The bottom line...Cook can ask for what he wants....doesn't mean he is going to get it. Nobody is going to pay him more than a guy who just put up 2000 yards. Last I looked Barkley was at about 12.5M. Cook isnt going to get more than Saquon. Im not losing my mind because he posted some unrealistic number.

i think that's because McD has still fallen 2 steps short of the goal a superbowl win. Offenses get progressively better the further you advance in the playoffs. First round you're playing a WC team, probably a little better than .500, then most likely a division winner, then probably the no.1 seed then you have to beat the other conference champion. The defense has never been at the level it needs to be. Even more reason to address the defense that falls short.

I think this notion of creating some unstoppable offense instead of having a good defense is insane. Ive seen our Kelly no huddle offense get stopped in 4 superbowls. I've seen the greatest show on turf get upended by Brady's Patriots. The Giants stopping the Randy Moss era big offense Patriots. Ravens winning bowls with Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco. I dont know how much better Josh can play in the playoffs with 33 tds(pass/rush/rec) vs 4 ints and you still cant get to the bowl and not realize it's on the defense and it has to be fixed. Getting a defense to say hold the other team in playoff games to a low 20s should be the plan, not having Josh have to perfect, because he's been about that.

Amen, Dawson Knox last year 22 catches 311 yards 1 TD. In 2023 22 catches 186 yards 2 tds. Next years cap hit 14.6 million. Anyone want to compare where he stands in TE production vs where he stands in TE pay? Yet another example where Beane crapped the bed with a signing. I would trade him for a pick and get that base at least off the books and use that on Cook.

I dont want to see this offense without Cook and Shakir. Cook gets yards in chunks and Shakir is great after the catch. Both are slippery, eel type runners. Don't want to go back to the days of no speed guys Moss and Singletary types and catch and fall type receiver.

He sure as hell deserves more than Dawson Knox when you look at production.

The Kelly no huddle Bills got to the superbowls and in 4 AFC championship games they gave up 33 totals points in those 4 AFC championship games. The offense didn't have to carry the load in all of those games. Still laughing at the Washington General to Andy Reid's Globetrotters. Well done.

We need a championship defense. We scored the most points in the NFL counting the playoffs. Fun fact, during the Kelly years, the Bills gave up 33 total points in 4 AFC championships. Yeah and Josh has 33 TDs(passing/rushing/receiving), 4 ints and a passing rating over a hundred and in the playoffs and you cant get that to a Superbowl. You're a defensive coach and you cant get that kind of offensive production to the promised land.
