  1. Attended UB as an undergrad '75-'79. F' n hippies in the late 60s caused the school to not have a football team into the early 80s. Too militaristic. My first class was around 10 and I had to take the bus there. Would sit in the big lounge in Norton with the large fireplace with classmates from Cheektowaga Central who also attended UB. The basement had a Rathskeller and a 10-12 lane bowling alley. Amherst Campus started opening up in 76-77. Most of the spine wasn't opened yet but they dorms were. The shuttle busses would run right next to the spine. The day before the Bizzard of 77 the shuttle bus route was snowed under. They dropped us off at Clemens Hall (English) and we had to walk outside like Sherpas climbing Everest to Fronczack Hall (Physics). Got in for the Physics lab and the immediately told us "The busses will stop running in one hour. If you have to go back to Main Street, leave now." The closest bus stop was at the Governors Dorms. Now there is a parking lot between them but back then it was fields with snow up to at least your knees.Took at least 20 minutes to make it to the bus stop. Caught the bus and got a rude back to Cheektowaga from a friend's dad who was coming to pick him up.
  2. Did you post this while filing the Gatorade bottle with pee during your break playing Minecraft in your mom's basement Billsy? Waiting for her to brihg you down some s'mores?
  3. Don't leave the Biden/Harris ones out in the sun. All you will have left is a pool of chocolate and she gold colored foil.
  4. The Creat Bahre Swamp is on Hopkins Road north of Klein. Only once in the last 10 years it was dry enough to ride a bike there.
  5. Then Amherst is a swamp UB north campus was a swamp. That's why it was empty and the state got it for so cheap. Ever hear to the Great Bahre Swamp?
  6. Eric Adams, the Mayor of NYC, was indicted by a Grand Jury today. The article (NY Daily News) I read was thin on the details but it said it may have to do with accepting $ from Turkey to help approve a new Turkish Consulate in Manhattan. Of course he states that it is phony and to punish him for criticizing the Feds for putting so many illegals in NYC.
  7. Watch the video Buffarkus posted. The scum was 100% guilty. Should have visited Old Sparky years ago.
  8. Ohj wait, Biden isn't running.
  9. How about 5.All of the above?
  10. And having a nice walk in blizzard weather without going outside! And staring at all the babes walking around!😀 Hey babe, wanna borrow my walker?😀
  11. It's not 11 miles. The intersection of the 190 and 90 at the Buffalo/Cheektowaga city line is more like 5 miles. I live about a mile farther away and if I get a little farther down mt street I can see most of the Seneca One Tower (the old Marine Midland Building). I heard the fireworks at the baseball stadium Friday night.
  12. The other malls are failures too. The Boulevard and Eastern Hills Malls are empty and will ne converted to mixed use.The Thruway Mall was converted back to a plaza. The Como Mall is an office "mall" although I still call iy the mall (I live about ½ mile away). I don't know how old you are b ut Southwestern from Transit to the Thruway was fields back in 1973. McKinley was empty south of Milestrip.
  13. What are you smoking? The stadium was in the middle of nowhere 50 years ago. There was o McKinley Mal or WQuakert Crossings. Ever go down Southwestern (US20) ay 5 PM o a wekday? It's worse tha Niagara Falls Boulevard.
  14. If I were you, I'd worry about my marital aid or my inflatable camel blowing up next. Hope you don't have a soda stream in your kitchen.
  15. Hammer's lot. It is right next to the new stadium and across Abbott Rd from the current stadium. It is also where Pinto Kenny has the ketchup and mustard ritual about 90 minutes before kickoff. The TBDers are at the SW corner of Hammer's lot along Abbott Road. Drink the shot from the bowling ball and have some of the pizza made in the filing cabinet/oven!
  16. Hammer's lot is right next to the new stadium. Just south of it on the same side of the street. The red pinto and Kenny's ketchup and mustard ritual are in the SW corner of Hammer's lot. Usually happens about 90 min before kickoff.
  17. I get urine and blood tested every two weeks. I'm on a lot of drugs. Of course, I had a kidney transplant 7 months ago😀. Still take 28 pills a day.
  18. There will be more businesses going up. Look at Southwestern Blvd. That was all fields back in 1973 when the stadium opened.
  19. Pelosi is. Trump offered THOUSANDS of NG troops. It was HER responsibility to take them. She admits this on camera. The camera that her daughter was filming her with at he time.
  20. Posted this on another thread a coupe months ago. My sister and her husband went on a cruise in the Mediterrean in late June. They spent 3 days in Rome and saw the Colesium. They were walking the mile or so back to their hotel and decided to get a drink on a hot day. They were sitting taking when a woman and her adult daughter at the next table heard them and said "you're Americans too?Where are you from?" My sister replies "Buffalo". The woman said "We are too!" Turned out the adult daughter is the executive chef for the staff and players at Highmark Stadium!
  21. The worst areas the AI voice mentioned are the slums. I was in ECMC for my transplant for over amonth Heard multiple sirens in the neighborhood every night with very few going into the hospital grounds. The worst one mentioned was the neighborhood near Emerson HS. I lived in that neighborhood for the first 4 years of my life (1957-1961) and then we moved to Cheektowaga where we has a nice big yard. We were.nt rich- Dad was a warehouseman (teamster) and mom a homemaker. Was a nice neighborhood then. About 2017 drove my mother past the house we rented back then. It was still standing bit couldn't tell if it was occupied or not The house next to it was gone as was the house that was behind it. I had relatives living on Goodyear between Broadway and Sycamore. Didn't go down it but on Google Earth View there are maybe 10 homes still standing on that whole block. Having the Dems running the city for decades upon decades are to blame. They haven't done a thing except to tear buildings down.
  22. Suddenly 1000s of pagers litter US college campuses.😀 Also hundreds of soda streams.😀
  23. What's next? Marital aids?
  24. Brilliant plan by Israel to hit Hisbollah. From what I heard they intercepted the shipment of pagers and put PETF in with the batteries. If they didn't kill the scum, at least the camels are now safe.
