  1. To me, Trent Edwards appears to be an ideal fit in the West Coast Offense. If he is going to be our QB of the future, why not have a West Coast Offensive philosophy? After all, that is what he ran in college and Bill Walsh gave Trent Edwards the big thumbs up. I see no reason not to employ it
  2. obvisouly people have way too much time on their hands or don't know football.....can you believe people are talking about cutting this kid based on one play???????? or benching him????? ...wow!!!!!!....people we are talking about one play in the first preseason game!!!!!........how about you talent scouts do this....dvr the game and then go back and watch every series for each individual lineman.....and then report your findings...instead of just running with one play
  3. trade for a guard???? or dime back???? please tell me you are joking
  4. How do we know that Wood is better than Levitre????? My goodness, we haven't even waited until Sunday evening to make these judgements.....let's just give it some time ppl...for all we know , Livitre could end up being better.......and if u think I am crazy, then let me ask u this.....who would u rather have on your team Hardy (2nd rounder) or Johnson (7th rounder).....last year we would have been crazy to ask such a question but this year, I bet the majority would rather have Johnson
  5. Reed is one of the better slot receivers in this league. There is no reason to put him on the trading block. The guy knows how to get open. With all the attention owens and evans are going to get Reed is going to have the season of his career; especially given the fact he is entering a contract year...He is NOT underpaid.....lets just hold the line...no need to trade anyone....Hardy may not be around anymore anyway...and by the way dont forget that the bills are going to be doing alot of 4 wr looks this year
  6. Trent Edwards has far more arm strength then Chad Pennington.....I don't know who has those concerns about his arm strength....ppl to often confuse conservative play for lack of arm strength....Trent can make every throw on the field....I would rate his arm as adequate.
  7. I dont know why people dog out Bryan Scott. Pro bowler no, solid player?...absolutely....Ko Simpson will battle it out with Wilson.....one of the two will be cut....I also don't know why people are so down on Fine at Tight End....the few reps he got last year, I saw some good things from him...adequate blocker....decent route running and good separation (for a tight end)...this kid will certainly win the starting job this year and he is going to be put up solid numbers.....I like schouman in as a second tight end....he has very reliable hands and is probably the best blocker of the three tight ends....this will give the rookie Nelson time to develop and bulk up...... also, bills will NOT keep 7 wr's on the roster...that would be crazy.....watch for Jenkins to be cut leaving the 6wr's in order to be: Evans, Owens, Reed, Parrish, Johnson & Hardy and while talking about Parrish, let me say this.....he is not a great slot receiver...lets put this to rest ....how many times was he thrown to in the middle of the field and he didn't make the catch because the DB was too physical and bumped him off the route, got to the ball before him etc......he would be wonderful on bubble screens and end arounds...as long as the opposing D doesnt catch on to it.....Reed is much more effective in the slot....I knows how to find the soft spot in the zone...he is great with the ball in hands...he is a great 3rd down receiver.....remember him during this rookie year?...thats what I expect to see out of him James Hardy hasn't shown much but keep in mind ...the second best Bills receiver of all time didn't hit his stride until his 3rd year (Eric Moulds)...I think Hardy should only be in the game in goal line situations....
  8. Dazed and Confused thanks for the great post earlier...very informative
  9. Chris Kelsay at OLB.......what a great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!...then we can slide Stroud over to end and move Brian Moorman over at the three technique....this is the kind of post u get when ppl have too much time on their hands
  10. these are the type of answers you get when people don't know what they are talking about
  11. THANKS FOR POSTING THAT CLIP............man, I still remember watching that game as a high school kid.....now I remember why I became a Bills fan....even Metzellars was nasty.....if u compare the team on this clip to our Bills right now....offensively speaking, that team is better than our current team in EVERY category......Go Bills
  12. The point that Vick was an average QB at best is crazy. So many ppl want to treat him like he is 2nd or 3rd stringer or even a rb or wr. Let me tell you this. If I had a chance to add a playoff winning qb, with a cannon arm, top notch scrambling skills, former 1st overall pick under the age of 30. I would not pass up on that. Can you imagine how good Vick would look in that Dolphin offense? By the way, thanks for only taking part of my post and trying to make an argument.
  13. You are people are crazy. You are so big on Trent Edwards but then you go trash Vick. If Vick is a guy who can run with poor passing skills and is a backup at best then what the hell is trent? How many times did Vick win football games? Did he not make the playoffs? If I am not mistaken, he may have even made an nfc championship game? He probably made the pro bowl as well. All of you stat geeks out there need to take off those big glasses and understand that there is more to the position than stats. I am not saying Vick is a great QB and I am a Trent Edwards fan myself but if I had a choice between Edwards right now and Vick before he went to jail, there is no way in the world I would take Trent Edwards. The man has paid his debt.....(to much of a debt if u ask me)...let him go on with his life
  14. Marshawn Lynch is argubly the best player on the team........I like Fred Jackson as much as the next guy but you are crazy to think he should be the starter over Lynch......and I don't care what the circumstances are.....I like how the Bills rotated the two last year and they should stick with it......Rhodes is strictly insurance.....I dont know how good his hands are his blitz pick up but if they are good maybe he can get some run as a 3rd down back
  15. I became a bills fan during that year of that first super bowl and been a fan ever since.....so in my eyes...those 90 teams were loaded with talent and great football teams......I just thought that their secondary was the weak link
  16. good poll question by the way This is tough.....they both were very similiar....I think JP had more natural gifts than RJ......JP had the stronger arm, quicker feet but his accuracy.......I think RJ had slightly better accuracy .......both of their pocket presence was dreadful....I think I would go with RJ for two reasons.....for one, like the other guy said, RJ left that playoff game a winner and for two...for all the bone head plays that both of them made, it seems to me that JP mad more bone head game costing plays than RJ
  17. WOW what a great pick we drafted another Wide Receiver.....OOOOPPSS!!!! I mean tight end....just looking at this guy, there is no way he develops into a semi decent blocker.......I always was big on Derek Fine and I think he is your starter...with Schouman playing 2nd TE and some FB
  18. LT Walker LG Wood C Hargartner RG Butler RT Chambers (Livitre & Bell will compete)
  19. this is absolute nonsense.....Butler the best player on the line for 2 years????? Last year it was Langston Walker and the year before that it was Jason Peters
  20. if we gonna start knocking some of these players lets back it up with a reason aleast....I am not to crazy about kyle williams because I feel like he gets blown off the line too much......I am not out buying bryan scott jersey's but I am just saying I am not screaming because the guy gave up huge plays or anything....
  21. whats wrong with bryan scott???? I thought he made plays and is a steady starting quality safety
  22. Let's look at it this way.....when that 11th pick came around I am sure we ALL wanted a DE.....we got a DE.....when that 28th pick came around, we all wanted a quality OL.....we got a solid center.......so for the first round you have to give them a B+.....2nd round...that is really really confusing drafting a 4.7 running CB....and I dont care about this FS crap....so 2nd round I give them a D
