  1. I'd pass on Faneca. I see this team having several plays like screens, swing passes, toss sweeps, etc. in the playbook for next year to capitalize on the current talent and lack thereof. Don't see Faneca being a guy that play after play will be able to keep up with down field blocking like the younger beasts we have now.
  2. WOW! I didn't realize that Flozell has started every game he's played in for the past 10 years!! Dude's solid....
  3. Definitely! Especially now that DirecTv is willing to negotiate the price down if you threaten to cancel subscription.
  4. Now that we can see what direction Nix and crew took on draft picks, which veteran UFA do you think would make the biggest impact for the team next year? Should it be offense or defense? Which player and why?
  5. He didn't have to fix it in college. They were winning and college coaches are not going to mess with what's working. If it wasn't broke for them, why fix it? College coaches are not always looking out for what is best for the kids pro opportunities.....priority #1 is WIN!
  6. Randy Quaid is awesome!! Luv that movie. As for TE....damaged goods.
  7. "How does Henne throw the ball that far? I mean really....did you see it? That must have been at least 20 yards!!!"
  8. I was laughing at the Bills during the game too. It was so pitiful that I actually started feeling sorry for the guys on the field, but that quickly faded to wishing the team to get blown out of games for as long as it takes to get the whole damn staff fired. Bottom line, this organization WILL NOT put a winner on field again until Mr. Wilson dies. Sad, but true.
  9. Captain check down even forcing the short throw to a blanketed receiver.
  10. Can't ask anything more out of our D!! C'mon AVP....dial something up dude.
  11. How does the potential weather forecast play into the game plan and success of the NO offense? IF we see showers with 15mph winds it could swing this more towards a ground game, no?
  12. I saw the same thing and agree that he looked almost gassed on a few plays. Again, in a hurry up offense, how do you start to substitute players without giving the same opportunity to the defense thereby negating any advantage in running hurry up? It's no longer a hurry up offense.
  13. Considering we are running the hurry up offense, do we have time to start substituting offensive players without giving the defense the same chance to bring in fresh players? Seems that the advantage of wearing down the defense is negated when given equal opportunity to substitute. Am I missing something?
  14. Trent took a sack or two that he had plenty of time to throw the ball away and could clearly see the sack coming....lost a couple points there. He should not be trying to deliver a blow to a DB when he does take off out of the pocket...run out of bounds or slide dummy! He's gonna get himself seriously hurt. I've seen him take hits in both of the first two games that a smarter QB would have avoided. Lastly, he clearly put too much air under the ball on passes to LE. BUT, if TO catches that beautifully placed pass on the sidelines, Trent has 300 yards and 2-3 TD's. Can't complain too much about his performance these last two weeks. Kids got heart and wants to win!!!
  15. Agreed, but is it not the offense's job to move the ball down the field, eat the clock and score points? It's called balance, of which we had none. time of possession was horrendous.
  16. The O needs to control the ball for much more of the clock otherwise our defense will be decimated by mid-season. You just can't put that many plays on a defense game in and game out and not expect to see a bunch of injuries.....and extreme fatigue. I'm encouraged by what we saw by our offense compared to what I expected. Eliminate drive stopping penalties and we will put many more points on the board and rest our D in the process.
  17. They are all brushing their teeth with TB's weiner.
  18. bell is costing us momentum on drives....flashes of adequacy with steady doses of dumb sh--.
