  1. The risk vs. Reward. How can you deny fuel, power, etc. when it is so affordable to make people suffer. Last winter in Germany there were people without power and heat, and then water during winter. People froze to death. Businesses couldn't operate because of power loss. Entire communities had power turned off. These communities still rely on wood heat for their hot water and home heating Of their private homes. But the businesses they owned or worked couldn't be heated. Walking into a 55° supermarket was common. So at what price do you make things extreme to make less than 10% of a difference when China is increasing their carbon footprint by 6% a year? Yes. My Stihl and 2 Husqvarnas. I have them available to two crews if they're sent up. I cannot go. My wife is likely to be sent up as well. I also have a tractor I have made available with truck and trailer to be taken up.
  2. That's the difference between football speed and track speed. So many of these guys are track speedsters that in pads can't sustain. It's like taking a Corvette on the highway in rain. It doesn't do it's best but an 04 grand Cherokee will be more than fast enough. Football speed is not just speed. It's power.
  3. Clearly you can't take even a joke about how politics matters when it actually comes to boots on the ground. In times of crisis I guaran*****ingtee not one person stops to ask who someone voted for because that is when, for most people, true character shows. The people going up there without a doubt are across the board all sorts of things. Your claim that getting boots on the ground is impossible. No, it's not at all. The US government has access to technology beyond that of the smallest folks. That Elon musk found out from Trump associates where supplies are needed is incredible. These trump associates are community organizers on the ground who work with the campaign. They got word to him because they are in these communities. The starlink units are being sent to Greg Biffle, a NASCAR driver. He will be using his personal helicopter and other he owns with pilot friends to fly them in... Yet, FEMA is where exactly? Roy Cooper is unknown. The likely gov Josh Stein is campaigning at the coast. Mark Robinson is derping on a stump somewhere trying to salvage his campaign. Locals make a difference. I'm not angry. I'm just having 😊 I don't know who we is... When you say we are happy it happened. The state and feds are just inept. They waited too long. They took a community on the cusp of collapse that can hardly support itself, riddled with drug problems, poverty, and sent text messages to evacuate. After cell lines were down. No one predicted this, they say... Except th3 who said it was gonna happen cuz climate change.🤪 What you just said makes anyone who read it contemplate their own sanity.
  4. First ever president to make 100 years old. He has given so much of his time on earth to helping others. Congratulations and here is to another year. If you make this political you will get kicked in the nuts.
  5. and in case i wasn't clear, yeah... i 100% know a lot more going on about this than you do because i am here, have friends and know a lot of people involved in this. miles long of cars bumper to bumper at statesville and hickory airports to drop off anything. rigged parachutes to drop supplies in by any means necessary. watching any organization around gather water bottles and more to send up. having friends send us texts "hey, we're ok." having a friend send a video of a house floating by, her neighbors on top of it and never seen again... that's the stuff not making the news. that's the stuff ignored because the nazis in Ukraine want money, or Hamas/Hezbollah/the Cancer attacked Israel, or orangeman bad... how could republicans have changed the amount of polution in china? how could we have changed this result when we only discovered global warming climate change 30 years ago? seriously, you make yourself out to be the fool you are with such posts like this. go get on your soap box and preach...and when you're done jump off head first and spare us and humanity your stupidity. and don't forget to apologize to your parents for disappointing them. you're not even a real person. lol lol lol desantis recovered faster than pooper cooper.
  6. the feds are the state are the gov to me... the state and up aren't doing anything. damascus isn't western nc. there was a 100k race there this past weekend just fine. spare me your heavy d stuff. if you want to play partisan bs right now and think it's about politics it isn't. this is simply a failure by the state and feds. nc didn't do anything until it was late. the feds didn't start moving until monday morning. the locals are doing more than anyone. so spare me your seeing pictures, talking to people on the internet. this is one of the biggest failures since katrina. everyone made george bush own this. it's time your girl owns it. your heavy D... take it down your throat buddy.
  7. when it's all you can get it's all you can get. videos of skid steers driving down the road leading vehicle caravans, stopping to clear the way. backhoes and excavators taken from anywhere they can find them to move stuff. (and just for you)....i guess it'd be cooler if the government spent $8b to drop in some heavy equipment to do this stuff. get some military bridges. or how about that floating pier they used for the terrorists? maybe if Western NC denounced America they'd get Biden and the liberals attention...😂 we had a friend send a video from her porch during the storm... water a few feet away from her front porch and you just see an entire house float by with her neighbors sitting on the roof frozen in fear. she does not know their whereabouts. my wife is likely to be sent up for emergency assistance. she primarily handles small animals but is trained in emergency med, however she will be able to ferry in meds and supplies because we are just far enough away to be able to get items without issue.
  8. Fox example. Local official just called into a ham radio - county manager to just a guy on the radio - who said he has set up a row boat with an outboard motor on a rope to ferry people across a river. Has extra fuel. Manager worked with manager to get the guy to the river via ham radio. Yeah, ***** FEMA.
  9. The ***** the local agencies ain't doing that copter flying. https://m.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/43107 Listen to that 3-4 hours. That's local volunteers, including FD, Police, Radio. You can cross that with Rutherford co. Emergency services and the state band. The locals and folks with copters are going to Taylorsville, Statesville, other local air strips to pick up from cars bringing stuff from all over. Lines 2 hours long to drop off water, food, soap, hand sanitizer, aid... All by local officials. Not the pole smoking feds. Fema has not even begun yet. I live in North carolina and am surprisingly (to most ) active in a lot of goings on here. Believing a national hit piece story during an election cycle is stupidity 101. Yes, we should rely on our neighbors, even religious, to help out. One of the largest mosques in the area is doing a whole helluva more than FEMA. There is a big temple in the middle of no where up there being used for shelter. Religion doesn't matter when you can help thy neighbor. And you mocking billionaires for helping? They're doing a lot more than the soyboy idols you worships - gates, Baldwin, John legend, Swift... I am not fighting with you. Fighting would mean I have something to win or gain. A lion does not fight the fly. He merely entertains it a while until it finds a pile of ***** to sit on. Mk ultra sound waves being amplified by haarp in the comet pizza basement have been interfering with the Russian hacks on our voting networks!!!!111
  10. It's amazing how you can type words that make sense in structure but mean absolutely nothing when it comes to logic, thought, or clarity. It's an issue politics makes of ordinary things: ***** it up beyond all belief.
  11. Ok, so you're backing up now that it doesn't take a big operation like FEMA? That individuals are fully capable and more important to support their area? Because that's not what you just said. Logically, you just crossed yourself. The federal funding you are talking about was wildly inflated. It was talked about here in the state. It was going to be given out like candy. There was already infrastructure in place that simply throwing money at the problem was not needed. And project 2025 you can shove up your ass. Trump is not a part of that. And the Lincoln project is absolutely disgusting. So, since you seem as smart as a 3 yr old, I require this to continue giving you any time before I go to the gym: 1) is it FEMA and big gov or the local man and neighbors who should be helping to rush in there? You contradicted yourself. I need 2 paragraphs explaining this 2) the federal funds denied and withheld do not entail the full amount offered to the coast. Please disclose how much had already been given, how much was being given, and the items the additional amounts were being earmarked for... 3) don't disrupt a conversation with a goalpost shift talking about FEMA being dismantled when you just made an argument in your first point they're not as effective as a man driving down from Abingdon at Waffle House. 4) find in Trump's anything where he adopts project 2025. 5) apologize to your parents for disappointing them. See and this is how I know you're a puppet The information he posted is the goal of the DEI branch of FEMA which works as a part of FEMA but not FEMA itself. You didn't even bother to think of that because you lack intelligence. The DEI division/department is doing their job to keep their job. For whatever reason FEMA needs dei.
  12. still cute - trump has done more to help these people than kamala harris, sweetie. and i don't like him.
  13. He's a harbaugh. It's who they are. They're the worst people on earth.
  14. He will be a decent ILB or Sam when we need a 3rd but please never let us see him have to cover.
  15. He reminds me of Zach Moss who we couldn't use for beans. Until we utilize him in all schemes, including passing, we will waste him. He's a running back and we need to expect him to drop more than a few.
  16. hi. i live here. with regard to your kind words to **** off i respond: stop running your damn mouth. your "muh russia" doesn't mean a damn thing. time, money, logistics to supply ukraine have been taxed and overdone. we have spent and sent more there than any reasonable person should ever want. it does not take away what has been done. but what has been done cannot be burdened by the undone or whatever that ###### VP says... so going forward, we had a democratic lame duck gov. who has been nearly impossible to find in NC, a candidate running for gov who is our current AG not really doing anything but being quiet so he can win, and a dope running against him who can't even maintain a proper house.... you have private citizens going in their on their own helicopters, celebrities finding ways in, food drives every corner, and private charities and organizations already making headways. Samaritans Purse already has wheels on the ground with planes and more for the area while FEMA is concerned about quotas for their DEI. so, spare me your mouth running and stop or do something about the catastrophe. i'm lucky that it does not truly have any adverse problems for us here 60 miles away but like any time there is a tragedy trying to stand on some morale high ground doesn't work. hi new moron. maybe you should look at what he has already done in tragedy - sending a plane full of good to Hawaii after the fire and hours upon hours before government aid arrived. maybe you should just wait and see what he does or can do and stop opening your mouth (unless you go back to the truck stop because we know you have to make a living).
  17. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4402348,-82.2495433,3a,75y,123.8h,84.19t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sXXn_P0W7FryByAv8D8icdg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205409&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D if anyone is curious
  18. locals are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing showing exactly why locals are more important for governing than federal and even state. gps isn't working, batteries are dead, water is out all over but power in some places. stories we have heard and seen: humidifiers are being used to pull water, boil, and clean it than use it for safe drinking water. stations are being set up along walking paths out for care stations. yard sale style signs up in place of GPS - "drive 2.4 miles to Gum Tree Road, turn left." "drive 3 miles, turn right on Muscadine." 211 and national numbers are getting through to locals to have lists verifying names and survivors. walls, telephone poles, and more sharing survivors names and their destinations so people know where to find them businesses are destroyed but the few that are open - specifically grocery stores - are out of food. initially the stores were not letting anyone in until they were forced to by LEO which is also concerning locals have no idea how bad this is because they don't get to talk to anyone and it's brought on a lot of fear my brother and sister in laws parents took 8 hours to drive from asheville to charlotte - were trapped in their basement as trees crushed their house and water was up to their waist. houses on side of mountains slid down mountain, houses in valleys washed out mudslides are now a major factor and have shut down remaining roads.
  19. some notes from here. the national guard has set up a boundary - no one is allowed in around the mountains. this sounds great until you realize it is the hill people going to help themselves. if no one can get it than no one can get out. the people need help getting out and they cannot the pockets of communities that dot the valleys are entirely stranded and there are truly 1,000's of people missing. lawlessness and looting is happening just to survive places that are open but the problem is the lack of cash - no credit cards, no internet/cell. a friend from Old Fort, NC said the entire town is gone. the closest power, fuel, and food is 2 hours away. they were able to flee and got to michigan this morning at 4am. FEMA and other resources are not existent. There is no one there helping. no one can get in. the plane drops and helicopters just can't be getting to enough places to help people. local people with helicopters have been flying in and still work rescuing people but fuel is running low. nascar driver is flying his own chopper to help. response teams from all over being held off by national guard, including PD's and FD's. there is no one spearheading the ops. that's an issue. there is no command post on this. friends have been sharing testimony of bodies washed around, seeing people floating in raging waters, entire families in houses and trailers being swept away watching them standing in the windows. a mother and newborn child trapped upon a trailer. to make matters worse - rain and storms are starting to roll in. https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/ctid/1967 - one of the harder hit areas. still radio abuzz. i'm not here to tell you what could have been done. i'm not here to tell anyone screwed up. 11-13" of rain was predicted. 20+ inches fell. just found out a friend is alive - didn't think he'd be a casualty but had not heard from him / them. he and his girlfriend do whitewater rafting, climbing, mountaineering. he is doing as much as he can to help. hill country people are different.
  20. this stinks. i was just watching Convoy on Saturday. Rest easy Rubber duck.
  21. amazing the coverage is saying giving it all to Lamar Jackson who did not have a solid game. Two great passes then floating it over our very slow DB's while we stuffed the box on our heels waiting for Henry to run at us. Allen was not at all good which makes this more glaringly sad but Jackson didn't have a solid day. it's hilariously pathetic that this guy gets propped up like he does when he is a system manager who can run the ball.
  22. Allen didn't outplay Jackson at all but Jackson hasn't played an amazing game by any account. He has had 2 great throws. The rest were to wide open targets with no one of them. Floating it to targets, etc.
  23. Put trubisky in. I don't want Josh being cute and getting hurt.
  24. Insult to injury. Lol
  25. When do we realize McClappy is the problem?
