i have said this elsewhere but it appeared to me, a casual no credential having observer, that JP expected EM to continue vertical with his seam route and that EM read the safety over top and rounded off his pattern....when JP released the ball, he was clearly leading EM downfield and the play shows that EM was moving right to left expecting the ball to come in flat between the receivers on more of a deep crossing route. This to me is just completely on JP. This is the kind of thing an experienced QB anticipates. Again, he isn't the first green QB i have seen do this same exact thing. "Feel" for the game is something JP currently has none of.

I can't remember which quarter, i think the second, but there was a 3rd and 2 for the saints. The ball was handed to Duece who was met about a yard deep, head on, by L. Milloy. Duece proceded to go through Milloy for a about 3 yards and the first down. On that play i thought to myself, now i see why the pats let him go in favor of Rodney Harrison. This isn't the first time i have seen Milloy completely run over by a back. I miss Leonard Smith. Secondly, i said this last week and i will say it now, troy vincent is absolutely useless as a safety. He just looks lost.

5 points from the Saints-Bills game

i have to say i do agree with this point. The play action was good and it held the rush back. There wasn't anyone coming at JP on that play. Now, his accuracy is another thing entirely. Kinda looked like he expected Moulds to go more vertical while moulds seemed to begin to drift sideways. -

JP Losman vs Josh McCown vs Alex Smith
Garranimal replied to Ralonzo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch the first half again...McCown missed wide open guys all over the field. One TE right down the seam for a sure TD and Boldin on a corner route for another. He didn't look a whole lot different than JP. difference is, his coach didn't pull him when they were down by two. -
After listening to his interview on WGR, i want this guy on our sidelines every weekend!! He still sees the field well and can pass that on.

Hey Steven, how did that work out against the Gators?

Not looking to take a beating here, but did Troy Vincent look totally out of position all day yesterday? To be fair, it is the first i have noticed this thus far this season. But at times i kept thinking that he had no clue how to play safety. I am looking for comments, tell me i am wrong and why, maybe my perception was skewed...his is an ex-dolphin and all.

i was there...not much of a breeze at all. Certainly no gusts. JP was just inaccurate yesterday.

Sr's first mistake was letting him go to the "U", where learning to be a jack-ass is tradition.

Bills resign Shane Matthews

One instance is a penchant?? Where do you get your definitions? I sense you have found your new Travis Henry. -

You know, that argument, that has surfaced here for years is just the stupidest thing i have ever seen. Let me ask you, should we all hate Jim Kelly for "hanging Don Beebe out to dry" where he ended up landing directly on his head and nearly broke his neck. The argument is ridiculous. Good god, get some perspective.

Uh...not for nothing there Bart, but who threw him the ball? You don't get that many yards and yard after the catch for poorly thrown balls. I recall flutie being razor sharp with getting the ball to moulds on the run in that game. Flutie, like kelly (in this respect particularly) is an INT waiting to happen. Flutie plays football by feel not by design. He establishes trust in his supporting cast (like moulds) and will throw the ball into bad situations and trust that his guy will know what's coming and win the battle. Sometimes, it is just plain dumb and bad, other times, it looks like pure genius and you get a feeling that your rarely get watching football. The game (i don't remember specifics) where flutie scrambled, ran across the field and then threw an overhand lateral to Thurman trailing the play just made you laugh and love watching a "game". The kind played by kids. Now, all this said, I will take Kelly over flutie every time, but in hindsight, had i known then that i would have to watch another 5-6 years of piss poor boring football, i would have endured flutie and a little excitement everyweek. It was certainly more fun drinking the Koolaide thinking that magic actually existed than watching a team with the second coming of joe fergy and the slumped and dejected look. My two cents, for what it is worth.

Out of this list of underclassmen
Garranimal replied to Mile High's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In order: 1. Richie Incognito (just to listen to chris berman say his name) 2. Rashad Jeanty 3. Alex Ofili 4. Channing Crowder, this guy is a monster 5. Roscoe Parrish (miami receiver, cha-ching) 6. Frank Gore or Ciatrick Fason -
i just scan your posts for the "travis sucks" part and then feel all is right with the world.

This reminds me of the Southpark where the kids have to pick a new school mascott because of PITA protests. They nominate a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich. Eerily similar.

Hey, i am just happy that BillfromNYC managed to post twice without a Travis Henry sucks comment in it.....talk about a crusade. Should the word "crusade" be replaced by "fezmid". This does seem to qualify.
-
it was an observation, i didn't say it was chronic, but in this game it was. and yes, a four yard loss no matter how it happens still sets up 2nd and long. and in the game, as in the beginning of the season, it resulted in the offense struggling
-
yes, i know it is sacrilege to say anything negative about Willis, but if Drew took a 4 yard sack on every first down, OMG, the misery.
-
Why, he was taking a "sack" on first down consistently. I have noticed that willis takes more awkward tackles than any running back i can remember.

SDS, buy it. I have a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, a Chrysler Prowler, and a 300C with the Hemi and all have been excellent. In all honesty, the Dakota has been the best vehicle i have ever owned, hands down and that includes cars like a 94 porsche 3.6 turbo, Pontiac Firehawk, and Mustang Cobra. I actually think american automobiles are pretty decent in fit and finish. The 300 is powerful, rides nice and is very well put together. The prowler has been fairly problematic, but what do you expect from a hand built car that i never really drive....talk about turning heads though.

The market for Travis Henry
Garranimal replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have to disagree with you. Edge is my fantasy back so i watch him quite frequently. To be honest, the team doesn't really drop off with D. Rhodes in, in place of Edge. I don't think colts can or want to pay him top dollar. I think Miami is very probable. So he can go back and hang out with his old pals. -
The market for Travis Henry

For what it's worth, a college buddy of mine is an estate attorney in Philly and his firm does some work for a few Eagle's players. He was told by one of the Olinement that Modrak has already spoken to people in the Eagles organization and that it is very possible that Henry will end up there. I guess being the odd man out in buffalo might be a good thing. Play for the train wreck bills or for the dominant eagles.....hard choice. Again...for what it's worth, which is second hand hearsay. -
uh huh.
