  1. Not sure I'm a fan of a Whaley going on record throwing Nix under the bus- leadership needs to take ownership of mistakes.  That said, he probably isn't making this up- at the time EJ wasn't regarded as a sure fire 1st round pick as I recall.

I'll never forget some of those 1st practices I got to attend at SJF college EJs rookie year.  EJ strolls out, Tom Selleck mustache and some swagger and I'm thinking- well-- maybe we got something here!  Then he proceeds to throw every other pass into the stands and we all knew then we were in trouble-- again.

Articles like this make me thankful even more for McBeane!

I thought the drive to take the lead and "win" the game against Arizona. That was franchise QB s***.

I was at that game in AZ- was a truly great moment after Diggs made the catch!  Was high fiving with family in the stands and hugging- we thought it was a winner.  Cardinal fans (who are pretty cool)  started leaving and giving us "good game" nods.  The fluke duck play aside, that was a heckuva clutch drive, as our QB was cash money

I think the NFL and NFLPA have gone about this the right way and I applaud their collaboration and the practical outcome.

Totally agree.  Working with a Union is extremely complicated and it's hard to find middle ground.  This seems reasonable- I mean essentially you are free not to get the vaccine, but there are negative consequences you must deal with.

I think the NFL overall has been masterful throughout this crises and managed a full season last year

I think this announcement will kick off a new wave of extensions, restructures, and trades leaguewide. Then June 1st will come along and I guarantee there will be some shocking cuts across the league. I envy teams like the Jaguars (has that statement ever been made before?) that have a crazy amount of cap space to work with.

Disagree-  A good team today that is in tight but not critical cap shape is way better than a crappy roster with nothing but hope and cap space!

  5. What are you talking about?  Please add some context for us out of towners who aren't privy to the local news.  Did he show up out of shape?  Do you own a restaurant he showed up in and he's fat?  Can't follow your 4 word post at all and this site is how some of us keep on on the scoop...

  6. Not sure what the new Texans GM was supposed to with the QB spot-

-inherited a pissed off QB demanding trade (Watson)

-QB in all kinds of trouble getting a message from 7,000 women (Watson)

He could not anticipate either of these things

To top it off, Texans had no 1st OR 2nd round pick.  That's bad

So they got a decent free agent place holder (Tyrod) and drafted a rookie they hope can play and/or develop

Guy is doing the best he can with the hand he was dealt

Cynthia Frelund joined NFL Network in 2016 as an analytics expert, providing her unique insight into the game on NFL Fantasy LIVE, GameDay Morning, and more.

She's pretty cool- has like a Masters in Analytics from MIT.  Does predictions on games, signings etc for NFL Network.  Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, but she has some sort of statistical model she uses to make predictions and reactions.  I like her.  Doesn't hurt that she is an absolute smoke show

Idk why ppl are bashing Morse.

He has had a helluva 2 years here so far. He missed a few games, nothing serious,  came back n played at a high level still.

I love the message this sends to the rest of the league.  Morse was willing to deduct 2 mil instead of being released and likely testing FA and getting more. There'd definitely be a market for a 28 y/o very good - elite Center

    Agree this is great news-

We keep our very good center

We don't create another hole in the O Line

    Bills save cap room-

    wins all around

With that being said, the defenses around the NFL were hung out to dry this year with no time to gel. That is why I hate what the NFLPA arguing for not having any preseason work: the play on the field was, definitively, less than what we have come to expect from a defensive standpoint.

This doesn't make any sense to me- how were defenses less able to gel than offenses this offseason?

I thought the NFL and NFLPA did a remarkable job coming up with a plan and completing the season this year-- personally I thank them for it

  10. Josh Allen is playing great for sure.  However I never understand why fans root for QBs to get these obscene contracts- are you related to him?

The $30 million + contract will be a huge drain on the Bills resources for years.  It becomes hard to retain top talent with a bloated QB contract (see Rams, Eagles, Seahawks, etc.)

The longer the Bills can hold off paying Josh like this the better for the team- it's not personal it's just business.  Use the QB rookie deal window for as long as possible

  11. I live in AZ and have watched all the Cards games

    IMHO, here's what I think:

-They miss Kenyon Drake- the backup RB Edmunds is hit or miss

-The secondary is shaky- Baker and Peterson can play, but the others can be exploited

-They really miss Jones- LB crew is average

-OL seems decent- better than in recent years

-WRs are pretty good- Kirk and Isabella can fly.  Hopkins is still a handful and Larry the legend is clutch

Kyler Murray is a demon- he's hell on wheels when he runs.  Reminds me of Dark Helmet from SpaceBalls because he is so small with a huge helmet.  His legs and feet are so fast it's hard to see them move!   He will run the ball and get yards-

-Coaching is ok- I think Kingsbury has a couple of cool plays every game

-Defense can be outsmarted- I have seen them pushed around and also seen them thrown on

Should be a fun game- wish I could go!  Had tickets but then they limited fan attendance:(

  12. I don't imagine a trade would be in order for even a healthy Ertz

    1) We like our premium draft picks

    2) Guy is pretty expensive

    3) He has been publicly belly aching for a new deal- that won't stop with a trade

    4) He is already 30

    5) Cap # is uncertain next year- adding high $ players is not smart

    6) He has no Carolina Panther experience

EA is pathetic.  $120 a year to play the same game with updated rosters and new micro transactions that you can spend more of your hard earned money on.  They’ve merged their game pass with Microsoft’s game pass because they know their product can’t sell itself anymore.  NHL is garbage.  Battlefield, trash.  I truly believe that EA is still in business because of their monopoly on the NFL over the last 15 years.

the graphics have improved over the years, but the gameplay is so much worse than ever imo.  I’ll get it on GameFly every year, remake the Bills roster/rating because EA is so clueless, play a handful of game and mail it back within 2 weeks.

I agree with this- haven't purchased madden in a few years

I liked old PS2 Franchise mode- playing GM was fun!

The new console version of franchise mode stinks, and I am too old and disinterested to play online games with strangers

  14. Well it's a free country- if a dude wants to go to a ladies salon and have his nails cut, then he is free to do so

I guess if you have the time and money to spend on such things knock yourself out. If I have a free couple of hours on a random day, a nail salon is never going to be on my calendar

Nail clipper works pretty good for me, and has for 5 decades

WEO...it's not that he isn't reporting fact (at least in the article itself), people are reacting to the "sensational" headline not matching the facts of the article itself. Unfortunately, that is so called news/reporting these days (i.e. click bait). it's not just Tim...it's just the sad state of most reporting these days. Now in this case, it's not that big of a deal, but in a time where people only read headlines and then get triggered by them, I do think it is a bit disengenuous to sensationalize your headlines.

Tim's headline reads "Buffalo Bills' entire marketing department resigns..." When you read that headline, you think that, what, 10-30 disgruntled people walked out en masse. But, when you actually read the article, in fact, two people have resigned and maybe a third person will if his "sources" are correct. Sure, the titles of the three people seem like they were leaders in the department, but I don't know and he doesn't tell us. Tim also does not report on how many people total are in the marketing department. I mean, sure, if the department is 5 people total, then 3 people leaving is major. If the department is 20-30 people, then 3 people leaving is hardly the "entire" department. Let's say for instance that the department has 20 people (and it may be larger than that, I don't know), then 3 people leaving is 15% of the staff. That is equivalent to me writing an article about a company of 200 employees and my headline reads, "X Company's entire workforce resigns." But it turns out to be only 30 people of the 200. Thirty people leaving would be a significant story to report, but I would be misleading my readers by saying, in essence, the company has no  more employees. But Tim doesn't give us those facts to assess for ourselves.

Instead, he goes on to speculate how bad things must be because these employees are leaving during the pandemic. Well, what if the answer was like someone else said, that they no longer think sports is a stable place to work going into the future because of the pandemic (or a hundred other scenarios, they got hired away, they have child care issues, an ill family member, etc.). It could be for any reason. Yes, them leaving at the same time makes it seem like it could be something, an issue in the department or organization, but again there is nothing to back that up. He does not quote the former employees or anyone from inside PSE. So, how does he/we know what their reasons for leaving are?

I have no idea what is happening at PSE. It may be a sh%t show and these employees really did resign because they are supremely unhappy with how the organization is run. I'm not here to defend PSE. But, there is no question that Tim's headline seems completely sensationalized (either click-bait or agenda motivated) without him providing any more information than he did in the article.

    Good post-

Simply proof point 1034 why I have a complete lack of trust for most media-  just tell me what happened from an objective point of view- not what you think about it!

The way the league has handled the virus and their planning has been a downright joke. the fact that the league is too scared to come out and ban fans for the next season so they don't get backlash from their conservative fanbase is embarrassing.

How are some teams allowed to bring in fans but others aren't? How is that even remotely fair? Just ban fans all together until it is safe to do otherwise.

Is there even a plan for this? It is just a total mess right now. I don't see the league finishing this season with the way its going right now. players testing positive left and right in training camp, what happens when games start and teams are constantly traveling? There are way too many moving parts in football to get this done properly in this environment.

This is idiocy-you don't see the league finishing the season???  Total mess right now??

Why are people like you out there rooting for this to fail?

Regardless of pollical beliefs, the NFL is a multi billion dollar business- people depend on it

They are and should be doing everything possible to safely proceed with a season

For Pete's sake, if one player gets infected the whole team could get wiped out in one practice.  (By wiped out I mean quarantined, as these healthy dudes would probably be fine)

Is it really such an imposition on personal freedom to follow the damn rules??  If the rule is wear a mask in certain places, then wear it.  Then go home and do whatever you want
