Thanks for the stunning news. Usually teams don't get better after they let corner walk.
-
Gilmore is awesome and we will miss him. He is worth the big contract and in is his prime. However the Bills cant afford him. Period. Initially thought Hyde has a big contract but it's half of Gilmore. If he is 75% as good it's a nice deal
-
If it's anything over the veteran minimum for 1 year than I don't like this. Enough resources are tied up in RB spot
-
Totally fine with this deal- keep us out of QB "purgatory" with at least a respectable option at QB, gives cap flexibility, and keeps options open if option to draft a qb materializes.
PS- this is a good thread, but keeps moving down as there are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many new threads started around here lately

For the love of all things holy TRADE DOWN Doug...
How he left us with 6 picks in this Draft is beyond my comprehension...He better fix that...
Scouting this class and knowing we're short on picks, cap money, and overall talent is making me very, very, sad...
This and more this-
Neutral football buddies are asking me how the Bills can have a poor record, low cap space, and only 6 picks? Not the trifecta we are looking for, so trading down even just to pick up a 4th and 6th would be welcome
-
Went to school with Derek and he's a fraternity brother. You won't meet a better dude, and he's been kicking ass with the Eagles for years. Bills are lucky to have him....
Now about how the Bills draft and gameplan......................
-
Taking a receiver 1st would be very Millen like- it would mean we have used 3 of our last 4 years 1st rounds picks (assets) on WRs- no thanks
-
Thanks for the info JW.
Ditto- nice to have some actual scoop and information amidst all the speculation and whining!
-
This is creepy but fascinating
-
Didn't we go threw this before, when some high profile coaches (Shannahan, Cowher) told the Bills to take a long walk after examining the front office setup?
-
What a miserable thing it must be to have to listen to these grumpy, unhappy media people ask questions and watch their glee when they catch something negative

Not sure about Rex being defensible, but here are four reasons why I don't want to see a coaching change.
1) From an outside point of view (not crazy fans over analyzing everything) any team that burns through six coaches since 2008 is a hot mess. With obvious organizational issues, no sane coach would want to go into a meat grinder like that. Let the Pegula's establish some stability and "street cred" around the league. While the Bills are a huge disappointment, they have been a 500 team for the last three years, and sadly enough that is improvement from the previous 10 plus debacles.
2) It was silly to bring in a 3-4 coach to come in and coach a team whose strength was a 4-3 defense with no QB. We didn't have the players to run the 3-4. We have "some" now, so it's hard to tell if it's the players, the coach, or both at fault for the poor D.
3) Rex is not a great head coach- (see timeouts, schemes, gameplans, penalties etc) and only a great head coach can overcome the massive injuries we've had. Not an excuse, but it is a reason. Let this play out with a full hand.
4) No franchise QB. What are the Bills supposed to do with a guy like Tyrod?? Air it out? Ground and Pound is a must for now
-
First of all, Bills fans need to close ranks and stop sending these videos out! Need some sort of tailgating mancode not to blow your homeboy in
Also, look let's call it like it is- this is a typical image every Sunday at a Bills game
-
If I want to hear bad news or sniping about the Bills, I read a Sullivan article or visit the forums.
My eyes already tell me the team is a trainwreck again this year- I don't to hear it from the Murphy podcast for 3 hours. I like the guys unrelenting and unwarranted optimism about the Bills.

Terry is cheap!

Living in AZ, I spent the afternoon watching the Rams/Cards game. Here are some observations on the Rams:
1) Offensively they are unimaginative. They will slam Gurley against 8-9 man fronts 20 times, regardless of the results. They will throw a couple bombs to Tavon Austin. Most effective weapon last week was screen pass, and Keenum had a couple sneaky escape plays that were called back.
2) Defense is a handful- their Dline is huge and relentless, and the secondary can make some plays
3) They really are borderline dirty still- a few hits on Palmer were....close to being cheap. We better keep Richie under control so he doesn't have another 3 penalty game
4) They like ugly football games- talent wise it's a close match up

Jonathan Williams start the most games at RB, and plays well
-
Yeah he could show up week 10 and then in practice say he has Plantar Fascilitis which is very hard to diagnose without honest patient and hit it will not get better thru agent or anonymous source until he has long term contract. All legal but as unethical as Billicheat.
AKA the Byrd Flu?

Y'all see this?

1) Love to see a guy so excited to be a Bill
2) Our facilities look fantastic!

Fantastic! Almost makes my old but want to sign up on twitter--- almost!
-
Best thing for the Bills is if TT turns into a star on the field- go get em!
-
As long as it's not for the Jets, he can go right ahead
-
It seems like so many Bills' fans 1st reaction to a player who becomes good is "trade him".
Personally I want no part of trading him- love the dual threat action, his 8-6 record in the first year, his deep ball and his quick grasp of the offense. Just throwing out ideas for discussion
In all seriousness, seeing the money that's getting thrown around right now makes me admire teams like Baltimore, GB, etc. that don't spend wildly in the early throes of FA.
Totally agree- just saw a chart of the top 10 teams that spent the most money in FA the last 10 years- and it's not a good group. (Hint- the Dolphins lead it and the Browns are on the list)

Forte is a good back. Not sure if his production at his age will outweigh what the Jets got at RB last year- let's hope they overpaid for him!
