  1. I would lean towards agreeing with this. However, I could also see a scenario where Whaley has his own vision of what this team should be, and he'll make his hiring based on the best fit to his views. Only natural (in my opinion).
  2. I'd love to see this defense make stops on a short field b/c of turnovers 2x a game.
  3. We rank #3 in the NFL in touchdowns per game right now. Not much room for improvement unless people here think that bringing a rookie QB is going to take this offense to NFL record-setting levels. So imagine how awesome this team is going to look when we don't score more TD's next season but have 15 more INT's from the QB position.
  4. I would love Lynn as the HC and Schwartz as the DC, but that can't happen since he's already the DC with the Eagles, he would have to become HC unless his contract expires after this season? I don't recall how long Schwartz's contract was for.
  5. In other words, if Lynn says "hey Whaley I want TT back next season, pick up the option" Does Whaley think, well I don't like TT, let me look at the next candidate in line to see what they want to do...That has to play a factor here. I honestly don't know what Whaley objectively thinks of TT.
  6. This I can live with, b/c I agree that regardless of what TT has done here, if the new coach doesn't want TT then so be it. Let the new coach decide. However, playing devil's advocate: if Whaley doesn't want TT, do you think he'll hire a HC that agrees with his views of TT (assuming Whaley isn't sold on TT)? Or will Whaley hire the best HC candidate regardless of the candidate's views on TT. I would assume Whaley would try to hire someone who shares his views/direction for the team.
  7. Glennon is the exact same age as TT: 27. People think Tyrod is like 32 yrs old apparently. Only a handful of teams in the NFL have scored more TD's than the Bills since 2015. Scoring can't be ignored. Tyrod has 23 TD's this season between passing/rushing, putting him in the top HALF in the NFL in scoring for QB's (all while having the least turnovers for any NFL QB).
  8. If we do not pick up the option, he's automatically cut, meaning he's automatically an UFA, meaning he can sign with anyone, meaning we can offer him a new contract, meaning he'll probably tell us to go pound sand. I see no way TT comes back to Buffalo if we don't pick up his option. I wouldn't. Another team will sign him.
  9. Agreed. I would be perfectly fine with Lynn as the HC. Could you imagine if Lynn was an OC with any other NFL team, and that NFL team was 7th in the NFL in scoring and top 10 in several offensive categories? This forum would be all over him. We need to do with Lynn what we didn't do with Schwartz: promote him.
  10. If the Bills don't pick up the option on Taylor (an option that pays him an average, to slightly below average $$$ value for an NFL starting QB), and decide to go with either EJ or a rookie QB next season, this franchise is completely hopeless.
  11. His article loses any credibility when it fails to account for the entire purpose of bringing Rex to Buffalo: to continue to build on the really good defense we had in 2014. The article shifts blame from Rex to the QB, failing to take into consideration that the QB is part of an offense that ranks 7th in points scored and top 5 - top 10 in many offensive categories, while the defense is literally a steaming pile of $h*t.
  12. HC - LYNN OC - KROMER DC - GREG SCHIANO
  13. Really? Man this off season is going to be brutal. I may have to go into hibernation mode sooner.
  14. Agreed
  15. Yup. Id almost guarantee if Rex's defense was dominating and it was the offense that was severely sputtering, Rex would be coaching the Bills year 3 Even if he finished 8-8
  16. Offense carried the defense. Not the other way around. Unfortunately Rex is in a position where Defense is supposed to be his specialty. So he cant keep blaming the DC. Its his system. And they got even worse in year 2. So if you cant blame the DC, then Rex has to go. Being objective here.
  17. Im not against going for guys with minor blemishes. However, Kelly's entire adult life so far is marked with blemishes. No thanks.
  18. Why would you even want to do that? Pick up the option and hes about what the 20th highest paid Qb? Wouldnt his cap hit be ridiculous if he was franchised? This is 100% about new HC signing off on TT and Bills waiting for that to happen. They have months to decide on option.
