Our GM is a 70 yr old GM and first timer as well. He is a lifelong scout, not a GM so I am soure he does not have the contacts a tried and true vet GM would have right now. Let's face it, he is on a learnign curve.

We build thri the draft then 3 years later we don't re-sign the good palyers we drafted as they cost too much so we re-draft the same DBs we let go previously for no return. A viscous cycle. with no cap this year it wa sideal for us to fill holes with good players.

And in another 5 years we will be competetive....

My guess is his heart just wasn't into it. Was always rehabbing and getting hurt again and again. Was average at best anyway when healthy so I don't see this changing how or who we draft anyway.

I saw the Pistol offense work so well 2 and 3 years ago with Andrew Robinson as a QB I can't wait for us to use it.

Seems to me with rushing , recieving and KR and PR 's he must have had over 10,000 yards total. The guy did almost everything as I do remember him from my younger days. Bowlegged as could be and tough to knock down for a little guy. I don't have a problem with him making it but do agree Cookie should be in it also.
