  1. Lol. keep deflecting. Offense Defense Special teams 3 components of a football TEAM needed to win. Thats not what we're talking about here.
  2. I would say now is the time when your subjective view of a matter overrides the objective, tangible data. For the 100th time, scoring isnt some weird, arbitrary stat. Its THE FUNDAMENTAL STAT. And for TWO seasons now we score at a top 10 level. Talk about refusing to accept the obvious.
  3. Its not an excuse but more of a reality: the turnstile at WR has affected the chemistry between QB and WR. And for most of our games this season Goodwin was the only deep threat at WR. That being said i think TT shouldve taken more shots down the field at times. Hes been more conservative down the field this year almost to a fault. And there are several reasons for that IMO.
  4. I have a serious question: if we had a QB that passed for 250-300yds a game but had no running game, would the same outcry exist? I dont think it would. We could even be scoring less than we do now. But who cares bc we can pass well. I can really see less of an outcry if this offense was reversed. People just dont care about the running game. Its all about passing. Even if you suck at least you go down passing. I think thats the mindset that wont change.
  5. Insightful post. The world is still flat, too. You think after 2 full seasons of being among the best in the NFL at scoring, defenses would figure out how to stop this one dimension. Fact is its not that easy to stop the run when you HAVE to spy on the QB and keep contain. To not acknowledge the asset that TT is to the offense in that respect is foolish. As for passing, if you want more yards then we'll have to run less. But why do that when our offensive formula already works. We score. And we score a lot.
  6. It would never happen. But if Rex could put aside his ego and work with Gus Bradley (or the best DCoordinator available) and let him run the defense while Rex leads the TEAM, id be 100% ok with Rex, Lynn, and Bradley as our staff next season. Pipe dream, i know
  7. This is nonsense. Imagine how much better this OFFENSE would be with Hoyer. We would be averaging about 40pts a game and setting all-time NFL scoring records. (Sarcasm intended)
  8. Let the season play out Id say. The offense has gotten better (which was not expected). The defense has gotten worse (which is probably the most damning aspect of Rex's tenure). So overall the team is probably about the same. Im not advocating for Rex, but i can also entertain people wanting him one more season.
  9. When Rex said he was going to improve the top 5 defense id say pretty much everyone knew he was talking out of his ass. And as for the playoffs, i dont exactly recall, but did he give a timetable? I dont think Rex wouldve expected getting fired after 2 seasons.
  10. I know. But its a divisional game and those are always a coin flip anyway. Mularkey will mess it up somehow.
  11. I dont view it that way. When a coach talks or politicians talk you have to be conservative with your expectations. I never understood how people continue to believe everything theyre fed by people who are simply saying what you want to hear. Rex doesnt play on Sundays. He can talk a good game but hes not playing.
  12. I think Houston In Ten
  13. Glad you're back. Negativity sells. People love to complain. Complain about work, their families, the weather, politics, the Bills. Some people simply cant carry a conversation without complaining.
  14. There is very little, if any, correlation between 3 and out % on offense and whether a team is successful overall. https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/three-and-out-percentage/2016/
  15. Points bad. Passing yards good. Its the dumbing down of America. Offense breaking scoring records for the franchise and easily 50% of the fanbase is too mentally challenged to even appreciate it.
  16. Who cares if we rank 31/32 in passing yards. If we want to rank 15th in passing yards odds are we wont be 1st in rushing. To rank higher in passing you have to pass. We dont. By design. If you want to change the design you'll probably have to change the HC/OC. WhIch may very well happen. But to your point. Right now tyrod has 20 combined TD which puts him around 15th for scoring by a QB.
  17. For what its worth: all my non-Bills friends (the majority), consisting of Giants, Jets, Dolphins, Chiefs, and Redskins fans all think that Rex will and should be back next season.
  18. This offense has the Bils record for team rushing TDs. Not the individual player. Helps to have your QB rush for 6 TD's as well.
  19. I had a tear in my shoulder. Running isnt possible for a while. Neither is jumping. Bicycle can only do so much.
  20. Welcome to TSW where excuses are made for every QB in the NFL except our own. In one sentence you managed to give the guy 3 excuses. Fitting right in already. Keep telling yourself that. I guess we've been getting garbage time points for 2 years now bc we're top 10 for 2 seasons now in pts/game. How lucky of us.
  21. Buffalo - 9th in pts/g Denver - 21st in pts/g
  22. Bc he wasnt called out on TSW. Clearly.
  23. We drafted one too.
