  1. John, we have already established that I am an idiot that can't read. I miss read the article. Can I get on put probation for self deprecation?
  2. How about "Russian Jewlery" or "Youth in Asia"?
  3. I'm going to change my screen name to Emily Litella, "never mind".
  4. I completely read that wrong., my apologies. I thought Woods said "wasn't"not "was". I guess because I sceam "throw the ball down field" at my television every Sunday I expected to read "wasn't".
  5. I think you are probably right. Marrone could be gone if he loses out.
  6. John, read Sully's column from yesterday. It's not conjecture by Sully, both Woods and Whatkins clearly stated that throwing the ball down field was not in the game plan. Again, how is that possible? Your right about QBs being able to change the play, but if they do it continuously, I don't think that would bode well.
  7. I understand not being able to fix everything all at once. Guard and TE need to be a priority. Based on who was available and when Orton was a good pick up. A gamelan that does not include throwing down field is head scratching. Both Orton and Manuel have been vilified for not throwing down field and yet we have now learned, at least for one game it was not in the game plan. How is that possible?
  8. If I missed this being discussed else where, I appoligize. If there was not a conflict between Marrone and Whaley there should be now. Yesterday in Sully's article both Woods and Whatkins stated that throwing down field to the WRs in the Denver game was not in the game plan. So the plan was to not utilize a second round pick or a first rounder you traded up for. Think about that, arguably the two best play makers on the offense, whose jobs are to catch passes down field, not in the game plan. If I were Whaley I'd like an explanation.
  9. In Sully's column today, both Woods and Watkins state that throwing down field to WRs was not in the game plan. First round pick, traded up for and second round pick, let's not use them. Aren't these guys the two best play makers on the offense? Some will now make this about Orton and Manuel, but how is it that both these guys have the same issues? This is a timid offense without an identity.
  10. Was it just me or does anyone else think that Rex was sending a message in the Dolphins game? He refused to let Smith pass. It was like saying that Smith is not his guy, never was.
  11. As I read your post, I knew what was coming. Kim's cheap, somebody had to say it.
  12. Except that Fitz went to Harvard, I wasn't sure if any of you knew that, so I thought I would mention that Fitz went to Harvard. All of the the things Manuel was getting ripped for are the same issues that Orton is having, including that slide. When Manuel was playing there were a couple of plays that he stepped out of bounds when it looked like he could have made it. My point is I think coaching has these guys screwed up.
  13. I love that his first name is Nigel.
  14. Coaching, coaching, those are my thoughts. Sid Gillman and Bill Walsh, really? Who's RGIII or EJ had?
  15. (Sigh) Oh good lord.
  16. Nix taking Graham over Wilspn is the most obvious mistake, but how is that on Whaley? What is on Whaley is the complete mishandling of Manuel. Maybe Kolb was the best option, I don't think Fitz wanted to stay. However, and I've said this before, rookie HC, rookie OC, no QB coach, it's just idiotic. By Hackett's own admission it was a blunder. Tha being said the Sheppard for Hughs trade maybe one of the best trades of this young century. The trade that brought both EJ and Kiko, even if EJ is a bust, which I don't believe, is a pretty good move. Sammy trade? Looks like we gave up a mid first rounder for him, not bad. In the end I think Whaley has done more good than bad.
  17. I said the same thing, last week, in a different thread. They were supposed to be fast paced, they are not. What are they?
  18. Manuel and Orton have the same issues. Inability to see open receiver, inaccurate and can't produce in the red zone. Is it on them or Hackett?
  19. Kyle could have killed him, choose just to shove him.
  20. I'm shocked, I'd have said 2ypc. It does not change how I feel about Hackett.
  21. And yet with a ten year vet he has not gone back to it.
  22. Experianced coordinators are really important. Just look at what Schwartz has done with this D. The D is much better than last year. Hackett is in over his head. In the KC game and Miami game Orton had the same issues Manuel got benched for. Inaccurate, missing open receivers, inability to score TDs in red zone. Two coaches were brought in to help Hackett, but not much has changed. Can anyone explain the forth and one formation with Dixon as FB and Watkins at TB? Have they ever used that formation? What happened to the fast paced offense? These guys tried to make a raw rookie run the fast pace, but not a ten year veteran? I'm not saying they should run it, but what is their plan? What is this offense?
  23. This really made me laugh. We are never going to give it up with this guy. Happy Thanksgiving
