  1. Is this some kind of a joke ?? Craig Dahl will never last until the seventh round. He will go middle sixth at the latest !! But the first five picks look too good to be true. P.S. Who is Craig Dahl anyway ?
  2. I never said he would or could. That's for the guys who get paid to do that, to determine. If the Bills think he is that talented then they should make the deal,, otherwise... of course not
  3. If Turner turned out to be one of the top 5-10 running backs in the league, he would be well worth the 12th pick in the draft.
  4. It was bascially our first rounder (40th pick in the draft) since we didn't have a first round pick that year. But I'll give you that the 12th pick would be more value lost. He's about as "incomplete" as Eric Dickerson was coming out of college. I would take that to the bank right now (if he was even close to that). If the Bills settle for a second tier runningback they will continue to be a second tier team.
  5. I'm hoping he gets to the "bottom" of the first round... or at least past #12.
  6. I flew to N.Y. from California in 2004 the year we drafted Evans and Losman. I was as excited as anyone in the joint when we moved up to get him but I am not convinced he is a QB that can win a SuperBowl. (I believe that is the point of all this). Further, with injuries always a factor, a good young QB is not a bad idea. Probably not until round six unless they have a QB ranked very high in round four. (No round 5 pick). I still like our QB alot but wouldn't mind seeing a little young blood behind him.
  7. Glad you weren't in the draft room in 1988. Sometimes chances are just worth taking. I think this is one time that would be well worth it. Obviously you disagree. You may be very correct.... just saying in this case, I would pull the trigger... but not in all situations.
  8. No. not saying he was a bust. He was okay. Just not first round material. Sorry if that was misunderstood. Just saying let's pick the 12th best guy or better. Nothing more to be insinuated.
  9. Peterson is going to be elite, alot like Eric Dickerson of the 80's. He would make the QB better, the line better and the tight ends better (although only so much is possible with Robert Royal). He would be worth three or four picks(but wouldn't cost that much) because he would make everybody better on the team. Less three and outs and the defense is on the field less and they can also be more aggressive because we will be scoring more points. I disagree with most of the people who are always wanting to trade back because elite players are needed, and he (In my opinion) would be near the top in at his position within two years. Trading back will bring you depth and excellent special teams but few game changing players. Saying that, I don't think there is anyway we get this guy but, of course, this is the time of year that we can dream.
  10. If the Bills draft a guy who is barely in the top 25 with the 12 th pick it will certainly bring back great memories of Jeff Burris and John Fina. Those guys were chosen well before their time and played like guys who were picked at least a round too early. What exactly is a "high character" guy, anyway ? Give me a great football player and let the high character guy date my daughter. I sure hope the team doesn't get so focused on some guy like they did with Burris and Fina and let far superior players go by. Even if he did play in the "rugged" , "fast-paced" BiG 10.
  11. I say we draft Lawrence Timmons or Chris Houston. Or even Poz (hope not) Okoye is drafted by Miami and Willis falls all the way to New England. And severe depression sets in as the two guys this board likes so much, go to the enemy.
  12. Penn St. has won exactly what lately ? So he's got high character . I'll let him date my daughter. He's way overrated and I'd be highly ticked off if we take the 30th best player with the 12th pick !! Clearly the best linebacker ?? The only clear thing is his skin tone. Get real
  13. I want whatever it is that you are taking !!! The extra strength Vicodin I take for my back surgery makes me feel good about life but not to where I'm on cloud 9 and reality is no where in sight. Though the whole thing struck me as funny, the sentence using the word WEAPON in the same sentence as Everett and Royal really struck my funny bone. Wouldn't SUICIDE BOMBER be closer to describing them using military terminology. I think 2008 looks promising (assuming needs are met in the draft) but this team has too many questions to justify the optimism (other than being on the drug of your choice).
  14. If he is not better than Williams then the Bills should still be in the market for a DT on the first day of the draft. McCargo is the wildcard, of course. I think this trade should benefit both teams but the Bills are definitely lacking at LB and I wouldn't mind seeing two LB's in the first four rounds.
  15. If he does not hold up well against the run, then you are right, he will fit in perfectly with our defense !
  16. Are you any relation to that RobGuy who couldn't get along with that midget QB a few ago ?
  17. Trying to think how I'd feel if I was a senior and opened up the draft guide and saw I was compared to Langston Walker.
  18. Did it list if he happened to make a tackle or two this year ? Minor point but I'm just the curious sort.
  19. I am having a hard timing understanding this post !! Are you picking a Superbowl victory for the Bills or not ?
  20. I gather by your comments that Simpson is going to play CB ??? Is this part of the great cover 2 scheme as well ? 1 CB 3 safeties, and undersized , not super-athletic DT's that get knocked on their behind so that undersized LB's can get dragged 12 twelve yards down field and lead the team tackles ? Why isn't every other team doing this ??
  21. It's a rough time of the year. The draft is still aways off. The fact that the last playoff game was over ten years ago doesn't help. But I would agree that these "what's your favotite color" and "favorite chick flick" do get a little old.
  22. Should we bring back Walt Patulski to play DL and Dennis Shaw for some veteran leadership behind Losman ? Aw the good old days !! START a discussion worth talking about (like the old days) and it will be discussed.
  23. That's over 2 million per sack !! Who says Ralph don't have money to burn.
