Lol. Awesome explanation of why an obvious intentional grounding actually wasn’t one.

I'm a McD skeptic and I had no issue with either punt. Perfectly fine decisions there.
The timeout on defense on the last series after their first or second play was dumb.
The worst was letting Dorsey rub Murray out of shotgun on the 6 in line. That has to be under center with a fullback(preferably a DT) or Allen sneak.
Absolutely. At first I thought it may have been an RPO, but after looking at the replay, I see that it’s just a straight up hand off. The WRs don’t even move on the snap. They just stand there. If you’re going to so that, then put in your big guys.

On the Pats OL who was 5+ yds downfield?
He wasn’t engaged with defense, pass wasn’t backwards.
I don’t understand why this wasn’t a foul.
He wasn’t clearly downfield when the ball was thrown. It was a very close call. And since it had absolutely no bearing on the play I’m fine with the no call. Calling that play back because the OL was a foot too far downfield would have been exactly the kind of nonsense I hate from the officials.

i swear we have the angriest fan base known to man. i think people just sit around all day and pick different random things to be angry at
If you think this then you should waste a few minutes visiting some other fan sites. They will be an eye opener.

Been saying that. You don't get the special plays if you want a guy that "just takes what the defense gives you." You get a normal QB.
Or you get Tom Brady.
But I agree that Allen is very exciting to watch. He makes a lot of amazing plays that more that compensate for his screw ups.

I think it’s funny that so many people in this thread are good with Von slowly working his way back into form so that he is ready for the playoffs. The Bills really need help now to make the playoffs. With their remaining schedule they’re going to be in a dogfight to get in.
If there is anyone else available who can help then they need to activate him and keep Von on the bench.

Or make sure that on third down, we throw the ball past the sticks.
This is a huge pet peeve of mine. They execute the play and complete the pass, but still don’t get the first down. I hate it.

McD's record on calling those defensive TO's on key plays is astoundingly bad.
It appears he doesn't understand that the opposing team can simply call a different play!
I think the idea is that the opposing team can’t use the play (or at least the formation) they like best but have to go to plan B. Same as when this is done in basketball. The downside, IMO, is that it gives the offense time to think, whereas they would probably be scrambling otherwise. Based on the results, it doesn’t look like its made any difference but of course there’s no way to know for sure.

So just a question…do the McD defenders watch a 4th quarter like tonight and think “wow, that was so expertly managed, what a phenomenal head coach we have!”?
I think McDermott has done a great job in creating and managing a winning team culture. However, he is not a great game day coach. I guess you can have everything.

Is that you Dorsey?
play to the skills you have. If Henry is in your stable, change!!!
You mean like playing to the skills of their elite QB? This sounds like the Doug Whaley team building strategy- Get whatever good players you can find and hope the coaches can figure out a way to make it work.

It makes no sense. The Bills are a pass first team. Is he going to split carries with Cook?

Ok, false start.

Isn’t the Eagle RT Offside on every single pass play?

I think recievers not getting seperation at the line, and everyone but diggs having disappearing acts could be added to your list.
QB missing open receivers, drops, … the list can go on. It’s amazing how far the offense has fallen in two years.

A RB who stays in to block and can actually block would have helped today.
I know, right? It’s bad enough that they have to keep them in but then they miss their blocks anyway, 😂. Better off just sending them out.

The advanced stats showed he had the most time to throw per pass this season
I think this is deceptive. They are keeping TEs and RBs in to help block or at least chip on their way out so the protection is better but there are fewer receiving options. The other team double teams Diggs so they need other options to go to if they’re going to be consistent.

Team play our two TE's with Nickel or Dime. They have no respect for it being a bulked up package. They treat it as a 3 WR set and rightfully so.
This is a core problem. The Bills do run it more and have been better at it than last season, but not so much that teams come out of their pass defenses.

Use a Tackle as the TE if you are worried about it. We already do that constantly. Plus Sherfield can absolutely block if he’s out there on a run play and the FB can too.
Ok. Let’s give it a try.
