Update from 7 PM: 5 passengers killed, no kids. 2 people in surgery. Driver not impaired. No mechanical failure with bus. No other vehicles involved. Injured people were taken to ECMC, Millard Fillmore Suburban, Buff General, Children's, and Strong Memorial.

At least 24 people taken to ECMC, Statuses unknown.

Per WGR TV - 4 people choppered to Children's, 1 to ECMC and 1 to Strong (Roch.). Was a tour bus from NYC that went to NF and was on the way back to NY. Mostly Chinese, Indian, and Filipino tourists. Thruway east may recluses until tonight. Some people still trapped on bus. Several people died including a child.

I saw a report from someone going the other direction that they could see where the bus swerved into the grass in the median and then coverorrected and went off the right shoulder and tipped on its side in a ditch next to the road. Some people were ejected. Everyone was out of bus by 2 PM.Happened about 1 or so.

Besides the helicopters, people being rushed to ECMC and Children's. Thruway is closed Eastbound between Depew and Pembroke

The only time I "protested" was in 2000 in SF on Black Friday. for Bush Jr in the hanging chad matter. Since it was a day off, I went. Had one of the scum spit on a senior lady in our group. We did our chant as one of the cable cars stopped in front of us. The tourist's jaws dropped. Had a permit and had the cops escort us down Market street towards the Ferry Building. Lots of middle fingers which we replied to with blowing kisses and saying "Thank You! Bush is #1!". Just made them seethe more. At oe point, we spotted a funeral coming and quieted and hung our heads in respect while the counter protesters (<12) kept yelling. The cop yells at them, "A funeral is coming A-hole!" . At the end we gave a hip-hip-hooray to the cops and they said we were the nicest protesters they had ever seen.

JFK was when I was in 1st grade. The teacher got a call on the wall phone and stepped outside in the hall for a minute or so. She comes back in crying and tells us the president was shot. The school was grades 1-5 with about 30 people. They had a TV on wheels and set it up in the hall. We watched the coverage and heard Walter Cronkite tell us JFK was dead. We had ro wait for busses to send us home early. Remember watching the funeral. That was Saturday. I think it was Sunday I saw Oswd getting shot o live TV. My dad was standing in front of the TV just repeating Holy Sh*t!!!, just like I did when I saw the second plane hit live on 9/11.
