  1. I'll take the word of current players, coaches and GMs over former player talking heads thank you very much. How many games did Cross and Banks play against Peters? How many game plans did they come up with? If the answer to any of these questions is ZERO?....then that is how important their and your opinion is!!! You latch onto these two guys and ignore everyone else because it confirms your opinion. This my friend is called "belief persistence". You look for other opinions and continue to discredit them all until you find the one guy that agrees with you and then you say "See....I knew I was right all along" Problem is you can always find a dissenting, Cross and Banks, opinion. SOoo closed minded guys like you always think they are right if they can find one jack ass to agree with them and should totally be ignored. IMO of course
  2. No wonder fans of other teams hate us. We even trash the rare probowlers that this team develops. No wonder nobody wants to play here.
  3. Hey an unproven rookie guard with a severly broken leg that will miss all off season and might not ever be the same player and a TE that couldn't crack the staring line up for a 3 time pro bowl LT.....sure sounds like a good deal to me. This is why the Bills have stunk for so many years. If you think getting rid of pro bowlers makes our team better you deserve our 10+ year record of failure.
  4. So is that loser Eric Wood. He can't even play a full season and will likely miss all off season activities. We need to get rid of locker room cancers like this!!!! See...I can make up BS too and present it like it's a forgone conclusion.
  5. Yes I did. If you are one of those guys that questions the ruler when you don't like the measurement we will never agree. I prefer to stick to the facts of what we know and not question accepted standards of recognition for performance if I don't like the result. Don't play madden by the way. And me personally, instead of putting all my trust in Randy Cross I will put it in the players, coaches and GMs that made Peters a pro bowler. But HEY.....what do they know???? You have opened my eyes. I would rather believe the opinion of a rare dissenting voice and a nameless, faceless internet forum user who is devoid of any credibility what so ever
  6. I love BOTH of our RBs. If we had an OL that could open a freakin hole and a QB that presented a deep threat these guys would be the talk of the NFL. That being said CJ Spiller is my kind of RB. A guy offcially with 4.3 and unofficially 4.2 speed who is a shifty dynamic play maker. Just like QB. There are many ways to be successful but just like a QB with a canon for a throwing arm I LOVE RBs with speed. Speed Speed and more speed. Our guys are 4.4 4.5 fast. This guy is potentially 4.2 fast. This guy brings play making ability to the rushing game, the passing game and special teams. Imagine if we didn't get rid of Peters and didn't have an enormous gapping hole at LT. We would be falling all over ourselves at the opportunity to draft best player available and potentially get Claussen, Spiller or Bryant or others!!! Imagine trading down a few spots, getting an additional pick and still getting one of those 3. Ya....we are better for the Peters trade....RIIIIIIIIGHT! I like the rookies we got but basically we gave a way a proven, now 3 time probowl, LT and got in return an OG with a severly broken leg that might not ever be the same or be ready for the regular season and a TE that couldn't crack the starting line up. WAY TO GO FRONT OFFICE!!!!!!
  7. You guys kill me. Like this D-bags opinion means anything. I'm sure Peters was really concerned on the way to his 3rd consecutive pro bowl. The problem is you can always find some idiot with a dissenting opinion. The error is inflating it's importance compared to the over whelming evidence to the contrary.
  8. We are not better without him! Get a clue. Stop whining about his contract issues. Pro Bowl LTs demand Pro Bowl salaries. Typical cheap move by our front office. We tried to catch lightning in a bottle for a second time with a career RT and practice squad fodder and failed miserably. That move ended in a cascading debacle of failure causing a shuffling of the OL that screwed up our RG, RT and LT positions. What did we get in return for our Pro Bowl LT? A rookie guard with a severly broken leg who may never be the same and a TE that couldn't win a starting position!!!!! I wish those guys well and think they have potential but talk about "bird in hand vs 2 in the bush"? If we hadn't screwed the pooch on that one we would still have a pro bowl LT and this year we would be able to draft best player available like Jimmy Clausen, CJ Spiller or Dez Bryant at #9 instead of likely drafting for need! What is even more sick is if we didn't care that much which of those 3 we got we could have potentially found a partner, traded down and gotten EVEN MORE PICKS!!!! I don't know about you but that seems like a much better scenario than what we have now!
  9. RG's a easy to come by an cheap. Pro bowl LTs are not.
  10. The disinformation that you are spreading is that HE IS NOT A GOOD LEADER. I don't happen to see that mentioned in your 6 facts! I hope you are smart enough to realize that at any given time there are 11 guys for each side on the field and a hell of a lot more players, coaches and personnel that comprise the team. You do realize that teams win and lose games not individual players right? And yes that includes QB. I have no stake in this as I don't think Claussen will be available to us at 9 and I think a LT would probably be a better choice for us. Hell, I might even prefer CJ Spliier if we could trade one of our RBs or Whitner with some other picks to pick a LT later in the first round. That being said I can tell unsubstantiated BS when I smell it. It seems pretty obvious to everyone but you that you have a big time negative bias towards him. The truth is you don't know a damn thing about whether he is a good leader or not. Your not even smart enough to believe what your eyes tell you. On a bad team he put up some sick SICK numbers. A bad leader does not pull his offense up with him and display those sort of heroics to try to keep his team in the game. So again....I say disinformation. If you want to be accurate just say...I heard a rumor from one guy siting an unnamed source of a cousin that said he was a bad leader. At least that would more accurately represent the fact that you have absolutely no clue but that it is just your opinion that can't in any real way be backed up.
  11. Haters just want to hate. Pointing out the possible, and more likely, "other side of the coin" rarely open's peoples eyes up.
  12. So basically you have nothing substantive to back up your claim that you state as fact? Disinformation is worse than ignorance.
  13. Schobel is pulling a Brett Favre. He is not a team player or leader and wants to at least avoid voluntary work outs and potentially drag this into training camp. Not that anyone will ever call him out on that.
  14. Honest question here. Can you provide any examples of his lack of leadership? I hear claims like this all the time. Things like so and so is a locker room cancer but somehow to the contrary all of his team mates love him. Do you have any realistic examples to lead you to that conclusion or are you just regurgitating what a scant few have said?
  15. Don't bother with stats. Haters hate regardless of factual proof to the contrary.
  16. ROFLOL!!!! Are you kidding me? What did you see on the field that said probowl potential to you? The kid seems serviceable but isn't it a bit early to start saying probowl anything and Wood in the same sentence?
  17. I agree but I'll call it the Adrian Peterson exception. One of the last things Minnesota needed was a RB a few years ago but Peterson ended up being their pick. His last season he seemed mortal and had a problem with fumbles but rare talents are...well...rare. If this guy is running sub 4.3 40's and is a home run threat play maker everytime he touches the ball it is tough to pass that up. I think LT and QB are much bigger needs as far as making the team better quickly. If we are on a 2 - 3 year plan then getting rare talent is more important perhaps than filling holes. Some would call it the best player available philosophy. People will kill me for this but I think Lynch would be a better compliment to Spiller. Might not Spiller just end up being a better Fred Jackson? Where would be the change of pace Beast mode?
  18. Joey Porter is a penis head but he can play football. Keith Ellison....bwhwhahahahahaahahaa!!!!!!
  19. YES. I am sure that he can't become a good, much less average, LT in the 2010 and possibly the 2011 seasons. That being said there is no guarantee that this guy will even still be in the NFL in 2011 or 2012. We were so incredibly spoiled by Jason Peters rise from TE to probowl LT that we think we can take any guy and do the same. Peter's was an incredible rarity. We can't keep trying to polish turds into diamonds. It works once in a blue moon.
  20. www.nfl.com.....and you are correct. He probably had more like 27 TDs which is still more than Edwards. I don't know how you got your stats but Losman's career completion percentage is 59.2 which is 00.11% worse than Edwards career percentage of 61.3. SOOOO this means for their career the difference is statistically irrelevant AND if your stat of 56% through Losman's first 32 games is true that means he had one HELL of a completion percentage his last 11 because they raised his career to 59.2% This would mean that Losman finished his last 8 games with a MUCH higher completion percentage than Edwards. Ever think of the flip side of the coin? Perhaps, as I believe, we were able to run the ball because the defense had to respect a QB with an actual big time NFL arm???? Since Edwards RARELY ever attempted a pass over 7 yards in the air defenses didn't have to defend the back 2/3s of the field. Losman didn't have 55 concussions because he is not a fragile rag doll like Edwards. Another stat that is worth putting out there is Edwards hasn't beaten a 3 - 4 defense in at least 2 years. Just in case you forgot that means Edwards hasn't beaten an AFC east opponent in at least 2 years. Keep hitching your wagon to Edwards. He will continue to suck, likely even worse than Losman, for the rest of his career. Unfortunately you will have changed your forum name or stopped posting by the time that happens to prevent being ripped for being so wrong.
  21. Nice try pal but no dice. Anyone with a brain can see through your stats. You seem to have forgotten TDs in your Losman bashing....hmmm...I wonder why???? Perhaps because Losman threw 33 to Trents 24??? NEWS FLASH...points win games!!!! Losman put them on the board. On the yardage you are COMPLETELY WRONG. Losman threw for almost 1000 MORE yards than Edwards. Stop lying and giving inaccurate stats. Completion percentage is BS unless it is really low. If you play kitty ball like Edwards you're going to have fewer interceptions and a meaningless check down laden completion percentage. By the way ....Losman was able to put up those numbers while being yanked in and out of the starting lineup. Trent got his numbers as the undisputed starter for almost the whole time. PLEASE PLEASE don't confuse Edwards timid ballless mediocrity as calmness and intelligence. HE DOES NOT PASS THE EYEBALL TEST!!! The poster based his statements on numbers. My very accurate and logical retort is that JPs numbers were always better. If you use the numbers to make a case for Edwards...how could you not for Losman???? That being said neither is the guy that will lead this team effectively. PLEASE stop swinging from this guys nuts. He is a career backup.
  22. Even if we address the QB position we won't be any better than an 8 - 8 team if we don't ALSO address some other big problems. I do think, however, that if we had an O-line that could open an actual, real life, honest to goodness hole in the run game we could get something going. The only reasons we made any yards in the run game is because our RBs worked hard for it. Fred is the better cut back runner and since our line couldn't open a hole in a wet paper bag he was given the starting nod. Both of our guys will look like an amazing 1 - 2 punch if we could get a couple bull dozers up front.
  23. While you're at it throw JPs numbers in there. By the statistics you have chosen he was an even better choice than Edwards. The problem here is that we can't rely 100% on stats. Neither Edwards or Losman passed the eye test or the more important help their team to win test!!!! Edwards is, was and will always be a kitty, weak armed QB.
