    Chicago Bears get: Josh Allen

    Buffalo Bills get: #1, #9, 2025 1st and 2nd

If not, what would it take? Everybody’s got a price!

any team that gets josh....is never picking in the Top 10 again.....for real

if Josh was off the bills....we'd be lucky to win 6 games

so, the only premium pick is this years #1 & maybe #9

NONE of these QB's will be as good as josh....the only advantage is resetting the $45-50 mil QB cap market

i'm NOT doing it for two 1st's and 2 seconds.

what's my price ??......call me when it's five 1st's and five 2nd's

  2. Belichick is a control freak......

easy for an owner to reluctantly put up with his arrogance when he is winning as evidenced by N.E. making it to the AFC Championship game 13 times from 2001-2018.

as soon as the winning stops....out the door......then kraft happily sabotaging his future

McClappity isn't on that level and likely never will be

Not sure if true or not.  I was guessing 50 yard line seats would be at $10K for a PSL but this wouldn't surprise me

i have a friend who sits in lower bowl , 50 yard line, with 1965 seniority.

he has NOT been called for his experience appt yet

so i highly doubt anyone else from the lower bowl has been called

This is what I have been saying.  The last 20 years, only one SB team had a WR1 taken in the top 15 picks.  There has never been any team in NFL history to make a huge investment to acquire a WR via trading for a proven one or trading up to draft one and win a SB.  There isn't even a team who signed an expensive one in FA that won a SB.

Making a large investment in a WR via draft picks or free agency spending has a 0% success rate...aka 100% fail rate...in taking a team and getting them over the hump to win a Super Bowl.

Look at what Miami paid for Tyreek Hill who has been arguably the best WR in the NFL (him or Jefferson) the past 2 years and Miami can't even win their division with a 4 game lead late in the season and has 0 playoff wins.  Or look at Raiders an Davante Adams.  Even NE when they had Moss actually LOST in the Super Bowl, although they didn't invest a lot to get him.

Now go look at the top 5 WR's in the NFL...more often than not, they are not on teams in the Super Bowl, let alone winning it.

This board has had an unhealthy obsession with WR as if not having the best WR's is the reason we lose.  We lost in 2020 because we were the worst team on the field in that game.  We lost in 2021 because of our defense.  We lost in 2022 because we got dominated in the trenches and couldn't run the ball in bad elements.  We lost in 2023 because we had no Linebackers and KC abused that mismatch and we couldn't even get Mahomes dirty.

We have never been eliminated because we didn't have enough weapons.  Our stable of weapons the last 4 years is better than a lot of Super Bowl winning teams offensive stables.  We had a top 5, arguably top 3, WR for the past 4 seasons and we have lost in the 2nd round 3 straight seasons.

I mean, I want a WR early in this draft too, we all do.  But this notion we must mortgage the farm to go get one has 0 examples of ever working and weakens a cap strapped team from building the overall roster.  I mean next year, we have a first and 2 seconds to keep adding more ammo to this team, and people want to give it away like sticks of gum.  Not to mention, this is maybe the best WR draft in history, even less need to make a major move.

    agree

investing heavily in WR is not a proven recipe for a super bowl win

the current Bills team is in Cap jail. we can't afford to trade and pay top dollar for a free agent at any position.

the bills need to keep and save their premium first and second round draft picks this year and next to fill several holes WR1, Edge, Safety, Center.

makes no sense to bundle all those premium draft picks to move up into this years top 10 for a WR1. minor moves using our 4th, 5th or 6th round picks is fine.

  5.  he wants more money than what we were paying diggs

i dont see us landing any big fishes in free agency because we dont have the cap space

which is why we will hang on to both this years a next years first and second round picks.

any trade ups will be minor using 4th, 5th or 6th round picks

Many of you are missing what the law intends to do. It's to crack down on average joes who are STH who sell most their tickets. Nothing to do with profit or keeping it under $5000.

If Terry is going after Sabres STH what makes you think he won't do it after the PSLs are sold.

you may be right....but i just provided a link from NYS dept of State saying the opposite. A license is not needed for selling tickets originally bought for personal use.

what proof do have, please provide a link.....do you know any sabre STH who is an average joe who was targeted by the sabres  ?

The regular Joes who "cracked the code" on how to afford season tickets without dropping thousands they don't have every year. Not to make a profit but to get back enough for next year's tickets. We can't have that, can we.

    REGULAR JOES vs BROKERS ?

for me, there is a big difference between a STH who has 2,4,6,8, 10 tickets originally bought for personal use vs a broker who might be re-selling hundreds.

they should be treated differently when it comes to this NY STATE BROKERS LICENCE requirement the Sabres have recently enacted on some of their STH's.

the more i dig into this issue, the more i think that may already be the case ??

  8. In 2011, the NFL adopted Resolution G-4, which states as follows:

    (snipet)

That if PSLs are sold (whether by the applicable club, its affiliated stadium entity, a municipal authority or otherwise) with respect to a particular stadium construction project, such PSLs shall be entirely dedicated to the project costs in respect of such project and shall be eligible for an exemption from sharing in accordance with current policies.

That crack down came from NY state. It wasn't up to the Sabres. I have a feeling it's just the beginning. I'm sure they will implement it for all NY teams.

whoever is responsible for the crackdown......it's highly likely it will eventually effect bills STH's

Sports teams need brokers and resellers to insulate franchises from large swings in ticket sales during down years.

    makes perfect sense

except the sabres seem to be in another down year.....and yet they are purging resellers

It’s not hiding anything. It is done that way to avoid revenue sharing. The PSL offsets a portion of Pegula’s cost to build the new stadium. It’s the cost of entry if you want to be in. It’s not uncommon at all. The areas yet to be released will come with lower price tags.

Are you going to get your money back out on the PSL? No. Maybe if you can buy those lower level clubs at midfield, that’ll keep some of its value. Ticket brokers could be interested in that because they can get a ton of money of a per ticket basis there. That’s the only place that will somewhat hold its value. No one is buying a PSL as an investment though.

bills will be cracking down on ticket brokers/ frequent nfl ticket exchange listers....just like they recently did with sabres STH

anyone who thinks they will buy tix in the new stadium only to resell most of them are in for rude awakening

buy a NY State Brokers License or not be able to buy tickets....which may lead to losing your PSL

The only trade a team would possibly due is the 1st scenario you listed.

Again, going beyond 1 year isn't super common (unless a team massively covets a player).

I know you're joking but the value changes completely looking beyond 1+ years.

Just passing along info that is widely available and actually was used in the Vikings /Texans trade recently

Half as much is pretty darn close...it's actually worth a bit less than half, based on trade value charts

     i'm not joking

after several years of you and i trading like this....you will wind up with the first pick in the draft.....and it will be mine

  15. 7 minutes ago, Logic said:

"Half as much" is not accurate, but it is true that in the context of trading draft picks, they lose one round of value for each year into the future that they are. So a 2025 2nd is equivalent in value to a 2024 3rd, and a 2026 2nd is equivalent in value to a 2024 4th.

Now, this formula only speaks to the value of picks in relation to their use in trades. If you look at any draft trade chart, be it Jimmy Johnson's or Rich Hill's, you'll see that this is true.

That said, even if we consider the pick to be of 3rd round value, it STILL seems like a good return for a 30 year old WR on what has become a one-year deal. One need look no further than the compensation given up for Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Diontae Johnson, etc -- not to mention the comparative compensation given up for guys at other positions like Sneed and Burns -- to see that Beane did quite well.

All of that said, there's a pretty good chance the pick winds up being a high one next year. Assuming the Vikings have a losing record -- not a crazy assumption if they start a rookie or Sam Darnold -- we could be looking at something like the 38th to 45th pick in the draft!

i will glady trade you my 2025 3rd round pick for your 2027 1st round pick

    i have two 2024 4th round picks.....i will trade both of them for your 2026 2nd & your 2027 1st
