  1. UPDATED: $19,408,017.00 current available cap space. BAD NEWS....most of it is going to be used up next year with the players we already have. NAME - 2013 Cap - projected 2014 CAP Mario - $12.4 - $18.4 Stevie - $5.6 - $8.5 Kyle - $5.9 - $5.8 Marcell - $5.5 - $6.5 CJ - $3.7 - $4.2 Freddy - $3.7 - $3.7 Eric Wood - $5.0 - $5.3 Leodis - $3.0 - $4.2 Pears - $2.8 - $3.5 Urbik - $2.8 - $3.3 Fitz - $3.0 - $7.0 (dead money) TOTAL - $56.1 - $73.4
  2. UPDATE: Cap Space is now $19,408,017.00 https://www.nflplayers.com/reports/RunPublicReport.aspx?report=top51 it may have gone down due to the structuring of Eric Wood's new deal
  3. folks keep asking "why are they sitting on over $22 million in cap space" #1- because $19 million of it will be used up by their core players in scheduled increases if they do nothing. #2- they will still need to set aside around $5 million to sign their rookies for 2014. #3- Mario Williams deal is NOT getting restructured. the soonest he will get cut is after 2015 ($7 mil of dead money). #4- the "rollover" money is uncertain and more of a one time thing. we will have some again in 2014 but may not have any in 2015. #5- then you have your own Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA) after this season like: Scott Chandler, Alex Carrington, Moats, Branch, Choice, Legursky. #6- might need to make more room if we sign Byrd long term. #7- will they create more cap space by cutting some players ? absolutely (Kolb, Brad Smith) we are just not in as great a Cap Space position as it looks.
  4. if Mario plays thru next year (2014) on this current contract and he is cut at the end of 2014 (his third season with the bills) you will have $12.4 million in DEAD MONEY to spread out over the 2015 & 2016 seasons.
  5. if Mario says no to a restructure and you cut Mario after this season, you will have $17.8 million worth of DEAD MONEY to spread out over the 2014 & 2015 seasons.
  6. The NFL has sent a loud message to Ndamukong Suh about his extracurricular activities on the field. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000242024/article/ndamukong-suh-fined-100k-for-illegal-block-on-sunday
  7. $22,846,458.00 current available cap space. EDIT UPDATE: now $19,408,017.00 current available cap space (as of 9/11) BAD NEWS....all of it is going to be used up next year with the players we already have. NAME - 2013 Cap - projected 2014 CAP Mario - $12.4 - $18.4 Stevie - $5.6 - $8.5 Kyle - $5.9 - $5.8 Marcell - $5.5 - $6.5 CJ - $3.7 - $4.2 Freddy - $3.7 - $3.7 Eric Wood - $3.3 - $5.3 Leodis - $3.0 - $4.2 Pears - $2.8 - $3.5 Urbik - $2.8 - $3.3 Fitz - $3.0 - $7.0 (dead money) TOTAL - $54.4 - $73.4 http://www.sportscity.com/nfl/salaries/buffalo-bills-salaries/
  8. The Buffalo Bills remain the area's most-watched TV show by a huge margin and naturally their 23-21 loss to the New England Patriots in the final seconds Sunday had Western New Yorkers on the edge of their seats. The game had a 33.6 rating on Channel 4, the local CBS affililate. It hit a peak of 40.9 during the Pats' final drive and had a 70 share at that point. Those figures mean 40.9 percent of area households were tuned in and that 70 percent of people watching some TV programming at the end were tuned into the game. Super Bowls around here generally get in the 40 to 50 ratings range so you can see how fantastic the finish was at least in terms of ratings. The most popular prime time entertainment programs in Western New York get ratings in the high teens. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/talkintv/2013/09/bills-have-fantastic-finish-in-ratings-anyway.html
  9. Bills' Fred Jackson might cut into C.J. Spiller's touches Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett had planned on feeding C.J. Spiller this season until the running back "throws up," but during Week 1 Fred Jackson did a good amount of eating. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000241881/article/bills-fred-jackson-might-cut-into-cj-spillers-touches
  10. and what if this scenario plays out.... Byrd is not 100% this season until after the BYE week. then he plays the final 5 games to show everyone he is healthy. the bills tag him again next year to protect their investment. same scenario plays out, no trade or long term deal happens before the start of next season. Byrd's plantar faciitis flares up again and he misses more games to start next season.
  11. fast and furious
  12. Levitre led his team to an upset victory over the 7.5 point favored Pittsburgh Steelers (without him they would have lost). LG Colin Brown had a very difficult day, as he graded out poorly and finished at -7.8 and was just as bad as a run blocker (-4.9) as he was in pass protection (-3.2) he was the primary reason his team lost. I thought I heard the field microphones pick up spiller lamenting he misses Levitre. seriously though, Tennessee played alot of the game in a 3 tight end formation. they rushed 42 times vs 20 pass attempts. pit overloaded the box. I do not know how andy played individually. I did watch Colin Brown all through preseason and this new England game and we have reason to worry.
  13. not sure where it went, but there was a proposed trade discussion thread involving... would you trade Byrd straight up with Detroit for Ndamukong Suh ? I just saw Suh's recent controversial block and there is no way he will be suspended. fined based on past behavior maybe. anyways, I would make that trade.
  14. Chip Kelley's offense is working... hope he scores 60
  15. JUST A FEW QUESTIONS... will you ALL be wearing Bills colors ? do you share your food & drinks ? will you be carrying any weapons ? what kind of car will you be driving ?
  16. i'm only speaking about the one year franchise tag contract. I don't want to get off in another area, but i'm assuming the contracts just signed by veteran players like hughes, Lawson and even Eric Wood could be re-negotiated at any time. rookie contracts can't be re negotiated until they are in the last year. so players like russell wilson have to wait.
  17. Sources said the Bills sought further clarity from the NFL about his status, inquiring as to whether, if he were traded, if a new team could possibly alter his contract. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/23540901/bills-disgruntled-safety-jarius-byrd-would-welcome-trade
  18. it is not known what they wanted to alter. who knows, maybe they were willing to put in the no franchise tag next year clause just to get him on the field. they were simply told NO ALTERATIONS to his contract.
  19. the CBA is mute on "talking". everybody can talk all they want. what is clear is that there are zero changes allowed to his current one year deal. no extension, no words altered, no changes until the season is over.
  20. that's not what the bills inquired about....they asked if his contract could be ALTERED. Sources said the Bills sought further clarity from the NFL about his status, inquiring as to whether, if he were traded, if a new team could possibly alter his contract. The word back from the NFL Management Council was as expected. As a franchise player, no changes to Byrd's contract could be made by any team after the July 15 deadline to extend the contract of a franchise player. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/23540901/bills-disgruntled-safety-jarius-byrd-would-welcome-trade
  21. someone call Russ Salvatore
  22. "Im just waiting on my feet honestly, Byrd said Monday. Whenever they get ready or get right thats when Ill be out there. I've got to be 100 percent to go out there and get ready to go. Once it's ready to go I'll be the first one to say I'm ready to go and get back in there." http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/09/09/feet-have-byrd-playing-waiting-game/ now he needs to be 100% healthy.....that should happen around the BYE week in november.
  23. how many tickets remain ?
