  1. No problems here. I had to unfortunately dvr the game but the playback was fine. Earlier in the year , I missed half the Bills/Pats game and called Directv. I was pissed and since I have been " a loyal customer for years" they credited me a WHOLE months bill ( something like $350!! )
  2. Draft Luck if he is available regardless of how well Fitz plays this year If we have a chance to draft a potential franchise QB to head our Bills for the next 15 years , we would be stupid to pass him up. We hopefully won't be drafting top 3 again next year , so this is our year to take a QB high , that may have the potential to be the difference between elite and good. Finally , let him sit behind Fitz and learn and if Fitz doesn't pan out how we hope , then we are set and ready to go with a new qb.
  3. I disagree Senator. His post was very informative , well put together , and to be be honest , posts like that are a big reason why I frequent this site. Your posts on the other hand are borderline elementary , offer nothing of substance or intrigue , and are just plain useless and ignorant.
  4. What’s that? Ah — Playoffs? Don’t talk about — playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game!
  5. Sorry but there is a BIG difference between coaching the Cowboys compared to other HC vacancies. And money talks , and Jerry Jones has a ton of it , and he will be desperate after this years epic failure to land the "hottest" coach , even though I'm not sure Harbaugh fits the bill.
  6. No , fans LOVED their potential. Merriman proved himself with stellar pro-bowl seasons and was an electrifying , productive , and entertaining player. Thats why Chargers fans LOVED Shawne Merriman.
  7. If I were Buddy Nix , I don't bring in a guy like Shawne Merriman just to see him walk at the end of the year , franchise tag or not. One would have to assume that Nix should've talk to Merriman's agent first about an extension before claiming him. Why waste the money? To buy a draft pick?b
  8. I don't know if its just me but since we made the change at qb and the Bills became somewhat competitive , I've been getting those butterfly feelings again in my stomach mid-week for the past month. Even though we are not going to the playoffs again and even though we have more questions than answers at this point , I still feel a sense of excitement knowing that our Bills are headed in the right direction and knowing that every week is a tryout for each and every player on the squad.
  9. Just because an NFL player has a widely recognizable name doesn't make him a good fit on all teams. There is a reason why the Patriots traded him , and there is a reason why the Vikings , who are pretty much in a "make it or break it" year , waived him after FOUR games. I don't want that cancer (Moss) affecting our team..our very young team. Its not gonna happen anyways. Merriman on the otherhand... high reward low risk. Bring him in , sign him to a 2-3 year incentive laden contract , and see what he can do.
  10. Too bad his "beast mode" on the field is long gone. Another example of a over-the-hill vet taking valuable snaps from a young player. He should be on the waiver wire.
  11. Totally agree and well said. And if the Bills do claim him and extend him , you better believe his contract will be incentive laden and by no means does bringing in Merriman take any focus away from our weakest defensive position, LB.
  12. Im sure they paid attention to it , and Im pretty sure they at least made a phone call to his agent. Who knows , maybe Gibson didn't want to come to Buffalo and maybe he wouldn't resign with us. Kinda of a waste in a rebuilding year. If we were a playoff caliber team , then things would be different on both sides. No big gain/loss in my eyes.
  13. Im glad we didn't sign any of those coaches. Shanahan won a Superbowl because he had Elway and Davis. Once they retired , what else did he accomplish? Cowher won one Superbowl (yes , one more than the Bills have ever won) , but it came after like 43 years of coaching the Steelers. Law of probability? And Billick had the advantage of having a Polian-like , future hall of fame GM in Ozzie Newsome.
  14. Why do you want to see him get cut again? He was a model NFL player off the field for us , was always professional , and was a true competitor. I'd love to see him get signed and play well somewhere.
  15. I agree. The only way we take a QB this April is if Luck comes out. Look at what Bradford is doing in his rookie year and look at what St. Louis has to look forward to for the next 10 years. Don't get me wrong , the perfect situation for me would be for Fitz to shatter any doubt about his franchise qb potential, Luck decides to stay @ Stanford , and the Bills take the top rated pass rusher , thus , accelerating the rebuilding of the franchise.
  16. I don't know what game your watching but clearly , QB is not our problem. Protection? Yes. Defensive overhaul? Yes. Gailey has coached Ryan Fitzpatrick through 5 games. Coming into today , Fitz held the #2 qb rating , and will still be in the top 5. Fitz is a young quaterback that has just been handed the reins to the offense. He will continue to get better under Gailey. Everyone is acting like Fitz is an old grizzled veteran instead of a 27 year old quarterback that is just getting extended play time.
  17. Why would you want to put Brohm in? Simply because we the fans , have not seen him start a regular season game? If Gailey thought Brohm could do a better job than Fitz than Brohm would sure as hell be in there. Fitz did nothing today to say that he is definitely not our franchise qb. Why put in Brohm when our offense ( our very young offense ) has made great strides since Fitzpatrick got the nod. When was the last time a Buffalo Bills qb had Fitz's kind of numbers through 5 games? But you , the fan , think its better to put Brohm in because "he an unknown"? I understand being emotional about a loss but come on , don't jump off the bridge.....yet
  18. Still way to early to know if he's our franchise QB . That being said , he did nothing today to make me think that he isn't. He made tough throws , clutch completions , and managed the game well considering he was playing against a defense run by probably the best DC in the league in Crennell. All in all a solid performance.
  19. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article236875.ece "The Chiefs are vulnerable, having allowed 20 completions of 20-plus yards and a league-high five over 40." I guess if I'm Gailey and Fitzpatrick , im licking my chops.
  20. No , there both HTML sites. Theres no software to download. Its like viewing a youtube feed kinda. I used the ATDHE link last week along with justin.tv Justin.tv had a better quality feed IMO but was shut down mid 3rd quarter , I switched to ATDHE and was overall very good.
  21. Drafting a qb for the sake of having "two good qbs for a change" is ridiculous. Its still too early to tell whether or not Fitz is the guy , but if he continues his play of late for the rest of the year , obviously drafting "the best available college qb" is not going to happen. Offseason priorities should be defense , defense , defense. The oline is coming together , and will continue to improve. Olines need time to jell and we're only 6 games in. I agree tight end is a question mark , but is kind of a wait and see deal with Shawn Nelson's potential. Beyond that , I really don't see any other question marks on offense. Stevie Johnson has arrived , our stable of RBs are impressive , and our O line is improving on a weekly basis.
