  1. valid point, but i already did some numbers on that, which shows a disparity between the Rams at their heyday and Bills. From 2000-04, the Rams lowest passing numbers were 3,061 (2003) and highest were 5,232 (2000). From 2000-04, Rams lowest rushing numbers were 1,405 (2002) and highest were 2,027 (2001) compare that to Bills during their early 1990s heyday: From 1989-93, Bills lowest passing numbers were 3,196 (1990) and highest were 3,871 (1991) From 1989-93, Bills lowest rushing numbers were 1,943 (1993) and highest were 2,436 (1992). yes, both teams utilized the pass to help set up the run, but my point is that the Rams under Martz did more passing than running, while the Bills were far far more balanced. to wit: using the same spans, the Rams had 2,865 pass attempts versus 1,934 rushes. the Bills had 2,601 pass attempts versus 2,615 rushes. jw
  2. hearing and knowing are two different things BMB so be careful. can confirm this ______________ has or will interview for the job. jw
  3. _______________ lives in a home, and drives some sort of vehicle. ______________ sleeps in a bed and has a television. from his front door, he can look up and see the sky. jw
  4. now, wait. you've gone to far. i've never reported he's a relative unknown or that he was a candidate for the Raiders' job. that, my friend, defeats the purpose of this speculative-free thread. i can report that ____________ has coaching experience, either at the college or NFL ranks, as a head coach or assistant. jw
  5. ugh! i was waiting for that. but consider my reasoning for leaving a blank line. if i put (fill in the blank), people 'round here would start wondering who "phil" is, or "blank," or "the," for that matter. so don't kill yourself on this one. jw
  6. well, keep in mind they need the "right" offensive mind to coach here in Buffalo, given the environment. does anyone think Mike Martz's pass-happy attack will work here in November or December? c'mon. would Drew Brees be as accomplished playing here in Buffalo as he is spending half the season in a dome? that's why i though BSchott fit. Grimm might, too. but to hire an offensive-minded coach for knee-jerk's sake doesn't make any sense. jw
  7. nah, they're too busy tweeting. jw
  8. unless _________ is in the booth. i can confirm ________ has arms. jw
  9. __________ also has either an offensive or defensive background. jw
  10. what valuable time. even if Leslie Frazier is the guy, or Grimm, or Garrett, they're all in the playoffs. the Bills can't hire them now until they're done. ... either way, they'll have to wait. jw
  11. Given all the bad speculation out there, I can safely and accurately report that the next Bills head coach will be: _________________
  12. Ralph Wilson has stated for the record he has no preference whether his new coach has an offensive or defensive background. jw
  13. Jason Peters finished 5th with 5 votes. jw
  14. coaching search comes first before everything else is determined. my question in regards to some of the draft picks is who had the final say on who was picked? i don't think it was Modrak. jw
  15. uhh, not really nuff said. Mr. Wilson expressed reservations to Marv Levy regarding Dick Jauron, and yet went along with Marv's decision in hiring him. jw
  16. for what it's worth, Buddy Nix is running the coaching search, and being given the responsibility to present the candidates HE chooses for approval. jw
  17. but what kind of car you drive? bmw, perhaps? jw
