  1. BS. Do you just make this stuff up? Who says hull sucked in 87. Have a link? Wolford was young, but Ritcher was a solid vet by then. Vogler and devlin were both supplanted by Davis and Ballard by 1990. Hell, Davis and Ballard weren't even on the team in 87 Late 90's when?. The players you are referring to seem to picked from about a five year period.
  2. He was on PUP since the start of camp - he has a surgery, allegedly to fuse a vertebrae in his neck, and they think he will be playing football sooner than six weeks? The answer may be that if he is on PUP he has to practice and be added to the active roster within 3 weeks after week six - other wise, he has to stay on PUP the rest of the year. They may be thinking he won't be ready to practice before week nine, so in order to use him at any point thereafter, they have to carry him on the active list all year.
  3. He hasn't practiced yet and had the surgery yesterday before the season started will be interesting to hear if they didn't add him to the list yesterday you are correct that if he isn't already added he can't be put on it now.
  4. No. He will probably go on the PUP list, and not count against the 53 man roster.
  5. Jacksonville never sells out games. They tarp entire sections of seats and sell advertising on the tarps. They are a pathetic excuse for a franchise, but have still had more success in the last 11 years than the Bills.
  6. Doesn't look like this will be an issue.
  7. But, but... I thought we were moving Jasper to inside linebacker?
  8. His contract was 7 years, 49 million. 18 million of that was bonus. I can't seem ti find league wide salaries, but would like to know if a 7 per average puts him near the top of the league. Walker was like a 5x5 contract. Definitely not near the top.
  9. Dockery and Walker were not "some of the highest paid linemen in the league" they were large contracts due to term, but not what you are indicating.
  10. No, the odds of playing the lions in the preseason is 1/28 if it were completely random, which it isn't. There are 31 other teams, we will be playing 3 others, so there is a one in 28 chance that the 4th team will be the lions. You must be new around here.
  11. You have zero understanding of statistics. You would only multiply the years if those previous years somehow limited this year's chance of playing that team - which it clearly doesn't. So in any year, the chance of playing the lions, if it was truly random (which it isn't) would be 1/28, since we never play the same team twice in the same preseason. You, sir, are an idiot. And I am one for replying to this stupid thread.
  12. He should have gone to Missouri. Missouri would have made him so smart they would have renamed it the Terrelle Pryor test
  13. Oh, put a sock in it. No one is ignoring it, but it is only part of the equation.
  14. How dare you use logic, reason, good judgment and common sense in a post on this board? You, sir, should be banned. Yes, the arguments morphed faster than the wonder twins on a staurday morning cartoon. What I took issue with was blaming the defense for Fitz not playing better and cherry picking a career year (not even a complete year) for fitz and comparing it again career statistics for other players. Apples and oranges. Cheers to you for presenting a logical argument. It wasn't my intent to argue to OP's original point, which does have some holes in it.
  15. You drawing the conclusion you want from one statistic is a joke, comprende? So its the defense's fault that Fitz has the statistics of a crappy QB? Is anything his fault? If you want to do a real statistical analysis of Fitz and his stats versus other QB's in the league, read this article. Yes, its from bleacher report, but its is a great article that provides an objective look at numbers that matter. You will notice that there are no excuses made for average drive start or crappy lines or defenses who didn't take the ball away, or bad coaches that held him back or draft position or a mother who didn't breast feed him enough. Its a cold, hard look at statistics over a career - not a cherry picked season or part of a season. Plug Fitz's numbers in and see where he comes out.
  16. The bigger problem is his 1:1:1 games played to touchdown to interception ratio. Sure, the defense controls half the turnover ratio, but those the picks he throws mean a lot more when they aren't balanced out by touchdowns.
  17. As does everyone who is defending the honor of their boy Fitz. If you don't want to hear the opinions of people who don't agree with you, what are you doing on a message board? Telling someone who criticizes the team they love that he should root for another team is asinine, but par for the course.
  18. So he sucks because you disagree with him? You want him to say what everyone else says? Hell, he doesn't have the Bills in the bottom 3 - I figured he would be the new Nostradamus. Now that I think about it, he doesn't have the Bills in the bottom 3 - he does suck!
  19. That's a pretty big conspiracy theory. The Sabres are a profitable business now, and will be even more so in the coming years. You can barely buy a preseason ticket right now - the entire regular season will be sold out this year, probably before November 1. Businesses will be flocking to the Sabres to align themselves with the hottest franchise in town, whether the Bills are here or not. Why would he plot to take over all the Bills advertising revenue, and make, what, 5 million dollars a year on it? I will take him at his own word - if he wants to make money, he can just drill another gas well.
  20. Thurston? My choice is Pegula. Git 'er dun, Buddy! Edit: Ah ****, should have clicked the link first and then ignored the thread. Really? There's nothing better to talk about on the eve of the last pre-season game? This is material for threads in May, not now!
