Made an appt for the initial screening for the cataracts and that will be in June. They said they will probably do them this fall.

Got more details today. The guy was a druggie that was trying to steal their shovel. Saw him in the act, ran outside and tried to spray him with wasp spray. That's when he hit her with the shovel. Called the cops when they first saw him. Took them 40 minutes to show up. He could have claimed self defense and charged them. He was on THEIR property. The cops basically said they could nothing. They are talking about moving out of CA in about 3 years when they turn 65.
