  1. Well in the March 2013 season motto post(pre-draft) I wrote 2 replies 2013-Lets get this over with and Mourn on the Kolb Thats how excited I was about the Kolb signing.
  2. I agree with ya Tuesday. I would criticize this team if they signed Austin Collie as a receiver. Tjack has actually looked impressive this pre-season. I feel bad for Kolb but the reality is if you summed up his career with 2 adjectives it would be unimpressive and injury prone.
  3. Captain checkdown v3.0
  4. That reply was a thing of beauty, well done sir.
  5. I love the line of the poster who wrote them maybe we should call this site Buffalo Bills rainbows and lollipops. Never understood people who dont think that we as fans should questions moves and decisions this team makes and just spend our time offering praise for everything they do. Eventually the rainbows fade and you have to start believing your lying eyes. A few things that concern me: 1. Getting shredded by the 3rd and 4th string QBs of the Skins. 2. Not stopping the run. This horror movie has run year after year in Buffalo. Seems like a pretty fundamental aspect of the game if you want to be a good team. People are responsible this includes the DL, including fan favorite Kylie Williams and its time to stop making excuses for Dareus. People have to get penetration and linebackers have to fill. Enjoy part 20 this year against the Pats starring Ridley, co-starring Vereen and Blount taking the place of BJGE and Danny Woodhead. 3. Ive always questioned the talent evaluators in the front office, never had faith in Nix and never tried to spin and twist rationality into a pretzel to justify his decisions, including Spiller, passing on local boys like Gronk and Williams, taking Troup and Williams, etc. Going into camp with just 3 QBs, a rookie, a UDFA and the other an injury prone underachiever who now seems Austin Collieesque as a concussion waiting to happen. 4. I question anyone who has watched preseason to tell me TJack is not miles better than Kolb. Yet somehow our football professionals cut him loose for Kolb. 5. No first downs for a half? Sorry alarm bells in my mind. We not talking points were talking a simple first down. 6. A secondary, that we constantly invest picks into without much results. And dont question my fandom. I plunk down my money for Sunday ticket and root for them every Sunday. I live out of state, I wear the gear and take plenty of trash talk from friends, I just dont defend incompetance. I live among Steeler fans and can see what a well run organization looks like and know that playoffs and superbowls can be attained, they are not mythical unicorns, yes they exist. It's a new era with Marrone and Whaley at the helm. I hope with ever fiber that they succeeed, but if results dont materialize then somebody is responsible and everybody should call a spade a spade.
  6. If EJ reinjures that knee we are Clowney favorites.
  7. The run D concerns me still. We can get gashed straigt up the gut or around the corner. As run stuffers, Dareus and Williams sure arent Sam Adams and Saragusa. Brad Smith brings nothing to this team anymore, he's not needed as a returner and his couple of hundred yards a year receiving just takes away development from somebody like Easley, Rogers or Hogan. Cut Smith and use the savings to lock up Byrd. We better be searching the waiver wire for backup guards. Tuel, wow what can you say for an undrafted FA, might have our new Frank Reich on the roster.
  8. 6 or 7 series and no first downs......impressive.
  9. Starting Kevin Kolb gives me no confidence. To me he's just another never will be who will never lead any team to anything. If EJ comes in mid-year I dont expect him to light it up. The receiving corp is young, inexperienced(other than SJ) and will take a while to develop. I dont think the OL got better. The TE crew is mediocre to poor. The D has to be better, nobody could do a worse job than Wanny did last year. However not signing Byrd, and if he holds out, seems like more of the same old Bills, constantly letting good secondary people walk(and yes I know he can be signed again next year but this doesnt seem like they're going to meet Parker's and Byrd's demands). Which is a shame because this guy has a ton of turnovers during his tenure with the Bills. So I see a ying and yang, a wash, so 6-10 plus or minus one seems about right.
  10. Where's the Qb from Georgia rank I wonder. Man 14' could be similar to 83 in terms of QBs.
  11. Make no mistake EJ is the key. If he's big Ben, we struck gold, if he's the next Jason Campbell then we're spinning our wheels. Fingers crossed.
  12. Hell, have fun with the draft, it's a time of possibilities. Here's a link to Great Blue North page with trades. We trade the 8 for SFs number 1(31) their 2nd, 3rd, 5th and a 2014 second. http://www.gbnreport.com/tradeprojection.html Yeah, all these trades downs maybe dreaming, but it would be nice if Buddy just took a call or 2 during our time on the clock to listen to offers, you can always say no, we dont need to sprint the podium.
  13. I would have DE in my top 5.
  14. I dont ever remember a team questioning Rodgers toughness which I cant say for Kolb. Just when I think the Kool-aid drinkers cant get anymore delusional we get a Rodgers-Kolb comparison. And if Kolb had the same attempts as Rodgers and he would of been on pace for a 81 sack season.
  15. The point how the other cardinals QBs had a lower percentage of sacks was a little depressing, cant blame it all on the line when the other guys didnt get sacked like Kolb.
  16. Always hated the standing buffalo, looks like the only thing missing from it was a scope sight over it.
  17. Dirty Sanchez lit us up in this years opener, doesnt mean I want him.
  18. I 2nd the recommendation of ESPN's broke. The one line that stood out from that is the line about 'you can live like a king for a few years or a prince for the rest of your life. "
  19. While you posted that Ike Taylor was polishing one of his superbowl rings and you, Leodis McKelvin and Aaron Williams were at home in January watching Taylor get beat in a playoff game.
  20. The Bills havent traded down since Donohoe in the 3rd or 4th round years ago. If Im mistaken you can correct me. The Bills dont know how to work a draft.
  21. Well I'll try to explain why. I live in Pennsylvania surrounded by Steeler fans. They have consistently had one of the best defenses for over a decade in the NFL. Now quick tell me the no.1 corners they have drafted in the last 10 years.....I'll wait and remember I said corners. And here's a shock Gilmore isnt a shutdown corner, he maybe good but shutdown, I dont think so. Maybe he can make a probowl before we put him in the HOF. There is a true shut down corner maybe once every 10 years. The key to a good defense is pressure, the Steelers attack the opposing Qbs, they get sacks, they get fumbles, they hurry throws, they shut down the run. Now to me, it doesnt take a genius to see what the Steelers have been doing is working and what the Bills have been doing has not. Building a team with backs, be they RBs or CBs is not a very bright strategy. But hey maybe in year 14 of doing the same thing over and over this time it will work, but I doubt it.
  22. A corner, any corner and I maybe done with this team.
  23. I do agree it is a little telling that a lot teams have made moves for QBs prior to the draft, and KC who could have any of the QBs made a trade for Smith. I could see 1 maybe 2 go in the first. I think many fans have too many QBs going in their mocks in the first round.
