Bledsoe supporter here, and I even wear the jersey
Garranimal replied to jc707270's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So by the literal interpretation....that would make you a jock supporter. hey hey, nothing personal...it was just too good to pass up -
ah yes, winning still isn't enough.

Bill what will you do when McGahee starts and we lose? You will have no whipping boy to put in your EVERY post? Oh wait, McGahee had the lion's share of the carries last week and we DID lose. And he helped with giving the raven's seven points. Good god, you are worse than Spikedlemonade.

actually, so much focus is on this area that it clouds the other problems. To give an example, here in Tampa, Gruden made the unpopular decision to bench Brad Johnson and start Simms and later Greise. In both cases, Gruden has stated that those two quarterbacks gave his team a better chance to win because their style of play meshed better with the talent they had. Johnson is only two years removed as a SB winner and he is now third string. While i don't think Gruden is a great coach, he is decisive. This isn't to say that Bledsoe is the only or even the biggest problem, a change to see if someone else might accomplish more at any position is worth a shot.

Get out! the guy with the ball ran out of gas, maybe with some effort ala Don Beebe, he strips the ball out and we get it back. Hard to know since he was watching the veteran chase the guy down and tackle him. Sorry, this is no excuse for stopping. And admit it Steve, if Travis had done the same thing, you would have been all over it. Be honest.

And he's made of teflon.

Could you quote where i say that? Maybe Willis is the lead blocker, everyone is found of his blocking.....maybe that is the role they have for him. I don't know, but I do know that marshall faulk is usually in a one back set, so i guess he doesn't need a lead blocker. Perhaps there is no plan to utilize a lead blocker but to keep the defense guessing as to which back will carry the ball. But i am sorry, your need to be absolutely right can't allow for such thoughts.

you know that is just a bunch a crap. Watch the games again. I will be the first to admit that travis isn't a premier blocker. In the third quarter, travis had a block on lee suggs that was textbook. for the last few weeks, excluding the miami game, in the bills chat room (hosted by Fez) people have particularly pointed out when good blocks were made by either back. This is just another generalization that one person makes and everyone parrots, like Travis fumbling...which he hasn't done this year. This is a friggin team and willis' comments about there are no friends on the football field is just a bunch of immature nonsense. By the way, watch the ravens game, there are two plays that fortunately were quick passes because Willis totally whifs on his blocks. Should we no call him a terrible blocker....i don't think so.

Seems to me like everyone is just angry because this board is more about being right than it is about what actually makes sense for the bills. If you don't think having Willis and Travis in the backfield is having your best players on the field than i am stumped. Would your prefer shelton over either guy. Three weeks ago when Travis was the starter, this board complained to high heaven, where are the travis and willis two back sets? Well here it is, but since it doesn't prove everyone right, it is the stupidest move ever. Get some perspective. Maybe the pro football guys aren't as certain of Willis' stardom with his 3.5 ypc average as you all are. One good game and one lousy game (with a mistake that cost the team 7 points, and giving up on another play) doesn't a canton member make. Both guys on the field put the most talent on the field.
-
What the hell has travis actually said. Can you actually post a quote, because the only one that seems to be doing the talking is Willis. Willis in preseason and willis now.
-
Good one, did mommy help you with the spelling. Register, then take your crayons and go eat them.

Just another UM cancer. But wait, he is Teflon Willis.

i have Lee suggs on my fantasy team, watching that guy is like watching thurman with power. He can catch and runs hard.

Did anyone notice #21 giving up on that ..
Garranimal replied to Greybeard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well lets see, by logic, there are at least 5 maybe 6 fat guys who wont make it into the picture even if they are running, that leaves 5 (or 6) of which i saw moulds, and evan, figure the other ones get blocked. two blocks is believable and willis who just gives up......just stopped running and watched...and it was caught on camera as clear as day. don't know about everyone else, didn't see them, saw willis clearly. -

Teflon Willis! He gave up just like Peerless did, but you are ok with it. Unbelievable. Had Henry done the same thing, you guys would have been constructing a cross to crucify him on. -
Time for the Losman/McGahee era to start..
Garranimal replied to tjwbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
funny, no mention on here of Willis' big gaff that cost us 7 points. Same play except with travis and i can think of 10 posters here who would have started threads about that very play. Teflon Willis. -
What's the worst problem on this team?
Garranimal replied to KurtGodel77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the usual suspects with the same rant over and over. why exactly did Spiked get banned. Needs to happen more. -
excuse me? what? explain how he got us to the playoffs. You mean he was handed a playoff team after watching from the bench all season. The defense got us to the playoffs. He played on meaningless game. I love revisionist history.

Will any body be suprised

Yes, but again. Take away the defensive score and the bills are playing from behind. 32 yards on 9 carries for the first half is 3.55 ypc. Now, if the bills are behind in the second half, the RB sees the ball half as much and never gets a rythm. That has been bills football to this point. Additionally, in that case (no D score) the innability to score from inside the 5 would have been monumental. The fact that WM did not find the endzone from inside the 5 is overlooked because of the ultimate outcome. Had the bills lost, it would have stuck out the same way Travis' no touchdown (touchdown) did.
