on Williams's. Really could have used him.
