PFF: Bills Should Build Around Tyrod
Estelle Getty replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like you have misplaced anger. -
This is the only thing I could come up with as to why he played dumb about how and why Rex got fired. Maybe he didn't want to get into his real feelings on the Pegulas decision because he disagreed with it. This is based on Whaley saying he had no input on the decision to fire Rex, declaring he wasn't even consulted with on the decision, and making sure everyone knew it was Terry's move. At no time did he say he agreed with the decision only that "I have a boss like everybody else".

If you replaced Nick Saban with Jim Harbaugh you would be right -
The 1 trait every good head coach shares...
Estelle Getty replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm simply stating I have never seen a super bowl winning coach who doesn't know when he should and shouldn't use his timeouts. Rex was a deer in headlights anytime that kind of stuff came into play. Can anyone disagree with that? -
Clock management. Coaches like Bill Belichick and Mike Tomlin are wizards at managing a clock. Their coaching records reflect that. For Rex Ryan it was as though the end of every half was a first time experience for him. The man had no clue on how to properly manage the game clock. I think he was just not a very bright guy in watching his get interviews. There is a difference between being personable, carrying a conversation, and being intelligent. From what I have seen in my life the trait all good coaches share is great clock management. The trait all bad coaches share is lack of clock management. It is the window into the coaching soul if you will. If I'm Doug Whaley in the interviews I crack open a bottle of red wine and start testing coaches in end of game/half clock management situations. This is also the reason Andy Reid hasn't and never will win a super bowl.

I Was Right: (Or FC for Czar: The Topic)
Estelle Getty replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes even Estelle has noticed your a bit strange. -
TIMEOUT!!!! A timeout should actually never have been called in that situation. With the clock winding down and the kicking team struggling to run out there on time, you would never want to call a timeout to let them get all set up. Kickers say they actually like getting "iced" because it allows them more time to prepare. So Rex is actually an idiot for even attempting to call the timeout.

Bills vs. Dolphins Postgame
Estelle Getty replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pegulas have handled this all wrong no matter what way you slice it when it comes to canning Rex. They need a young up and coming football executive not named Whaley. Get rid of the assss kissers like Brandon and Whaley and their crappy red wine. Leave the fossils like Polian and Coughlin in the museum. Burn it all down and throw away the ashes. Give a guy from a winning organization (Cheifs, Broncos, Patriots, Steelers, Falcons, ect) a chance without meddling in something the owners frankly know nothing about. Whaley doesn't count, he hasn't yet mastered the English language -
I believe we are being trolled by Rob Ryan himself

Cardale and a Coughlin story
Estelle Getty replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would agree with your last part but person A is closer than a friend, someone in his position should no doubt help. -

That won't matter in about a week. -
Cardale and a Coughlin story

I'm not saying Cardale is the second coming, but I think there is potentially something there worth exploring further. As for Coughlin If you want to classify helping someone extremely close to you as a "hand out" that's on you. If he won't do that you can imagine how charitable of a person he is. Sorry but I'm in the camp if you were fortunate enough to make $50 million through hard work or otherwise you should hopefully have a moral obligation to help others. I give back and make considerably less than that as you could imagine. Not saying he HAS to, just saying it tells you the kind of person he is, cause trust me if he isn't helping this person he certainly isn't helping anyone else. -
Did anyone else notice in the preseason Cardale 1. Gets the ball out extremely quick 2. Has a laser arm 3. Has good mobility 4. A good pocket presence 5. Is built like an NFL QB I really take these coaches/GM saying he isn't ready with a grain of salt. They are the same people who trotted out Dan Carpenter week after week. Enough said. I still subscribe to the fact if Brady was picked by the Bills under any of these coaches in the last 17 years he would have been out of the league after a couple of years. Coaching, coaching, coaching! Onto Coughlin I strictly don't want him due to his lack luster coaching the last 4-5 years and his old age. We don't need a coach to bridge the gap. But on a personal level I have not been a fan of his for two years after I worked with a person who was good friends with someone very close to him. We will call this person, person A. Person A who is very close to him is older, works two jobs to make ends meet, and struggles to do so. I was told that Coughlin is on very good terms with person A and despite this he never once offered any sort of financial help to this person, unless you would call a few football tickets and autographs financial help. For a guy who has probably made close to 50 million dollars in coaching and endorsements to never offer someone so close to him (who is also elderly) any help says all I needed to know about what kind of character he has and person he is. Mind you for person A $5,000 would nearly be life changing money. Also the person I worked with said person A never spoke a bad word about the $ aspect of their relationship. It was just something my co-worker discovered from being friends with person A. *sorry about the "person A" stuff it was the best I could come up with at the moment.

No need to fret, this is not an angry or bitter post. The Bills season is over for this year as it always is by about this time. I can say that I am proud i never give this organization my $ other than 2 games in 5 years. I will get excited about 2 weeks after the season is over to see the new changes we make and players we get. We will meet here and do it all again next year folks. But for now there is no need to waste anymore sundays this year on this particular team. 17 years and counting for the fans, but luckily for the pegulas its only 2 years!

Did the hughes facemask happen? Did the ref announce the wrong #. couldnt see anything from the replay. But if that was a phantom call that is sick.
