  1. I say rest the starters, treat it as a bye week and don't even dress Watkins, McCoy, TT, Darius, Gilmore or Darby. Accept your bi-annual #ss pounding and focus on the rest of the games. History suggests (and the refs will make sure) that the Bills have no chance here. It's not worth the ulcer watching this thing.

No thanks- we have a punchers chance to win. We have huge games coming up against 3 teams right behind us (KC, Hou NYJ) Every game counts huge

  2. Sorry to say, but that was for sure a sack. Suh had 2 hands on Taylor and he wasn't going anywhere- that little flip shouldn't have counted and the whistle should have blown. For Pete's sake, Suh was looking at the ref to blow the whistle while he had him- he didn't want to slam him down and risk a penalty.

  3. I remember Preston Brown saying on the Murph show that they keep adding new defenses and lineups to learn each week. He wasn't complaining mind, you. It just seems to reinforce a lot of the missed assignments and confused play we are watching.

Hopefully in a few weeks the defense is mastered and our players execute it. Otherwise it may have to be simplified like last year- it is possible that the rest of the league has caught up with Rex's system and he need to change it

  4. I don't understand the question of why TT is ranked so much lower than the two rookie first rounders. In lieu of actually NFL game experience, the main criteria to evaluate them is probably their college careers and physical skills (i.e. height). In this case, TT, a former late round pick gets slotted behind the first rounders until he proves otherwise. Also, it's certainly more desirable to have a first round rookie aged 21/22 than a 5th year backup aged 26, as your unknown starter all things being equal. Just more potential upside.

  5. Just watched the first 10 minutes of Inside the NFL and it was all about this crap with the Patriots. Turn on the NFL network and it's Willie Mcginnist defending them. Turn on ESPN and it's Bruschi walking on water.

Every damn Total Access all summer had a reporter in New York yacking about this. Every. Single. Show.

I am tired of hearing about these cheating punks and hope we beat them silly this year

  6. OK- I'm over the embarrassment of the coach quitting and the weird Polian courting. Let's focus on the positive. If I'm Pegula:

    1) I've used all of these interviews to educate myself on Pro Football

    2) I've realized that whaever the Bills have been doing organizationally isn't working and needs to change

    3) I've invested a ton of money in this- I'll oversee it with the right experts running the show

    4) I"m removing just about every higher level person in the org and all the Wilson cronies

    New Org Chart

    Terry/Kim Pegula- President

Reporting to the President are 3 people

    1) Russ Brandon- VP of Operations

    -Sales

    -Stadium

    -Finance

    -Analystics dept. (ha!)

    etc

    2) Doug Whaley- General Manager

    -Player Acquistion

    -Scouting

    -Draft

    3) Mike Shanahan- Head Coach (will probably want a cooler title and ALOT of say on personnel)

-OC Kyle Shanahan. (Fine by me-has experience managing a pop gun offense- at this pop I'll take the pop gun)

-DC Jim Schwartz (Only way Shanny is hired is if he agrees to keep him, which he will)

  7. ezcept he's not a star RB and he's been given the opportunity to start on his own from the day he got here and can't distance himself from an often injured old man

I don't think that's quite true. CJ has started about 30 games the last 3 years. When healthy 2 years ago he started many games and ripped off a huge season. Taking FJax's job is easier said than done. Freddy is perhaps the most popular Bill, works hard, plays hard and can do it all. He's a team captain, and that's not because Spiller can't play. I am sure no one wants to compete for work time with the hardest working stud in the office, even he is "over the hill"

What's a RB worth?? Maybe a second rounder? At best? A trade like this can't make the Bills better.

  8. I can't see any logic for trading Spiller. He's been a consummate pro and good team ambassador since the day he arrived. He possesses elite talent. He hasn't complained like most star backs would about sharing time.

He was hurt last year don't forget!

People rooting for this trade are probably the same people who wanted Lynch trading out of town because he is a goofball, so we got a 4th rounder and a pack of bubble gum for him.

I know the Bills aren't big on overpaying for "non premium" positions (S, G, FB, RB) but this strikes me as flat out dumb.
