  1. I don't understand posts like this.   I have no objection to players being fairly compensated, but I am a fan on THE TEAM.  The salary cap is real.  Overpaying and guaranteed contracts are generally onerous on the cap, and hurts the chances of signing additional players.  Yes, it's a bit unfair for some of these payers but it protects THE TEAM.  That's good right?  The league needs protection from nutcases like Jimmy Haslem, ruining his franchise for years with the Deshean Watson contract, which is what a large, guaranteed contract could do to a team.

Damn. That must have been fun back then -- what did you wait 3 or 4 days to get the results by fax machine?

For all you young whipper snappers (that's fun to type!) what I had to do in the 1990s as fantasy Commish was wait for the USA today (that's a newspaper:) to come out, usually until the Wednesday edition as the Monday night games ran late.  Then manually go through and score all the lineups from the posted individual player stats, score each fantasy game, update the league standings and then print and mail a sheet (and a mini bust balls newsletter) to all the owners every week.  So yes, our dues at the time included paying for the stamps!!!

  3. More concerning than playing time is that fact that Poona Ford and Tim Settle played MUCH better this year out of our system, so the DLine system needs to be looked at along with the rotation

  4. Some notes on my trip to the Seattle game:

Bought my whole family (adult aged kids) from Arizona. Seattle was totally safe and very walkable (and rainy)

The city was MOBBED by Bills fans.  I mean everywhere.  The Space Needle, the fancy Starbucks roaster, Pike Place Market, my hotel, the streets and bars- it was unbelievable.  Lost my voice from "Go Bills" to strangers!

Everyone was cool- Bills fans were pleasant, and the host city was mostly just charmed (and a bit shocked)  Saw no fights, arguments or confrontations.

The Bills backers bar on Saturday night ran out of cold beer and ice and had to go get more- Bills fans threw down old school and did y'all proud.

Stadium was 50% Bills fans all day.  Talked to a couple Seahawks fans at the game and they were shocked and impressed by the Bills turnout.

While it was still a close game the Seahawks fans were still pretty loud

Gameday experience downtown and outside the stadium really kinda nice- sorry Orchard Park

All in all a great trip and proud to be a fan

  6. I don't understand how any of this is a thing

    1) Poyer is a free agent

    2) He is supposed to do things to drum up is own value- this is likely his last contract

    3) He and his wife are from Florida I think-maybe they want to go home?

    4) No offense to Buffalo, but if you are not from there it may not seem a great place to move-I myself prefer palm trees to snow

    5) The Bills likely love him but are tight on $$-if he can get a big pay day it's likely elsewhere

Nope. The minute game was over. Thought the move was to keep Daboll.

was either on terrry to pay him hc salary to keep him in buff as OC or make the hard / radical (but right ) move to can McD and hire daboll

can’t we just allow for the possibility that maybe the big game day decision making and defense problems is bc of McD? Maybe the right move is to move on from McD ?

This is ludicrous-sounds like when SD fired Schottenheimer for whoever remembers or St. Louis fired Vermeil for Martz.  The only way you fire McD is if you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you are upgrading.  So for like Andy Reid- yes absolutely but not an unproven Daboll

Thanks for posting the source- all of the OPs post not "much" was lifted from Joe Marino's locked on Bills podcast.  Wanted to make sure it gets a plug hear- I listend to while walking literally daily.  He really does a great job keeping us out of towners informed.

  9. It wasn't that Bojo had a punt blocked- it's that he muffled a hold on an easy field goal that blocked.

Haack had a terrible game a few weeks ago and got ripped.  Seemed kind of silly to get a punter whose specialty was holding.  However here we are- maybe Bean was right and knew something after all!?

    Let's see tonight- Go Bills!

    We're aware.

    They're aware.

I trust the process and coaching to figure this thing out, this is a SB window year.

And despite bad performances last week, we have Elite D and ST

Are you sure we are aware?  I haven't seen many offensive coaching adjustments= some coaches are stuck on what they want to call and try to ram their gameplan home.

Elite D?  Sure, against bad teams, but the Colts made us look soft.

Elite ST?  Average at best punter and average Punt returner

When Greg Cosell talks football everyone should listen- I think the dude is an expert.

The NFL needs to reduce the number of teams, not expand.  Too many bottom dwellers and a league with diluted talent.  Have you seen ticket prices for most of the games?  $20-$60 per ticket ... with only eight games a year?  Any talk of expansion is crazy.

I don't you are correct at all-

Here's the lowest tickets to the Cardinals game by me.  The lowest

  12. I don't think it's an accident that his Jersey sales are surging mainly after signing the big extension.  I don't know about the rest of you, but my closet is littered with failed Bills Jersey purchases of what turned out to be temporary Bills employees.  (McCoy, Spiller, hell I have a Travis Henry jersey!)

It's nice to know we will have him for the long term

lol. This has been an existence from the day I started with the software which was somewhere around 16 years ago. THEY changed the interface and I wanted to make it look nice.

and no, I don’t sit around reading every single post since 1998, probably almost 10,000,000 posts, and personally hand out rewards. 😂

Ha!  Fair enough it was more an idea to reward useful posts by I would guess a thumbs up count (say every post that gets 25 thumbs up counts or so)  No issues either way!

  14. Are we sure post count is the metric to be used for levels?  Seems a reward for the people with most time on their hands?

In fact do people really care about level?  Seems silly to me

But if you really are doing this again, then give posters of useful, interesting things or breaking news awards.  Not junk posts, goofy comments, or rewarding those who comment on every post, sometimes repeatedly, to boost up a post count.
