    Thanks for that.

I had forgotten how good Jim Kelly was. I never compare him to Josh, that would just be a wrong thing to do.

I noticed there wasn't a post-game handshake between Levy and Shula. I guess it wasn't a thing back then.

Marv was too busy celebrating with the team in the end zone, 😂

  2. Didn’t the Bills acquire him in the middle of the week and then start him for the last preseason game so that they didn’t risk injury to any of their QBs? Throw in mostly non-NFL teammates for that last preseason game and that’s not really a fair chance for an honest evaluation, IMO.

Even the cart paths can be treacherous when wet. True story: Severe downhill par-3, short but the path is almost straight. We play, leave, drive up to the next teebox and hear the telltale "screeeeeee-KRASH". It's blind from the box but from the fairway we could see the group had lost control and smashed into a tree, cart over on it's side. There was a foursome so they had gathered round, I guess there must have been some injury involved since later an ambulance arrived. A week later we're playing again, same course. We're not getting pushed, we go to check out where they wrecked. The cooler was still there in the brush, with some unopened beverages. They were tasty.

Not where I thought this story was going. 😂

Not that this is an answer to the question posed, but I always thought it ironic that the guy who actually played on the opposite end of the line from Bruce, Leon Seals, had the nickname “Dr. Sack.”

Here he was playing across from the man who would become the NFL‘s all-time sack leader and he almost never got to the QB. Yet he was the one that had that nickname. Of course, my buddies and I at the time took to calling him “Dr. Suck.” Seemed far more apropos.

We used to call him “Dr. Sackless” 😆

I think it is premature to include Josh. Right now it is OJ.

Every time OJ got the ball, the whole stadium used to stand up waiting to see something spectacular. It’s hard to express how electrifying a presence he was, especially to a youngster like me. But having said that, I still think it’s Allen. When he escapes the pocket it’s almost the same feeling and he’s already led more team success than OJ ever did.

I'm sorry but Jim Kelly should make this list before OJ. QB position is so much more valuable. Jim Kelly was magnitudes more valuable to this franchise than OJ and it was for a longer period of time.

But to answer your question,  my choice is Josh Allen and If he wins a super bowl this year it won't even be close anymore.

Back when OJ played, RBs were more valuable than QBs. He is the other contender, but it’s Josh IMO. Bruce Smith was the best defensive player they ever had and probably equally talented physically, but as has been said in other posts, Allen contributes more by virtue of his position.

    It's Bruce Smith.

Josh needs to lose 4 consecutive Super Bowls to catch up to Bruce.

Give Josh four hall of famers on the other side of the ball and let’s see what happens.

Division games are always tough. Especially late in season. I don't expect any of the next 3 games to be "gummies". Both teams have pretty good defenses that can keep them in the game...and the Jets have found some stride on offense.

I honestly could see us dropping one to the Pats. It's tough to beat the same team twice in a three week span. Especially if we rest a few extra guys week 18.

    I like gummies.
