  1. "Is that still a matter of players getting comfortable in the 4-3 scheme"

The interviewer tried to go there.....not there......anywhere but THERE! I

.... our 4/3 players aren't really 4/3 players.....let's bag it for another coach's scheme and draft accordingly....2-3 more draft's and FA's and we're going to be sick on our new 46 D!!!!

    HURRRRRRRLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :death:

  2. Agreed. Niners and Texans are looking like the real deal so far. We can hope that one of the two let their guard down. Jets/Pats....face it, we are their btch until we prove otherwise. Hoping the passing game is smoother under TJax....we would be much more dangerous if we could stretch the d out of the box......matter of time before he's the starter IMO. The D will continue to jell. There is hope for a couple wins out of these 5 games!

  3. Man, the cynics! Kelly never claimed that HE was going to be the owner but rather a football personality/figurehead associated on some level with the group of owners. I'm thankful that we have him as someone that had a HOF career here during our best years and speaks from the heart about staying in/loving the community/fans. I think he will be vying for, and rightfully so, a big visible position up top (like a John Elway in Denver) when the turnover occurs. Have to clear out the garbage we have there now....the pigs have been at that trough and skimming for far too long.

  4. I agree 100%.....today we see potentially a 9-7 team or 4-12 team.....which will they be.

So far I have seen a team with little intensity. I am not sure if the team has leadership. If they are waiting for Mario to deliver leadership, he will not. He has never been a leader...anywhere he has been.

I expect Kyle Williams to step up and slap a few helmuts today. Watch the sidelines today...you will see if any leadership comes out.

OH HOW WE MISS A "DARRYL TALLEY"

Even with all of the talent that we had on those teams, they had MANY games where they came out flat and spotted the other team a nice lead,

you would then see some pssd off guys in people's faces. Those teams had enforcers that would snap players out of a funk and will the team to win or at least fight tooth and nail to come back. They would make life hell for the team after a loss.

Watching Ray Lewis at his age come out and play like he's in a 21 y.o. body the way he did in THEIR home opener.....if you're on THAT team, how do you not go out and run through walls. He is the unquestioned leader...and never takes a play off. I would kill for one player on our team that has 50% of his intensity and is out there displaying it on the field and in the locker room.

The coaches have their part, but that part ends at the sideline. There has to be leadership/respect roles in the locker room and on the field. That comes from seasoned vets. We have had too many regime changes, and have let some high caliber veteran talent walk strictly because we didn't want to pay them. Too much to ask a Nick Barnett to walk cold into a losing organization and start throwing tables in the locker room. We rely HEAVILY on every draft to the point where we need several starters from it. Winning teams have established leaders/starters and are plugging holes with drafts....we're building large parts of our starting lineups with them. There is no player or coach or GM that came from the Bills old culture of winning...not a single tie back to those days that is an every day presence around the team. Except Ralph.....nuff said.

Winning cultures, natural leadership roles are things that you can't buy, import nor can you map them out in a war room.

Curious to see this week especially if our young team, our franchise condition/pressure to win burns a fire with certain players enough to get them to put the team on their back and WIN GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!

  5. Best ever use of the word "p*ssies"...

    I feel ya dog.

I wish the local area bred all the players FO managers and coaches we needed......there's no heart like that of a Buffalonian.

Unfortunately, we have to draft and acquire west coast fairy QB's that have no ties...and don't care...then fill them in with scrap heap QB's. Our FA's sign for dough and/or a lifeline, not to win here. Our star rookies whine about staying inside playing fukng PS3 because they can't be poppin bottles with models. We have Southern Good Ol Boys for management that only want to draft kids out of the south. Our owner prefers to live in Detroit. Our executive management seems to be there only for the skim.

I think you ball that all up, a pinch of 3/4 - 4/3, some terrible draft day decisions, and a lack of locker room leadership....

and you get a team that opens the season like a bunch of heartless fukng p@ssies. Nobody on the field FEELS what the long suffering fan feels....not sure they give a sh-t either.
