  1. blah, blah, blah. No QB Blahblahblahblah. No Lt Blahblahblahblah. Don't even leave the house today, chances are you are going to be disappointed with EVERYTHING! No need to reply Mr Negative.
  2. After the preseason sack he then drew a penalty for excessive celebration.
  3. The Poster spent a LOT of time writing all those negatives.....there must be some reward or gratification for 3 hours of typing.......'I told ya so' is enough for some.
  4. After reading such a well written and thorough thread, any reader will realize that this doom and gloom rhetoric is on EVERY thread at TBD. Tell us something we haven't heard. I'm going back to rearranging the letters on my #21 McGahee jersey to spell 'Spiller'
  5. Right on brother! This is the optimism and Passion that SHOULD be on the boards. We pack the stadiums, show up at the camps, teach our kids team history and should approach each season, ESPECIALLY this season with positive anticipation. I loved the verbage of "will NOT be swayed by the vultures hovering around what they believe is a dead venture in 2010" --THAT is exactly what some do on these boards. They convey doubt, gloom and hopelessness because of the past and past coaches.
  6. It just goes to show you. My thread has been up for a few hours and even though the thread title calls for excited and optimistic Bll Fans, the thread is peppered with grief, misery and doom. I think there may be no hope. I'm guessing in the coming years, the superbowl after party in downtown Buffalo will be attended by all these negative posters proclaiming 'all along I supported the Bills...through thick and thin' Back to your apocalyptic countdown calenders. Jackals!
  7. The owner is old and cheap... But manages to keep the team in Buffalo. The uniforms are ugly... But the throwbacks are awesome. The stadium is old... But serves as a 'Mecca' to those of us living aboad who see it only once a year. The cheerleaders are ugly... But we'd all sleep with them if they gave us a chance. The Toronto Morgue Experiment... Brings the team something in the area of $72 million Tom Modrak can't draft worth squat... Hopefully that changes with Nix at the helm. The Front Office can't Photoshop worth squat... You're really digging deep here. The Tim Horton mugs are cheap... but you religiously continue to steal them. President McKinley's assassination... put Buffalo in the History books. Bethlehem Steel closed down... happened years ago. The Love Canal... also happened years ago. See, you too can also start seeing things through other than doom and gloom spectacles. Other than complaining, these things are out of your locust of control. --Dare you to quit watching, reading, wearing and attending Buffalo Bills.
  8. I was in Djbouti, Africa last year and was suprised to see a Bills sticker on a beer cooler in Downtown Djbouti. I figured when T-shirts frrom the early 90's were prematurely printed reading "Buffalo Bills, Superbowl Champions" they were probably sent to a third world country in Africa thus inspiring a generation of African Bills fans.
  9. Hey...the pun police have detected pun in your comment. --None of that around here!!
  10. I read the forums and threads at Two Bills Drive and no matter what the topic is, posters routinely remind me how bad the Buffalo Bills are. I'm reminded of the fact that the Bills have no QB. --Trent sucks, Fitz is old, Brohm is a castoff and Levi Brown is not the answer. I'm reminded of how we screwed up and should have paid Peters or how he was the best LT who ever played the game before he was let go. I'm remnded of how bad Marv Levy shafted the team (the second time around) for the next 10 years and how Jauron was the devil. I'm reminded of how Lee Evans is overpaid and is not a true #1 WR. I'm reminded that Spiller has not played one down of NFL football and was a horrible draft pick. I'm reminded that Chan is not a big name coach and never had a job offer after he was fired by KC. Well, you know what. --I'm not buying the 'glass half empty' mentality. I'm a positive person and no matter what, the future always looks bright for me. Bright at home, at work and around one Bills Drive. I'm not stupid either!--- I know the team has problems, but bit**ing about it ALL THE TIME and finding fault with EVERYTHINHG is not going to do anything to make it different. ---People stick by Obama unconditionally because they voted for the guy and don't want to be associated with the mess were in. However, you call yourselves Bills fans yet knock the team, the owner the coaches and the players daily. ---I don't get it. Lets start some positive chat on this thread. All the pessimists can stay away and post elsewhere. We are only six weeks away from the Hall of Fame Bowl and about 11 weeks from the start of the 2010 season. Lets get excited!! I've been in the Military 18 years and live Buffalo Bills Football. --Sure, I get knocked, laughed at and spat on (not really, but it sounded good) but I always wear my colors with pride. I hate when they lose. It hurts. My Mondays are painful, but I stand by the colors through thick and thin. Unconditionally! This year, I DO have faith in the new regime and its' philosophy of more regimented practices. This year I am excited, to say the least, about Byrd, Spiller, Carrington and Easley. I'm pulling for Trent, hoping he gets his head right with a new offense but I'll root for whoever is behind center. I'm optimistic about the 3-4 even though I know there will be growing pains. So in closing. --Bills fans, stand up. Be proud. There are brighter days ahead of us. For those of you that have guff with the team and the players, don't taint or poison the spirits of the Billievers on every single thread, about every single topic. Lets type positively (at least on this thread) and allow the optimist fans to have a place to gather. Go Bills!
  11. I totally agree. However, I don't suspect any sooner than 2-3 years from now. From what I've read, Wailey has the pedigee to be GM and the youth to hang around for te next 15 years.
  12. -We have 4 QB's on our roster, -When we had a LT we weren't exatly winning games any more games than we were 'without one' . -Last year we had TO paired with Evans and were still one of the worst offenses in the NFL. -We managed to put a decent amount of pressure on opposing QB's hence the 28 INT's. -A major overhaul in the defensive front seven as well as changing to the 3-4 just occured. We don't know about our pass rush or ability to stop the run THIS YEAR. Quit being such a negative bandwagoner and start seeing the glass as half full instead of half empty. New coaches, new manager, new philosophy of defense, offense and THE MOST DYNAMIC ROOKIE OF THE ENTIRE NFL DRAFT IS NOW ON OUR ROSTER.........there is ALOT to be excited about!!!
  13. Gailey was on the grassy knoll all along. I knew it. This makes alot of sense and it's hard to believe that with all the 'sources from deep within the organization' that post on TBD, nobody ever thought of this theory. ---Don't call yourself goat just yet. Trent may in fact be the day 1 starter and Bohm will be waiting in the shadows for Trent to take an inevidible injury and then he'll step in, finish out the season and we release Trent at the end of the year. ---Brohm starting with Levi Brown continuing to be groomed for the future. I like it.
  14. I have never had gameday but this year I was seriously considering it. Even $315 makes sense to me. I live in Vegas, so here's how a typical Sunday goes..... 9am arrive at the local bar and grab breakfast and coffee. $7.00 10am game starts and I have my first Bloody Mary $4.00 10:15am Second Bloody Mary $4.00 11:30am halftime. I Get a free beer for Throwing $40 into bartop video poker game 12:00 order another beer for $5.00 (20oz) 1:00pm Bills lose, I'm angry.....Shot of Jager (on the house) 1:00pm Second set of games come on. ---Beer time again $5.00 1:30pm Fantasy football team is looking horrible again....another beer $5.00 2:00pm Tired of 'paying for beer' so I'll drop another $20 or $40 into the bartop poker machine for a free beer. 3.00pm getting hungry again....Burger. $6.00 3:30 pm, last beer.....on the house (bartender is 'tip-hunting') 4:00 pm game ends, The Bill is Nearly $40 and I leave a $15 tip cuz I'm a regular. Also dropped $70-$80 in the video poker machine. I just spend anywhere between $120-$150, and this is only week one!!! Yeah, for me, I'll pay the $315 for NFL Gameday.
  15. I may actually buy this, turn it upside down and attach it to my face like a masquerade mask. ---I can drink from my flask through one of the holes.
  16. "With single coverage he usually shuts down the best receiver on the opposing team. His ability to do that certainly has a positive impact on the defense" I guess on the positive side of things, they will pay a pCB Millions of dollars a game to shut down a WR that is ALSO getting paid millions of dollars a game. --When that CB plays the Bills, he may be assigned to cover a Seventh round WR that we are only paying a few hundred thousand dollars a year. This equates to how Reagon broke the bank of the Soviet Union which in turn lead to their demise.
  17. I'm glad you brought up "grinding it out in cold weather" however I see it a bit differently. --A team would 'grind it out' with a Jamal Lewis or a Brandon Jacobs type back with cold slippery conditions ALWAYS favoring the offense. Lineman, LB's and DB's cannot react quick enough or get the proper footing to tackle average caliber or largeer RB's yet alone a speedster, elusive 'waterbug' like Spiller. Spiller's atheleticism and elusiveness in slippery conditions may in fact be his biggest asset to the team come December-January. Just my thoughts.
  18. "Tom Brady has a wife and kid to chase around instead of living and breathing football" These are the types of guys I get to play fantasy football with in my league....they suck!
  19. Lets hope the Jets pull a 2009 Titans crash. --In 2008 the Titans were solid on defense, had a QB (Collins) that simply managed the game and was not forced to 'do too much' while they ran the ball with an outstanding running game. We saw how they faltered in 2009 and only strung together a decent second half of the season to break even. Man, this has really got me thinking. --Teams like San Fran, Cincy, Texans and Arizona were all bottom dwellers for years. Then BAM! - A few solid drafts, changes in coaching or finding some diamond in the rough player and the teams melded, stringing together some sdecent wins as well as some upsets. The aforementioned teams are all now 'projected to' or recently 'actually did' make some noise in the NFL. An extra win here or there and these Teams along with Buffalo could all be playing in the post season. --Why not it be 'our' team, our turn? I'm sure the New England boards are whining about Mankins, Brady and the problems their team is faced with. Every team has fans that will scruitinize the front office and the players that aren't living up to expctations. I honestly like the 'Culture' that Gailey and Nix are establishing in Buffalo and I like the high motor type of players we have brought in via the draft. This 'culture' the coaches are selling is not a fad or a gimmick, it is a work ethic and a standard that the players have already demonstrated in college and from the sounds of it, have bought into it at a Pro level thus far. ---I've been in the Military for 18 years and I can tell everyone this....I'd rather take the hard working team player than the flashy fast burner who whooos everyone with occasional flashes of brilliance. I can get alot more out of the consistant cerebral guy that the one who is only in it for himself. Good post Dr K. - Thanks and Go Bills!
