I for sure thought that Ralph would go OUTSIDE OBD to hire a GM. This would give fresh input on whats wrong with the team and fix it. I don't know how this is going to play out but it shows that Ralph does not trust anybody but yes men. The only way this will work if Ralph takes a seat back and lets Nix run it the way he wants to. Otherwise same sh&&, different decade. Kinda disappointed in the Nix hiring

If you are going to trade up, trade up and get Okung who will be a starter for the next 8 yrs easy. You could live with Fitz and somebody like Troy Smith next year if you can land a LT and focus on the run game.

Teams that need a QB will take them, the best will be off the board by the time the Bills pick. I would be very happy if the Bills choose the best OL or LB on the board. I doubt that Okung will be on the board when the Bills pick. If he is he is a no-brainer. Bruce Campbell(OT) might be there . If the Top 2 QB's are gone and Campbell and Okung are off the board I think the Bills do 2 things, get MCClain at MLB and move Poz to OLB or move down and get some more draft picks. It really depends what Cleveland decides to do. If the new GM/coach wants his guy they take Bradford. If not the Bills might luck out and get Bradford.

Ngata is the one the pisses me off the most. I mean him and Stroud.. Throw in the Rack and Schobels season this year we a makings of a damn good defense. Think of how many more INT's we would have with the secondary we have with the extra pressure.... Damn is the word that comes to mind

I mentioned this in a topic early mid-way into the season and got shot down. I would think he would be a good GM, I think he would be pro-active in fixing the O-line, and he would most def know a good QB when he see it and I think he would go after Russ Grimm as head coach. Jaws GM football side with Buddy Nix head assistant. Brandon...same job as now...marketing wiz HC....Russ Grimm OC..Fat Boy Weiss DC ?? I don't know if Jaws would keep Fewell as DC but you have to admit we would have been better without the injuries. I think if they talked to Jaws he would damn sure listen.

I would add George Wilson, Scott, Ellison, McKelvin and Lindel to the keeper list. Wilson is better than Whitner at this point. I would keep Ellison as a backup at both OLB positions. He was the leading Tackler on the team before he got hurt. Whitner could be backup at both safety positions. Sad to say but he does have value to the team as a backup. The Bills secondary is not the problem, its the front seven that hurt the ballclub. Poz would be a good outside LB. They need someone like Pat Willis in the middle. Put Maybin at ROLB during training camp next year and see if that works out. They need to get bigger in the front seven.

All the QB's you mentioned are Excellent. Manning, Brady, McNabb, Favre, Warner, Brees are sure Hall of Famers. They can get by with just an average O-line because they have seen everything a D can throw at them and know what to do. But the OP has a point, you can get to the playoffs with a decent QB and a Above average O-line. Fitz is not great but he would have put up some decent numbers if he had time to throw. I say draft O-line first round, even if they get somebody in the free agent market. But that should be the main focus because you can win with Jackson and Lynch running to put you in 3rd and short situations. We do need a QB badly but we need some Tackles more IMO.

Hmmm, the Sabres are in first place and last I checked they play in the NHL.. not the AHL When things get tough the tough get going..... If your soft, a fair weather fan so to speak... then all I can say is Buh bye. Im going to stick around and watch the turnaround , and when the Bills make the playoffs again I can say I was still there when we sucked, which would make it twice as sweet. I will not fight against the Vick haters on this board , they have their thoughts. But is Collins, The Chad or Jason Cambell better than Vick?? I dont think so. If they dont get lucky in the draft with a QB, and I hope they get one in the draft...hint hint 2 round... I would not have a problem in Bringing Vick in for a workout....give him number 7............J.P.'s number

If Weis was OC, Im ok with that. If Clausen ends up with the Bills, Im ok with that also But if he was head coach ...who would his DC be???. Well at least he would know the Pats, can't think the offense up their has changed that must since he left... I could see how the Bills are thinking. But I think they better get the GM position filled first, not the other way around.

If you think about it Schobel is correct...his skills against the run have gone down. Alot of cut back runs we had a D this year were to his side. Plus I think the mental drain on being on a non-playoff team can wear you down. Year after year. Barry Sanders got tired of it too. Schobel was an nice DE, good moments but wasn't great. I say get Maybin on the field more , see what you got in this kid. Maybe the offseason moves will make him reconsider. But I would not be surprised if he did, good for him.

I could live with this, treat it as a preseason game and whoever has the better game starts next week. Id like to see Hamden play myself.

I practiced there twice, when I played for Canisius college because we needed to practice on the artifical turf before we played against Rochester, who had turf back in the early eighties. It was cool, I remember it fondly.

This makes sense to me , hear me out. Daryl Talley says he would help out OBD, I say bring him in as a assistant LB coach, or even as a consultant. I think he would help not only Maybin make the switch to LOLB. But may teach Poz, Palmer, Harris a thing or two. Lets face it Maybin is not going to get to many snaps at DE, not with the way Schobel and to my surprise Kelsey have been playing. So way not make him a LB? This way he can be matched up more with a RB blocking him, not an 330pd Lineman. Maybe its too late for this year. But For the OTA's and training camp next yr I think its a good idea.

We have to get a REAL GM first and foremost. Let the GM pick the HC Let the Head coach picks his OC and DC. HIRE A NEW TEAM TRAINER, this team is injured way to often the last 3 yrs for it to be just random. Get a LT in the draft or during the free agent signing period. Should have done this last yr. Get a stud OLB or MLB in he draft. Get a draft pick for Donte Whitner. He is worth something to somebody hopefully. Let T.O. go...... I had my popcorn ready but damn no butter lol Let Josh Reed go. Find a QB, let Fitz be the backup. This is a 2 yr project. I just dont see a quick turnaround with this .

I dont see how ANY QB can feel safe behind this line..... much less make some plays. If he does play, which I doubt, I hope he learned from the Aaron Rodgers School of run for your life ,then throw the ball to SOMEBODY.... Wonder if T.O has tweeted on the subject

McLovin...err McKelvin is a good player. We miss him on Kickoffs and was the starting CB. Has Pro Bowl potential if he keeps his head on straight. Whitner plan and simple was the wrong draft pick. George Wilson is a better player than Whitner period. Makes it worse Wilson is a former WR. Byrd and Scott at the Safeties for next year. Trade or cut Whitner . He has little use as a backup at FS because he cannot cover. Maybin is out of position. A better coaching staff would make him an OLB, but we suck at coaching so there you go.

Here is a list of guys I would like to see play next 2 weeks. James Hardy......He cant be any worse than Josh Reed. Needs playing time Steve Johnson.... He cant be worse than Lee Evans., maybe he will catch more than 2 passes a game. Brain Brohm ...... He cant be worse than Fitz, if he is cut his Ass LB Palmer ....... He cant be worse than Draft Maybin ............ Time for him to grow up and earn his money another street free agent OLineman cant be worse than Chambers PLEASE START JARIUS BYRD PLEASE Lil Donte sucks.........period, and trade his non producing ass during the offseason. I wonder if we can bring back Hamdam........... lol
