  1. I know a bunch of people hate him but in the end he's still a human being and knows what's important.
  2. I've already stated in another thread that I don't care if the bills FF the Cincy game or the NE game and just took the 3rd seed and made sure they got everyone the help they needed to comprehend what is going on and time to process it.
  3. Don't forget the comp picks.
  4. Same if Bengals lose to Balt. Which is why it only matter if KC loses to LV. Otherwise, neither team can catch them. That's likely why it is being played a day earlier than the other two games to figure out how important it is.
  5. The only way the game between Bengals/Bills matters is if KC loses to LV. In that event, the Bengals/Bills game would be for the 1 seed of both of those teams win this weekend. My guess is that is really going to determine whether the game is played or not. Even then, cincy can't get the 1 seed so they have no reason to play starters unless they really want the 2 seed but then they would be skipping a free bye week just to have a potential extra home game. I would think they would take the rest and play back ups while we were trying to secure the 1 seed over KC.
  6. right but the bills and bengals are preparing for an extra week of play while the rest of the AFC has an off week. I know they only played for less that a qtr on Monday but they still traveled and prepped all week like a normal week and now they get to do it again while everyone else is resting.
  7. Yes, but then every other team in the AFC gets a bye week, week 19 so even if we get that week off (week 20), so do the other teams (week 19).
  8. Well this would likely be the worst case scenario in terms of scheduling.
  9. I feel like I heard someone say 95. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
  10. First off, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, there are those that see this horrible incident as a reason to get on their soapbox for whatever cause they feel like banging the drum for and that is really discouraging to me. I'm not saying anyone here has done that but social media, specifically Twitter, has been 99.9% in support of Hamlin, Bills, buffalo, etc. But that 0.1% makes me just as sick to my stomach as watching the game and the coverage over the past 24 hours.
  11. I remember my teacher in lifeguarding class in HS, she said if you don't break a rib you're not doing it hard enough. Hearing them annoying last night that they were "pounding" on his chest makes me think she was right. Luckily, I never needed to learn that lesson the hard way.
  12. You're right. It doesn't have to be over. I'm more worried about everyone being able to recover from this. I know I was like that in my 20s were I would just dismiss or toss stuff aside that hurt me. Now as an adult with kids, this stuff feels different to me. For all I know, it could end up being something that galvanizes this team into and unstoppable force or could turn every player into a shell of their former self. I just want ALL players to be healthy from this awful situation.
  13. Because who knows how long players are going to take to mentally recover from this. It's not like a broken ankle or something like that. That would be my biggest worry about the players currently and not trying to force them out on the field when they probably going to be thinking about this for a long time regardless of their job/schedule.
  14. I wouldn't care if they forfeited the rest of the season and post season. It's so much more than a game.
