  1. They're all hacks. I'm on my phone so I can't post the link but there is speculation kiper takes money to rank players higher on his big board. He has friendships with several agents that have been called into question. I do wonder though to all of the "I don't watch college football" fans: do u get upset draft day about who is or isn't picked?
  2. It's funny that all of the fans want a qb. That they seem to be split into three camps: trade up for rg3, tannehill, and kellen Moore. Has anyone seen anything indicating the bills will be looking for a qb? It seems they have the same qbs going into next year as they had this year all still signed. Btw put me in the Moore camp lol
  3. Stevie by a long shot. He brings less drama than vjax. Stevie has 3 penalties in the last 2 years that everyone is up in arms about - imagine if he skipped 10 games for a new contract like vjax did last year. As for Stevie's not a number 1 but vjax is here are the numbers for the last 2 years: VJax Games Receptions Yards TDs 2010 5 14 248 3 2011 16 60 1106 9 Stevie 2010 16 82 1073 10 2011 16 76 1004 7 Who would you rather have? A guy who plays hurt and wears his emotion on his sleeve or a guy who plays when the money is right? If VJax is a number 1 (he is) so is Stevie! People need to give up the argument of he's not a number 1 or find some facts to back it up. VJax has a better offense and better qb but not better numbers!
  4. OK I was nervous there Seems to me though if the umpire feels there is intent that pitcher would get ejected from the game. Doesn't that and wouldn't that hurt the team as well? Also isn't getting your feelings hurt because someone is taunting you to the point you react with violence also a bit childish? I understand these are men being paid. There is no running up the score in pro sports. Therefore it should be handled on the field. The Pats* could have "scoreboarded" him at the end of the game and got the better of it. Or for your way a lb could have laid him out on a crossing route. Either way the message would have been delivered by the other team like it should be. Not by the refs not by his coach but by the competitors. As for the penalty he received it seems Chan put to harsh of a penalty out there then had to follow through even though he didn't really want to. I address that in my post above. A simple conversation at half time with Stevie could have rectified the entire thing and they could have moved on. Instead he was stuck holding himself to a blanket punishment and imo hurting the team more than stevie's 15 yards.
  5. wow 22 pages for a happy new years wish. This is where I'm at after reading this entire thread... There is definitely a generation gap here. I wouldn't be surprised if the younger posters on here are the ones defending Stevie with the older one bashing him (generalizing I'm sure there are exceptions). Seeing as I fall in the younger category - not for much longer but i still do I will see if I can't change some perceptions. For those of you who have been parents: Have you ever laid out a threat that was unreasonable only to have your child do it and be forced to follow through? e.g. If you do that you'll be grounded for a month! How many times does that actually work? What happens (again generalizing) is that your child shows contrition and you shorten the penalty. Stevie cheering on the sidelines for his team showing he is still involved and cares should have imo done that. as an aside to the guy who's 9 year old listens to him and had no problem with the stevie benching - that's awesome... until you talk about taunting players getting a fastball in the ribs - dude they're kids playing a kids game holy crap! For those of you that have been coaches: You know that problem player that is to good to sit but you wish you could? Players are on board when you penalize that player to a point. In the higher levels of competition winning becomes the important factor. A lesson can be taught until it starts to affect the teams production. That is when you have to reconsider what you are doing. Stevie is a contributor and our top one at wr. He has 3 penalties on 18 td grabs. Thats 45 yards! People want to run him out of town for that?! All I ask is for people to step down from their pedestal and think about this, if the team was better around him (better d, better coaching, better qb, etc...) would you care as much. I feel very strongly that he is taking the brunt of fans frustration. This thread has carried on longer than any thread about the actual loss to the Pats yesterday, or the fact that our d gave up 49 points, or the ralph preaching patience yet again, or wanny being promoted, or edwards being fired. 15 yards = 22 pages = how easy it is for fans to be distracted from the real problems of this team = Ralph continuing to sell and profit from an inferior product!
  6. ihatecrayonz troll
  7. This is madness I cannot believe people are hating on Stevie this much. It was 15 yards 2 quarters ago! There is teaching someone by benching and being over the top with your punishment. Stop complaining about Stevie I want to talk/read about the game not harp on one act 2 quarters ago!
  8. Alright now that they stopped him will you all stop crying about his shirt?!
  9. Actually I think it makes a huge difference. If we drafted 4th instead of 3rd last year we may have gabbert on our team right now! Also remember that modrak is no longer with the team.
  10. Farthest they can fall with a win is 13. Highest they can move up is 9. Ill take a sweep of the cheatriots for two spots (they are at 11 right now).
  11. It really is... between you and I we named a ton of receivers but he is def our best and definitely in the conversation once you get past those top few guys. Please re-sign this guy!
  12. I think Jackson cost himself a ton of money this year. He is approaching to status as far as being poison and has a serious concussion history. It will be very interesting to see who pays him and how much bc when on he is definitely an elite talent.
  13. Its very reasonable. I'm having a hard time coming up with 15 better wrs. In no particular order i've come up with 1 Megatron 2 Larry Fitz 3 Andre Johnson 4 Greg Jennings 5 Welker 6 Brandon Marshall 7 Roddy White 8 I think there is a bunch of players in this range that could be argued depending on health, qb ability, or other factors. They include santonio holmes, miles austin, stevie, hakeem nicks, victor cruz, v. jax, maclin, harvin, mike wallace, etc... point being 15th highest for a receiver who is going to be the first in team history to post back to back 1000 yard seasons and is reasonably in the top 15 talent wise is a steal for this team... Plus I got his jersey at the beginning of the year lol
  14. For a wr? Do you think this is a good idea or just what you think it would take? Too much for a wr imo
  15. The kid from washington did look amazing last night. What a crazy game with the way Baylor was running the ball and the way Washington was passing the ball. I believe I saw a stat that said there were 5 50 yard+ plays last night. With our offense though he wouldn't be asked to go under center to much anyway. About Vicks arm strength i think that is one thing that has always held him back. It is so easy for him to throw those darts that he doesn't seem to have that soft ball on short passes.
  16. If anyone saw the game last night their vote should be RG3. His td run in the first half was nothing short of amazing. Blackmon is a talent but I think far more wr have success from the later rounds than qbs... I know cue the Tom Brady (6th) Joe Montana (3rd) and Drew Brees (2nd) talk but how about this list - Steve Largent (4th) Chris Carter (3rd) Andre Reed (4th) Brandon Marshall (4th) Wes Welker (undrafted). Point being RG3 I think is a franchise changer and Blackmon will be great but a wr does not do that for you.
  17. Actually I would love to see both upshaw and hightower be our first and second round picks. The familiarity of Dareus, upshaw, and hightower would be beneficial. As well as the fact that they come from a great program, system (already 3-4 trained), and coach (say what you will about Saban but he is a good coach).
  18. very rarely do I actually lol but that one did it. Between georgeedwardsteeth and Toshiero trolling is in full force on tbd.
  19. I hear you. I think it has to do with a lack of success for the Bills and success for him. It is like breaking up with a girl and finding out she moved on to date a better looking guy who makes more money than you while you start dating your right hand.
  20. wow Rob Johnson was more of a statue than Bledsoe!!! I guess he was a record breaking qb after all! Peters has imo always been an excellent run blocker. The stats though are skewed by Vick as he breaks containment and bust long runs (6.8 ypc in 2010 and 7.8 this year) and McNabb in Peter's first year was not a scrambler. Also I don't know if anyone gets credit for the sacks he takes when he is dancing around in the backfield so I don't think it skews the numbers to significantly. Either way Peters would not be playing that way here and admitted to dogging it after he left. So although he is def a good player he would not be that same player in a Bill's uni. Let alone the fact that he is basically playing the rt position for them and not the ultra valuable lt blind side protector.
  21. If both teams win SF will be the number 2 seed. However both teams play at 1 so the outcome will be an unknown for both teams. Payton (saints HC is mum on the subject). He is already up 190 so it would be suprising if Brady caught him but not impossible. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AnSeSUFSoY.rxjYm9hCNHUtzTrt_?slug=ap-saints-breesfinish
  22. I wonder how much this has to do with the fact that he no longer protects the QBs blind side. His last year with the Bills he was credited with allowing 11.5 sacks. His first year in Philly (with McNabb as QB) he was credited with 6 sacks. His last 2 years (Vick as QB) he has given up 2.5 and 2 a year. So I see a couple of things, 1 is a guy who dogged it and was not effective while here, 2 a guy who is getting paid a boatload of money to be essentially a rt (does not protect the blindside), and 3 a guy who is protecting the MOST mobile QB in probably NFL history. Peters would not be elite if he were here because he didn't care to unless they showed him the money. The same can be said for McGahee except he was a goner no matter what the Bills wanted. Link for stats: http://hosted.stats.com/fb/playerstats.asp?id=7122&team=21 Isn't Dickie J their D-Coordinator?!?!?! Part of the reason those rankings are so high may be because their rush defense is ranked #30. Kind of like when he was here and we had the 3rd ranked pass D because no one had to pass on us. Joe Haden is an excellent cb Sheldon Brown is decent but who else do they have? The 2 headed monster safety combo of Usama Young and Mike Adams! (yes I did have to look those names up lol) I'm not attacking you but lets not talk to highly of this D. Middle of the pack sure but steel curtain they are not.
  23. Players don't need to be involved and all refs don't need to be involved. A few refs doing the right games could easily do this. It doesn't need to be a huge thing just a couple people could pull it off. Depending on where they are on the field a ref could call pi or not, call holding or not, or make strange calls on reviews. The less people involved the less mouths available to talk about it. Again I have no idea who would pull strings but in a billion dollar industry it would be extremely naive to not think there is some corruption. Whether that involves fixing games is a tough question to answer. Unfortunately I don't think it would surprise many people If it were true... Or else this thread would not still be alive
  24. I would def enjoy that as I stated earlier I feel the jets are our biggest rivals as of now. Guess i want my cake and to eat it too!
