I am having a hard time thinking of successful QBs drafted in the 20s, beside Rogers. You either have to go up top 10 or get lucky and hit on an Andy Dalton or Carr type guy in a later round

Sorry to say, but that was for sure a sack. Suh had 2 hands on Taylor and he wasn't going anywhere- that little flip shouldn't have counted and the whistle should have blown. For Pete's sake, Suh was looking at the ref to blow the whistle while he had him- he didn't want to slam him down and risk a penalty.

I remember Preston Brown saying on the Murph show that they keep adding new defenses and lineups to learn each week. He wasn't complaining mind, you. It just seems to reinforce a lot of the missed assignments and confused play we are watching.
Hopefully in a few weeks the defense is mastered and our players execute it. Otherwise it may have to be simplified like last year- it is possible that the rest of the league has caught up with Rex's system and he need to change it

I still can't figure it out!
Sat in my chair, same Watkins Jersey. Wife daughter and son in their spots. Had my same drink. Hung the Bills flags. Had my yellow ref flag and red challenge flags in my pockets.

Save the weird and funny chants until the game is in hand please! I am already having nightmares about Dion Lewis saying "you know my name now Rex?" after the game

Heath did perfectly pick the Cardinals every game last year, and this year picked the Bills to be 11-5

I don't understand the question of why TT is ranked so much lower than the two rookie first rounders. In lieu of actually NFL game experience, the main criteria to evaluate them is probably their college careers and physical skills (i.e. height). In this case, TT, a former late round pick gets slotted behind the first rounders until he proves otherwise. Also, it's certainly more desirable to have a first round rookie aged 21/22 than a 5th year backup aged 26, as your unknown starter all things being equal. Just more potential upside.
-
This is what good teams do- they move vets at the end of their careers out and bring in younger, cheaper draft picks to take their spots. It sucks because it's the most popular Bill (and one less Jersey of a current player I own) but hopefully we are getting on track

Just watched the first 10 minutes of Inside the NFL and it was all about this crap with the Patriots. Turn on the NFL network and it's Willie Mcginnist defending them. Turn on ESPN and it's Bruschi walking on water.
Every damn Total Access all summer had a reporter in New York yacking about this. Every. Single. Show.
I am tired of hearing about these cheating punks and hope we beat them silly this year

If Karlos can perform as a rookie +/- 15% if what Fred could have done this year than we will be set. Lots of money tied up at the RB position- way more than most teams so the depth needs to work.

All I know is I won't be able to sleep Saturday night!

I've been telling all my Arizona homies that I think Rex is resting our studs and that he has zero interest in the preseason. Not sure if it's true or I'm choking on the koolaid! (again)
-
The negatives- (bad press, questions for everyone, possible lawsuit, front page bs) far outweigh the positives of signing a special teams player. Love me some Rex, but a grownup should have stepped in and not allowed him to buy this toy.

Thanks for the update! Should sticky these daily update threads to the top every day to skip over the junk threads!

I have a whole section of shame in my closet, including:
Lawyer Milloy
Willis Mcgahee
Travis Henry
and the #21 Spliller Jersey-- all in the ugly blue

Fletch, F. Letch.
Preach Brother!

Must mean that Manning told them he is done, and maybe Foxey doesn't want to rebuild. Can't blame the Broncos- they had a window and took a shot
-
Agreed- not sure Russ wouldn't want a better one to

OK- I'm over the embarrassment of the coach quitting and the weird Polian courting. Let's focus on the positive. If I'm Pegula:
1) I've used all of these interviews to educate myself on Pro Football
2) I've realized that whaever the Bills have been doing organizationally isn't working and needs to change
3) I've invested a ton of money in this- I'll oversee it with the right experts running the show
4) I"m removing just about every higher level person in the org and all the Wilson cronies
New Org Chart
Terry/Kim Pegula- President
Reporting to the President are 3 people
1) Russ Brandon- VP of Operations
-Sales
-Stadium
-Finance
-Analystics dept. (ha!)
etc
2) Doug Whaley- General Manager
-Player Acquistion
-Scouting
-Draft
3) Mike Shanahan- Head Coach (will probably want a cooler title and ALOT of say on personnel)
-OC Kyle Shanahan. (Fine by me-has experience managing a pop gun offense- at this pop I'll take the pop gun)
-DC Jim Schwartz (Only way Shanny is hired is if he agrees to keep him, which he will)

I was watching the game at a pub in Arizona and felt honest pride at all the Bills fans in the stands. Other people noticed and it was a helluva representation-
Cheers!

That's a shame- still it would have been a real shocker is the Bills somehow outsmarted the hole league and picked up a stud off the scrapheap:)

ezcept he's not a star RB and he's been given the opportunity to start on his own from the day he got here and can't distance himself from an often injured old man
I don't think that's quite true. CJ has started about 30 games the last 3 years. When healthy 2 years ago he started many games and ripped off a huge season. Taking FJax's job is easier said than done. Freddy is perhaps the most popular Bill, works hard, plays hard and can do it all. He's a team captain, and that's not because Spiller can't play. I am sure no one wants to compete for work time with the hardest working stud in the office, even he is "over the hill"
What's a RB worth?? Maybe a second rounder? At best? A trade like this can't make the Bills better.
-
I can't see any logic for trading Spiller. He's been a consummate pro and good team ambassador since the day he arrived. He possesses elite talent. He hasn't complained like most star backs would about sharing time.
He was hurt last year don't forget!
People rooting for this trade are probably the same people who wanted Lynch trading out of town because he is a goofball, so we got a 4th rounder and a pack of bubble gum for him.
I know the Bills aren't big on overpaying for "non premium" positions (S, G, FB, RB) but this strikes me as flat out dumb.

Last year people were predicting the Jets to be one of the worst teams in football.
Even with worse QB play than Buffalo and an awful run game, they still won 8 games.
Ryan can coach and that team can flat out play some defense. Until we prove otherwise, the Jets are a better team than Buffalo
In preparation for MNF, we need to R-E-L-A-X!

No thanks- we have a punchers chance to win. We have huge games coming up against 3 teams right behind us (KC, Hou NYJ) Every game counts huge
